Chapter 9: Kery’s
The desk shattered apart revealing a girl kneeling before the manager. The atmosphere turned very awkward.
"Hello! Hello!" John, the CEO was stilling screaming on the other side of the phone. I hung up.
I stared at the girl. Lois stared at me. Or knowing how to react. I started walking towards him. The chair under him cracked causing him to fall on the floor.
A funny thought went through my head 'Is he setting himself now?'
Lois craw walked away from me on all fours, leaving the girl with a *Pop*. He jammed himself into the corner and begged.
"Please spare me. Please spare me. I'll give you the girl, I'll give you all my money. Want my car? Take it. Want my house? Take that too. Want my wife! Take her too! Just leave me alone." It seemed that he was having a mental breakdown. His voice was shaky and he was pressing against the wall, wanting to disappear.
'How weak' I thought. I wasn't even using my aura. Lois was just scared by my display of physical strength. Both his bouncers outside where slamming the barrier outside. Lois had spent millions hiring them. They were level 80's! The fact that they couldn't get in and that he had never seen them display any power near as great as my one casual stomp in all the years they had worked together made up him realize I was a expert. Not only that! I was skilled in both physical and magical aspects. Knowing his life was in danger by the hateful look I had shown when I walked in the door, he started begging for his life with everything he had.
However, I wasn't interested in him at the moment. I stared at the blonde girl. She had collapsed on the floor. My senses told me that the amount of oxygen in her lungs wasn't not the amount she needed, causing her body to shut down. She had slim legs, and wasn't taller then 4'5". Her face was familiar. 'But where have I seen her before?'
I decided to use my powers for the first time today. I made oxygen and other body functions resume to normal levels. She was immediately woken up by the chilling water (pouring out of the pipes) directly touching her smooth skin.
*Gasp* she looked around "Where am I?" The surroundings where shattered beyond recognition and if it wasn't for the man in the corner (and the table) she wouldn't be able to connect her surroundings with the office she was just in. Waking up from her original stupor, she got up (did she seem skinnier?) and asked me
"Who are you?"
'Ahhh' I thought. Finally satisfied by figuring out her identity. It was the girl who owned that aggressive bodyguard (Jamie). 'What was her name again? Elis?'
I didn't really hate her but I did have a dislike for her bodyguard for attacking me.
It was clear she didn't recognize me.
"I'm Yamake". Of course I wasn't going to introduce myself by calling myself the naked man from the mountains. I had realized how much of a savage that made me sound like.
"What do you intend to do with me? Are you going to rape me like this man" she said pointing at Lois with a look of contempt.
'Hmm.. should I? She doesn't look bad.'
"Nah" I said "I don't like used goods."
She looked angry and grateful at the same time? Was that even possible? 'I learned something new today.'
"Then can you bring me back to my family...SIR." She hesitantly said the last word like it was a curse.
"My family will generously reward you."
"What could you possibly give me?" I scoffed.
"Money?"
"I already have as much as I want"
"Woman? Besides me of course."
"I can easily get those myself."
'With my money and strength they would flock to me. You would also come if you knew my strength and the amount of zeros I could have in my bank account.'
"Then what do you want?!"
"I want to visit the interior of your family's castle."
"Why?!"
"To see how the prominent and rich live and behave." According to Jamie, Elis' father was very paranoid, so no one, including him, was allowed inside the castle. The cleaning, cooking, protection, etc. were all done by magic items. Of course it was expensive to maintain it all, but with their wealth and Elis' fathers insistence, only members of the family were allowed into the castle.
"Are you treating us as animals in a zoo!" She looked like she wanted to bite me, but I guess the thought of her safe return to her family was more important. But gods her struggling face was tempting.
"I'm curious, what made you think I can save you?" I asked slightly confused. I hated this feeling.
She pointed down at my feet. "Well, it's obvious that you caused this destruction from the hole in the floor perfectly the size of you shoe and how the ground under you is the most heavily damaged, with all the cracks stemming from it."
'Wow, she's right. Wow do I feel stupid.'
"Let's go, Elis" I walked towards the door.
"Wait! Take me with you!" The trembling man in the corner called out.
"Please don't. He is a vile man who has committed more crimes than I can count. Whatever it takes, leave him here to suffer the fitting death by crushing."
Ignoring her I asked Lois "what do you have to offer me?"
"Uhh..." Lois had heard the previous conversation between me and Elis so he didn't know what to offer me. He knew his place wasn't nearly as grand as Elis'.
I turned to Elis "Then what do you have to offer me to kill him."
The looks on their faces said "How shameless!"
But I didn't care, I was determined to get something else out of this whole situation.
"Nothing. But I may have something soon." Elis replied truthfully. At least that's how it seemed.
Curious about what she had to offer, I decided to side with her. For now. I knocked Lois out your taking some oxygen out of his body, and created a stasis bubble to trap him with. It would take care of all his bodily needs, and keep him alive. (Oh well, that was my last power use today.) The only question was where to store him.
'Oh!' I remembered that spacial ring that Lucifer had, I created one on my hand and stored him in there. Now usually, living things could not be stored in these rings. But I simply defied the ring and shoved him inside.
Elis looked at me curious how I did it, but she decided it was better not to ask, just in case it touched upon my dark secrets (it's not like i didn't have any, though I didn't consider this one of them).
I miniaturized the barrier to just the area around us two. The saleswoman and the 2 guards immediately burst in the room. Not wanting to leave witnesses and create trouble for myself, I miniaturized my barrier to encompass just Elis and stomped. (I didn't count using physical strength as a power use because sure my body was created by divine power, but I didn't need to use divine power to move it.) The ground shook as if it was a earthquake (the power was the same as one) the store collapsed killing all inside besides me and Elis. We waited a minute and grabbed some clothes on the ground for us (Elis chose a set for me) before stealthy entering the mob running away. I was sure that there were no traces because Elis told me Lois had turned off al the surveillance disks in the store in the morning because he had some weird fetish about having sex all over the store (?) and had never remembered to turn on the surveillance disks. As for the people? All dead now.
"My guards were all killed when I was kidnapped, so can you escort me home sir?" Now that she had seen my power firsthand, she was very respectful.
"Not yet we have to other places first I said, and walked towards Kery's.
'They should be open by now'
