Hinata's POV
All throughout the day hinata had been in the medical wing assisting patience in order for tomorrow's confrontation, it had only been a week since the war… one week since Neji had died and now there was someone else threatening the safety of her village, her friends. 'When is this all going to end'
Dragging her tired body through the clans courtyard she had just reached her room but before she could enter and let her mattress take her into the land of dreams she had caught sight of her father and sister talking in corner right outside the training hall. Moving towards them Hinata wanted to tell them goodnight but had stopped when she was close enough to hear what they were saying.
"Hanabi, I want you to stay close to your sister tomorrow she has been off lately since your cousin died… I often see her spacing out throughout the day looking towards the east and sighing. Has she said anything to you?" Hiashi had been worried that her mental state was compromised and it would affect her abilities tomorrow, he couldn't afford to lose anyone else.
Hanabi couldn't help but to think back to how her sister acting over the past week and something did seem different about her, the vibe she got from her sister was one of melancholies as if she was missing someone. "Onee-sama has been kinda off lately. Don't worry father I will make sure nothing happens to Nee-Sama tomorrow."
Nodding his head you could see the pride in his eyes as he looked at his youngest daughter. "Good, tomorrow you and your sister are to report to the West Gate for surveillance and I will be on the East."
This had brought both Himawari and the eaves dropping Hinata to both frown in confusion, 'West gate? But the intelligence officer said it was coming from the Kiri…"
Coming to the same conclusion as Hinata, Hanabi was about to refute but was harsly cut off.
"That is a direct order from the clan leader. I know what you must be thinking and you are right, I don't want either of you two participating in tomorrow's fight. Should we be attacked from the East; Me and the other clan heads along with a few jounin will intervene. If its from the north Teams 1-6 shall attempt to hold the line while reinforcements come, the south shall be protected by teams 7-13. The West gate is the back lines and where the medic officers shall be your jobs are to guard them and make sure no one sneaks through the west."
Hinata could no longer bear to hear anymore and ran to her room without being noticed. Her own father had given her a 'bodyguard' and was being kept away from any possibility of fighting, to others it would look to be a father protecting his daughters but to her. A trained shinobi, it was nothing more than an insult…
Her father was correct on one thing though, she had been acting different ever since the war she kept having the same dream, a dream about the one that had saved her life in exchange for his own. 'He died, why cant I get him out of my head? But… "strange pupils.. Brown hair.. And a scar above his eyebrow.. Could he really have lived?'
