Sky opened his eyes to find himself in a dark space. His eyes drifted over the space as he tried to remember the last events that occurred to him.
The last thing that Sky remembered was that Sam had pierced his heart from behind.
Sky sighed! This was not his first time being pierced through his heart, so this matter did not affect him much. But, this was his first time entering the Dark Space when his heart was pierced.
As Sky was in a deep thought, a figure that looked exactly like him appeared in front of him.
"Ahh!" Sky jumped back when he suddenly noticed someone else in this dark space. He then raised his head and looked at this figure.
"Ahh!" He jumped back once more. Why the heck am I seeing myself? He thought.
"Hmm! Seems like I Reincarnated." The other person who looked the same as Sky started to speak.
"Reincarnated?" Sky looked at this person who looked identical to him with doubt? What does he mean by Reincarnated? Sky thought.
"Well, it's too much to handle for you right now, so I will just explain this in simple terms. Don't ask me questions about my past as I don't remember much of it. Okay! Brace yourself! I .. I .. I am you!" The other figure said with a serious expression.
"Oh!" Sky's expression was calm. "So, you mean to say that you are my other personality and I am having a debate with my other personality right now?" Sky's face was sincere as he asked.
"No! Not at all." The other figure immediately denied. "What I want to say is that, I and you are both the same souls." He tried to explain to Sky.
"Oh! Don't split personalities have the same soul too?" Sky was confused. Do split personalities have different souls.
"Fuck! That's not what I mean. Well, it's better to show you than explaining it." The other figure got up and snapped his fingers.
In the time it took the other figure to snap his fingers, the surrounding black space disappeared and a huge white and blue world appeared in Sky's eyes.
"Wha... what is that?" Sky eyes widened in surprise as he exclaimed. His surroundings were all covered in snow and before him stood a mountain that had it's peak in the sky.
"This.. this is my private mountain. It was called the Desolate peak before due to no one being able to reach the peak. But I changed it to Sky peak when I reached the top." The other figure's words contained some pride. Scaling this mountain was no easy job.
"Wha... you climbed the peak of this mountain? How tall is it?" Sky just could not fathom such thing. To climb a mountain that had it's peak in the Sky, what kind of power was required to do this.
"Hmm! It was around twenty five thousand kilometres when I first scaled it. But it grows taller by a kilometre with each passing year. So I guess it would have already reached fifty thousand kilometres height in this generation." The other figure was patient as he answered all of Sky's questions.
Sky finally understood what the other figure was trying to say. The other figure was saying that he was an existence from the previous generation.
"So you are my previous life's soul." Sky probed for answers.
"You are both correct and wrong. I am you from the previous generation, but I am also you in this generation. I mean to say that we are the same souls."
"It's just that I remember a bit of our past, while you remember the present." The other figure slowly explained.
"But how can we both be the same soul? We both exist at the same time as two different beings. Why do you claim that we both are the same." Sky was still not convinced. After all how can a single soul exist as two.
"Ahh! This is something that you won't understand even if I explain. You don't have the maturity or the information that will let you accept my reason right now. But there is nothing to worry, once my soul recovers from the damage, I will assimilate into you, so that you can understand it." The other figure was helpless. Sky was too immature to understand this right now.
He had seen through Sky's memories and found out that this planet was too immature. It did not even understand the path of cultivation and took up the path of elements instead.
To make Sky really understand, he must bring Sky to the outer planets where there was ample amount of mana and people who cultivate.
Hearing that he was still immature to understand it, Sky did not push for explanations anymore.
Sky had a strong feeling that what the other figure said was absolutely correct, but he just could not comprehend it now. Anyway, Sky could feel that this other figure did not have any intentions to harm him, so there was nothing to fear.
"What should I do now?" Sky asked the other figure who was in a deep thought.
The other figure looked up. "I need to heal my soul and retrieve the memories that I have lost. When I finish healing my soul completely, I will assimilate into you. You will know what to do after that." The other figure once again snapped his finger.
Suddenly the Sky peak disappeared and Sky was back into the dark space. But the other soul was nowhere to be seen.
"Seems like he had already started recuperating." Sky sighed and closed his eyes.
......
Sky opened his eyes only to close them again due to a blinding light on his head. He covered his eyes with his hand as he looked around his surroundings. He had been killed in the backyard of the Dormitory, but he was in a different space now.
As he tried to observe his surroundings, Sky felt a body on his chest. He looked up only to see Rize sleeping peacefully on him.
He stroked her hair and laid down once more. He did not want to disturb Rize's sleep.
'Seems like she had brought me back to our room.' Rize knew about Sky's immortality. Sky's body was immortal. No matter how huge the damage was, Sky's body would always restore his body to it's peak within a minute.
Sky had been confused about this when he was small. At first he thought everyone was like him, and every body would heal as fast as him, but he came to know it was not the case.
When he asked his mother about his immortality, his mother had smiled and replied. "Why do you heal so fast? Isn't it because you are my son."
