Chapter 1: A Sight for a Sight

"I am blind, but I am no fool!" yelled Pharsa while slapping a prisoner of war named Yacubh three times in a row while being held captive with both feet and hands in shackles made from an unmelting iron forged at the ruins of Minos,

"TELL ME WHERE TO FIND HIM!" said Pharsa.

"...."

"Tell me or you shall never see any of your brethren's future!" she added.

"Ahhh! a powerful mage with a lovely face but blinded by revenge! What a pity!" he then scoffingly added, "With ye heart full of darkness and revenge, no light shall come to ye".

Pharsa was about to strike him with her staff when suddenly...

"My lady...." sighed a gargantuan-like, lowly, but calm voice. "You can never exact truth if the wrong person asks the question".

The earth started to shake a little bit from every stomp of his hoofs, the sound of his huffing and heavy exhales filled the chamber. In the shadows, he started to reveal his mighty self---a gigantic creature with the head and tail of a bull and the body of a man. A Minotaur.

"Speaking of the truth, my dear old Minoan guardian friend Gaelik here will instead exact the truth from you"

Pharsa knows very well that Minoan guardians have the ability to make anybody tell the truth by just staring into their eyes. She walked away from Yacubh pushing Gaelik to start the questioning.

"I guess I have no choice" said the Minotaur

He then started to ask Yacubh, "Speak to me...where can we find this Starsoul Magician?" Minotaur's eyes then turned into a glowing, crystal blue gem color implying that his magical ability is working.

Yacubh then was tantalized by the reflection in his eyes and started smiling; "I have never seen eyes like those"

"Oh powerful Guardian! let me stare at those eyes for an eternity!" he added.

"Yacubh...I cannot let you do that, for staring at my eyes longer will get your soul lost into the dark abyss where darkness and nothingness exist, now tell me the truth, where can we find the Starsoul Magician?"

"Near the forest of the Moon Elves in the east, there is a cave which can only be seen during the high moon eight days after its waxing" he then continued, "The cave can only reveal itself when the light from the moon hits a particular location---inside, you can find who you seek".

Pharsa with no hesitations, immediately prepared for her journey. With Verri, her loyal bird on her side, they headed east of the Moon Elves' forest. Pharsa missed no instructions from Yacubh, in no time, she found herself standing in front of the cave's opening under the moonlight. As brave as she is, she went inside and saw a lair which seemingly appears to be owned by someone who knows dark magic.

"Oh no! oh no! I know what you're thinking and NO! I do not practice the dark arts!" screamed a funky, quirky voice coming from a dwarf-like sized creature carrying tons of scrolls in his arms. "I am Cyclops, the name speaks for itself, see! I have only one eye!" he then laughed frantically as if it was funny to Pharsa. "..and I know what wou want" Cyclops said.

"Good. I want my sight back magician, tell me anything you want or who should I kill for you to help me get it back" said Pharsa

Cyclops begins to laugh harder and said, "You are fascinating! tell me first, are you willing to do anything to have your sight back? like, anythiiiiiiing?!"

"SPARE ME THE NONSENSE MAGICIAN! WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?"

"Very fine. However, the dark magic cursed upon you by the devil witch Alice may be strong---in fact, maybe too strong to be undone. I have all the ingredients to make a reversing potion, but not as powerful though. I lack one ingredient in my pantry, and I kid you not, I believe it can no longer be found in the Land of Dawn or in any other realm", Pharsa just stood there waiting for him to spill it,

"You need a pair of a minotaur's eyes; a sight, in exchange for a sight".

Pharsa was speechless. She stood there frozen and in disbelief.

"I cannot" she whispered.
