Chapter 68: Has He Lost His Memory!
Ira didn't know what she should do. Whether she should got up from the bed or just stay as it is?
He is awake and now she lost her sleep. He didn't seem to be in a bad mood or he would have already kicked her from the bed. So she decided to put up with it.
Her thoughts suddenly interrupted when she heard "I am hungry. I haven't eaten anything from morning."
She remained silent trying to understand what he said. His voice was not cold as usual and it was spoken softly. May be she got habitual with his cold and stern voice that she understood easily when he spoke in that way only!
She quickly got up from bed and combed her hairs with her fingers. Then she replied "I will go and prepare something light for you."
Samer too sat up on bed and shook his head while replying "I have already asked the cook to bring over the food for both of us."
So does he want me to stay here? Ira's eyes lit up with the thought. She sat on the chair silently.
When the food was brought over, Ira unpacked everything and put them in front of him. Samer moved his right hand but he hissed in pain while moving it.
Ira understood it and without speaking she picked the spoon, blowed it and brought some soup towards his mouth. Samer hesitated for a while but then drank it.
His eyes never left her while her head was lowered not daring to look at him. His lips turned upwards into a small and unnoticeable smile comparing her with the little scared rabbit.
He knows that she is just afraid of him. And why she shouldn't be? Everyone has seen his rough and merciless behaviour with her. Though he has another thing for her in his heart but he has always shown her his bad side.
But now one thing is always coming inside his mind. Now that he knows that she is not an ordinary girl like before, why she just put up with him? Why she never retorted and went against with him? If she wanted she could also harm him just like she did to Tina.
He wanted to know everything. Why she got involved in such works? He wanted to know behind Ira and Tina's involvement in the murder that Jumbo talked about.
If Ira tried to harm Tina then I should not forget that Tina had also once fired a bullet on her trying to kill her.
His train of thoughts stopped when a knock came on the door.
The doctor entered checked on his pulse and said "If you want you can get a discharge. Just take care to not skip your food now."
Samer nodded while Ira's brows creased in confusion.
When doctor left she asked him with daring "Why are you not eating properly?"
Samer didn't answer but went into the bathroom to get changed.
After a minute passed, Ira heard his cries and finally "Come here."
Ira chuckled lightly. She knew that his arm was swelled up. He couldn't even ate properly. How could he change into his clothes!
When she removed his hospital clothes, she can see his muscle built body up close. Her face blush with crimson red. She didn't understand why she was having certain thoughts that weren't decent. To hide her emotions she lowered her head and changed his clothes.
After it was done, he didn't forget to message Mayank to tell him about his discharge.
Ira was just going to ask for her leave when she heard "Let's go."
Ira was stunned for a moment. When she came back to her senses she asked "Where?"
Samer strode forward without replying. Ira followed him.
It was the night time. The dark clouds were over them. There was a silent but sweet melody playing inside the car.
Ira was lost in her thoughts which were disturbed by the sudden break of the car. When she look around, she found herself in front of the small kulfi(1) shop on the street which she somehow found very familiar.
Samer got out from the car and so she did. He went near the kulfi owner to place an order.
"Ahh son Samer.. Can't believe it's you!! I never thought that I will see you again." the owner replied with his surprised voice.
The owner looked at Ira and then again said beamingly "Looks like you are finally with your love."
Ira also saw owner who was beaming with happiness. She thought that she had seen that joyful man before.
Ira saw Samer smiling brightly. Though she couldn't hear what the owner said to him due to their distance but she can tell that may be the most sincere smile she had seen on his face these days.
Ira looked at him with confusion. He got into an accident and he surely hurted his head. Has he lost his memory or what!
"Here." Samer handed her one kulfi.
He started walking while tasting the creamy cardamom favour. Ira catched his pace and started walking by his side.
If anyone looked at both of them, they will think of them as a beautiful painting. But only they know how much complications are there in their relation.
Ira's mind suddenly turned back in time as she thought that this series of events had already happened with her. She turned back to look at the stall. She finally remembered it. Samer had once taken her to the long drive and after having dinner he took her to the same kulfi shop. Then they started walking in the same way as they are walking now. That time he didn't talk to her much and so also she didn't initiate the conversation.
At first she thought that Samer was upset of her. But to her that didn't make any sense. Afterall she was only his friend and no one. Even if by mistake she did something, he couldn't just get upset over her. For the guy like him there are even more big matters that needed his attentition than nobody like her.
She could sense his insecurity and wanted to ask if everything's fine between him and Tina. But then she dropped the idea as she didn't want to bring her in between them. Though she felt selfish at that time but she found it was worth what happened next. She was walking thinking about the bad mood of Samer when suddenly her palm was held tightly. And in the next second she was in his tight embrace.