Sky did not comprehend these words and just took it at face value. He was a kid at that time after all. Why was he immortal? Because he was her son. That's it, no complicated reasons.
Rize was his girlfriend so she obviously knew about his immortality. This was the reason that she did not interfere when Sam and his group took him behind the dormitory.
Rize stayed like that for a full day. Sky kept staring at her face, not disturbing her for the whole day. He was just mesmerised at her beauty.
Finally he hit her lightly on the head. "Don't pretend to be asleep. I know you are awake."
"He hee!" Rize smiled as she got up. "When did you notice?" She asked as she snuggled into his arms once more.
"A day before." Sky answered.
"He hee! So you knew all along that I was awake but did not bother to complain! What a cute boyfriend I have." She pinched his nose and laughed.
"Enough of this! We have already skipped a day of classes. They must have already assigned us in groups." Sky did not push her away directly. If Rize really did not want to get up, he would comply and lie down along with her.
"Ahh!" As Sky's hand went to her small waist, Rize suddenly screamed as if remembering something and dashed out of his arms. "We must attend the classes."
Sky smiled at her reaction. She was usually unrestrained but when it came to him touching her sensitive parts, she always found excuses to escape from him.
This was one of his trump cards against her unrestrained behaviour.
They got ready and went to the new student's section. There, they learnt their 'Group Number' and which instructor was assigned to them.
Rize looked at her group number and her instructor and snorted. She was placed in group one, which only had about twenty students. Their instructor was a level twelve Fire Mage. He was the best instructor for the new students. But Rize did not care, She followed behind Sky to his group.
There were a total of a thousand groups and these groups were ranked according to the quality of the instructors.
The best instructor was given the best group which contained the best talents from all over the country.
The worst instructor was given the last group which contained the worst talents.
Since Sky was a grade zero talent, he was obviously put in the last group which had about hundred people, which was five times higher than the first group.
When they entered the class assigned to them, Sky frowned. The class had already started and their instructor was explaining the history of elemental magic.
He stood outside waiting to gain permission to enter. The instructor looked at him for a second before he turned back and continued without telling Sky to enter.
Rize had already anticipated such situation, so she just leaned on Sky's shoulder and closed her eyes.
A whole two hours passed and it was finally time for the lunch break. The instructor took his fire wand and left without a single look at Sky, who was still standing outside.
Sky could only smile and shake his head. This instructor was a level nine fire mage. He was the only Level Nine Fire mage instructor. All other instructors were at lest Level Ten Fire Mages.
Even though he was just a Level Nine Fire Mage, he was nothing to scoff at. The students were still level zero. It would take them a whole ten years to reach level Nine. So the instructor had the rights to be strict with them.
"Are you Sky?" As Sky was shaking his head about the Instructor's behavior, he heard a male voice from inside the class.
Sky looked up to find a handsome male looking at him with a smile. But this male's eyes were constantly drifting towards Rize who was leaning on Sky.
Seeing this male, Sky shook his head once more. Why is this world filled with idiots? Sky could not help but think.
"Ah! I forgot to introduce myself. I am Feros, the group representative." Even though he was introducing himself to Sky, it sounded more like, he was boasting that he was the group leader to Rize.
"May I know who this beauty is? If you are in the same group, I, the group leader can help you more than anyone." Feros looked at Rize and said in a polite tone, but his words were vicious. He was implying that he was better than Sky by his words.
Sky did not mind a dog barking at him. So he just moved inside the class, not answering Feros.
Rize was even more direct, she took out a needle from her sleeve and poked Feros in his eyes. With her speed she was easily able to put the whole needle in his eye before he could even feel pain.
"Ahhh!" Feros, who had been smiling at Rize until now screamed in horror. "Yo..you..you, how can you be so savage." He caught his destroyed eye as he spoke.
"Savage?" Rize looked towards Sky. "Am I savage?" She asked as she aimed her needle at Feros's other eye.
With one clean push from her hand, the needle once again entered Féria's eye ball and destroyed it. Just like that, Feros was blind.
"Am I savage?" She threw the needle away and asked Sky with a smile.
Sky smiled bitterly. He placed a low grade fire stone beside Feros, who was screaming in unbearable pain of losing his two eyes. This low grade Fire Stone would be able to let Feros grow his eyeballs once more, if he took it to a hospital.
"How can my baby be savage?" Sky put on a fake smile as he answered her.
"Yeah! How can a beauty like me be savage! All my actions are elegant and profound." Rize smiled as she took Sky's hand and walked inside the class, ignoring the screaming Feros. She was totally happy with Sky's reply.
The other students of this group looked at Sky and Rize with horror. Feros was the strongest among them, and this was the reason that he was selected as their representative. But these two just blinded him in one shot, and they don't even know why Rize had blinded him.
"Why... why have you blinded him? Did he do something that deserve you to blind him?" Not everyone remained silent even though they were scared. A young girl stood up and questioned Rize. Her body was shaking the whole time she was questioning, but she still managed to finish the sentence.
