Chapter 4: Magical creatures
In this new world, a lot changed. Many ordinary jobs got lost, and new ones got created. Money changed all around the world, the usage of dollars, euro, etc got lost. And instead appeared the usage of gold coins, silver coins and copper coins which dropped from dungeon, waves and some monsters. A gold coins is worth 100 silver coins, and a silver coins is worth 100 copper coins. Even if coins is the most basic money used all around the world, people can still use other measures to pay for their necessities such as monster cores or even bank notes.
A monster core is where the magical energy from monsters come from, well saying that their magical energy comes from their core is actually a small mistake. A monster is a living being which couldn't assimilate correctly their magical energy and lost all rationality and got back to their survival instinct. Once a living being turns to a monster, all their magical energy accumulates somewhere in their body and turns into a core, which later on provides efficiently the monster their magical energy. That's why it's a small mistake made by a lot of people thinking that core are what creates monsters.
Even though the world nowadays knows what are cores, people are still skeptical about their nature but it's still not enough to stop them from using, buying and selling them. Cores are used for several reasons, you can use them to create weapons and armors which need magical energy, or you can use them to power up rapidly your summons or yourself, or you can even use them to power up your house for several years depending on their ranks. Cores have different ranks, their ranks go from 1 to 10 with 1 the lowest rank and 10 the biggest rank; to differentiate between them, basically the bigger the core, the better.
Then again, living being which could perfectly assimilate their magical energy are called magical creatures; in this you can classify everything from humans to goblins to dragons to demons.
The only difference between humans and other living beings is that, on their birth, humans don't wield any magical energy whereas others race do, that is why there is way more monster goblins without any rationality than their is magical creatures goblins.
The magical summoning eggs which Alex bought are all different, inside, if a creatures is masterless, then that creature is a magical creature which will follow and obey the one who will bring them to the world. But if a creature isn't masterless, then that creature is a monster that will be used for different reasons, such as training soldiers or adventurers or summons, or sometimes even used to destroy cities. Alex got many eggs which are masterless and can be used to reinforce your might and many which can be used to train yourself.
After walking outside for a bit, Alex started thinking about the future, in less than a month, a new wave will appear, which will be the new year's wave, the biggest one since they appeared.
'uhmm, so I got a little less than a month to start training my new wolfs and then it will be time to fight. I'm kinda getting tired from those waves, but still, I hope a new dungeon will appear not far away from me and not too many people will die.'
He looked at the sky now full of stars. Since the beginning of the waves, the pollution almost disappeared like it never existed, just like climate change or even the war for oil. The world now less polluted, and less bright from the lights made by electricity could show the full scale of stars, the outside world. At first people began to wonder if there was a world outside of this place, but the more time passed, the more monsters came, the more the stars could be shown and the more people began to reconsider everything.

After walking for quite a bit, Alex got out of the city and headed toward the forest. The farthest he got from the city, the more he grew excited about his new babies, he wanted so bad to let the out and go hunt with them, his nickname wasn't "The wolf hunter" for nothing after all. Once in front of the forest he took all of his summons out and ordered them.
"We will have 4 new members in our pack tonight ! so you know what to do know, clear a bit of forest and stay outside for now, do not let any goblins walk out alive and I don't want any interference from any of you in tonight's hunt."
After saying this, you could hear "AWOOOOOOOH" really loudly in the forest for around 5 minutes until nothing more could be heard.
"Master, do you wish for me to do anything ?" A small but powerful voice could be heard next to Alex, Alex turned to his right and looked at his summon, which was a Bloody Queen, she was around 1.70m and was wearing a dress in black and red. Her face was beautiful, with red eyes, black hair, a small crooked nose, and charming red lips.
"No need princess, just release your magical energy to scare off the goblins later on." Alex said with a smile at which she nodded and waited for her master to start of the hunt.
"Alright ! It's about time we start the hunt !" Alex exclaimed as he took the goblins eggs outside of his ring and threw them 5 meters in front of him.
