Chapter 3: Wishes
God offers me 5 wishes. Now that got me thinking deeply. What do I want really? In my entire life I used to be grateful toward anything I have, I achieved, and I did. I am not that ambitious person which have desire to conquer the world, eradicate evils from the world, or save the world. Conquering something is achievable, but maintenance after conquest is troublesome. Eradicating evils is also not possible because it is entirely not achievable. Because evils is need to be there so that goods can flourish. Wherever you are, even in the very peaceful place someone could be an arse there. Saving the world? Meh, even saving myself from poor situations I can't do that. So, what do I really want to do?
"God, is choosing the world where i am going required a wish?" I ask.
"No, today I just feeling generous." he replied. He is grinning actually. Please, God. Don't be so ominous.
But that's good, that mean I get 1 bonus wish according numerous fanfic references.
Firstly, of course it should be a system. That would be very helpful. But what kind of system. I think normal system would be enough, but it should be customizable. It includes a loyal AI support which doesn't have personality. I don't need it to be annoying, I am not that lonely person. It includes HUD and mini map which have customizable size and markers. It includes store where I can buy skills, items, books, bloodlines, or whatever I need with real money. No need merit or achievement system currency. It also includes inventory, unlimited inventory literally.
Now that for first, the second one would be that Library of Heaven's Path. That novels really one of a kind, sadly I can't read it anymore. I hope the system store can include the continuation of it later. Yep, the second wish would be that Library. With that ability I could store a lot of knowledge. But what I needed is the Library abilities which have upgraded till I can store books just by glance and produce some golden slips where I can compile flawless books of knowledge the more I store books inside the library. There is no need sealing person in heavenly book. Just destroy that person. That would be awesome.
Third, I want... should I be a pureblood noble or just an orphan. Again. If I would be a pureblood, the resources to fill up the Library would be abundant. I could get an inheritance and some pocket money without worries. But which family? That would be troublesome to lie or go out of house if I have family. I am not a professional liar. If I am become an orphan in non magical orphanage I would have a lot of free space to move. But the prospect of being kids again seems bad and annoying. God, I don't want hit puberty phase again. Alright, just orphan again then. Money I could get them through by borrow or just take them off from some scum. Books, I just need to look at books and be done with it. It is pretty much all of it.
"God, can I have these three wishes first? the rest can wait till I got to the Harry potter world?" I ask and tell all the wish I can think up.
"Good, those seems doable. Actually the 1st cost 2 wish and 2nd cost 2 wish. Those two are pretty powerful wishes. And if your wish is too high or too difficult when you got to your world destination those wish got restricted by that world I send you to. Even though I made your wishes real, I had to make sure I don't make an errors to that world balance or you could get the backlash many folds. And that's worrisome. For example, you wish you got power of Kaguya Otsusuki with complete bloodline, those would be cost 7-8 wishes IF you to be sent to the normal earth. Do you understand?" he explained.
Now, that would be very troublesome. If I wish to become a Saiyan just then, to the normal world, it is going to be a waste of energy, my power would've restricted, and I got monkey tail, that is suck.
"I understand, what about my third wish?" I asked.
"That would be in the world travel package. You got to choose where you will be reincarnated, when you will be reincarnated, and who and how you will be. So you still have 1 wishes." he said.
"How about, I would love to have large magical reserves, with super magical regeneration which replenish my magical core very fast."
"That's acceptable. So, how would you like to go?" he asked.
"It would be I got reincarnated to a male child which quite handsome if I grown up. But the memories of my past life till here is locked till I am 7 years old, so that no one would suspicious of me or deems me a genius later. I can't act like a baby and I don't have any references to it. Just imagine how creepy the situation is if the baby just look at your tits with lust, not hunger (and I don't want to wear a diaper again). Oh, I want to be 4 years older than Harry Potter, please. And also, The Orphanage I lived in should be well funded and well organized, I don't really like the idea of starving."
"Alright, I can do that for you. You are very picky person, eh."
"It's not like that, God. I just don't want my wishes sound too vague to you. So that's that."
"That's good, then. Just sit there and wait a moment" *flick *flick *flick
He just flicks his fingers three times to grant my wishes, what a show off god.
"Now, that's done. Farewell, John Carter. Have a safe journey, and good luck." he said as he smiles to me. I kind of remember that smile, but where have i seen it though.
"Thank you, God. For everything" *flick He flicks his fingers once again and everything is a blur. I got sucked into a wormhole and I am speeding up to the void.
This kinda travel is very uncomfortable. Is this what ants feel when human use vacuum cleaner on them, get sucked into the void is experience that I wish no need to repeat. My blob of body hurts everywhere. Sigh~~. I hope there is no complications on this journey. My journey to the new life.