Seeing someone get up and question Rize even after what she had done, Sky was surprised. But when he looked at the young girl once more, he understood her actions.
This young girl was looking at the Feros with sadness as she saw him in pain. Seems like she liked Feros. Ah! Love does make one blind after all. Sky shook his head.
Rize did not even look at this girl. She just took Sky's arms and walked to an empty space. Sky first sat on this empty chair, while Rize sat on his lap.
Sky was not embarrassed. He knew humans were greedy and jealous. He had stopped caring about other humans a long time ago.
This was because he had been bullied a lot by the roadside kids. They would extort fire crystals from him. These kids were greedy about his wealth and jealous about his birth, so they would beat him up everyday.
The young girl did not mind that Rize had ignored her. She felt like she had been pardoned when Rize ignored her. Even though she questioned Rize out of her love towards Feros, as time passed, she realized that her eyes were more important to her than Feros's.
She hurriedly moved towards the Feros who was still screaming and rolling on the ground in pain. She lifted him and carried him away.
.....
Lunch break had finished and it was time for classes once more.
The instructor came into the class once again, but he had a fierce expression on his face now. "Who the hell is Sky? Crawl over to my feet." He yelled as soon as he entered the class.
Sky had his arms around Rize when he heard the Instructor shouting at him. He helplessly sighed. 'Ah! Why does trouble come my way even if I don't do anything.'
He wanted to get up and go towards the instructor. He would just give the Instructor a low grade Fire stone and settle it. But Rize did not get up from his lap and he did not want to inconvenience her.
"Instructor! Why don't you come here instead." Sky was helpless as he shouted. If he can't go to the instructor, then he would have to ask the instructor to come to him.
The instructor looked at Sky and then at Rize. His face was red in anger as he screamed. "Good.. very Good. Attacking your group mates and even disrespecting your instructor, see if I will teach you a lesson." He took his wand and waved it.
As the instructor waved the wand, a ball of fire condensed at the end of the wand and rushed towards Sky. This was one of the most basic attack for fire mages. Any fire mage of Level One or above can perform this fire attack easily.
Sky was just a normal human, a grade zero talent. If this ball of fire hits him, he would surely die. The instructor obviously knew that Sky was a grade zero talent, after all, how can your instructor not know who was in his own group.
But he still attacked Sky. This meant that the instructor was planning to kill Sky. Sky could not understand, just when had he offended this baldy instructor.
Rize squinted her eyes at the attack. Even she, a grade five talent, could not block this fireball at level zero, yet, this bitch of an instructor was attacking her Sky with it.
Just as the fireball reached them. Sky's eyes turned white as an immense pressure pushed everyone to the ground.
"Hump! You want to kill this immortal. Even in your dreams it isn't possible." Sky voice was a little hoarse, but when Rize heard this voice her body shook violently. She hurriedly caught Sky and looked at his face.
"Little Third! I am still alive, just believe in me." Sky smiled at Rize, then his gaze turned towards the puny fireball that stopped in air.
"Hump! Is this small thing called a fireball. Let me show you what a real fire ball is." Sky scoffed and looked at the fire ball.
This small fire ball suddenly increased in size, by the time the instructor can even manage to comprehend this situation, the fire ball had already blasted out of the roof of the class, but it was still expanding.
A whole minute passed as the whole classroom was scorching hot. A huge fire ball that had about a kilometer diameter was on top of the class right now.
Sky, who had been taken over by his other soul looked at the instructor who was literally crying now. "This.. this is a 'real' Fire Ball. Do you understand?" He asked.
The instructor immediately got on his knees and banged his head to the floor. "Forgive me senior! I had eyes but was blind. Forgive me." He repeatedly banged his head to the floor as he cried out.
Suddenly, Sky's eyes turned clear and he was once more in control of his body. The huge fireball on top of the class suddenly blasted outside.
Everyone in the class were blasted away from the huge impact. Only Sky, Rize and the Instructor who was kneeling on the floor were still in their positions.
Sky's eyes were muddled as he asked Rize. "What happened?"
Rize hugged him hard. "Nothing. Nothing my love, just a small explosion." She answered her eyes were wet. She had heard her lover's voice after a long time, obviously she was emotional now.
She also understood Sky's situation. It seemed that Sky was remembering the past, but it was only at some random moments and it would still take sometime for him to remember everything.
Just knowing that Sky would remember her with enough time was enough for her to get emotional. She had waited a generation for his love once again. Would she not wait for another decade.
She kissed his cheek and got up. She walked up and clapped her hands. "Attention everyone." She said.
The students were scattered and blown away by the explosion of the fire ball, but as soon as Rize spoke, Everyone's eyes in the class were immediately drawn towards her. Rize's eyes glowed golden as she ordered. "Forget everything that you saw in the past hour." She said.
Everybody nodded their heads. Just like that they had forgotten everything that had occurred in the past hour.
