Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Techniques, and Alchemy
Two months had passed since the events of Captain Marvel and Law couldn't be happier with his current life. Law could be seen in his living room just watching TV relaxing because the last two months of his had been hectic but productive.
After they had come home, it had taken Law a week to deal with his demons, through soul searching and reviewing all his memories. It numbed him to killing and forced him to understand its necessity. After all death and life are two sides of the same coin, both necessary for the circle of life.
After he had settled his mind, Law spent the next two months with his mother taking full advantage of his personal dimensions time dilation.
Law initially tried to teach Lissandra his cultivation techniques, but she failed in understanding them due to its difficulty. So instead, Law compiled two different cultivation techniques suited her, and also created a soul-strengthening technique that was specialized for her.
[Heavenly Light Soul Strengthening Technique
A Soul Strengthening Technique extremely beneficial for those that have pure souls. It will strengthen the soul while also maintaining its purity. It will allow the user to eliminate inner demons and purifies the body with extreme efficiency. As the user soul strengthen increases, they gain an eidetic memory and memory partitions that increase with the user's soul power.

A fiend god strengthening technique that emphasizes defense and speed. It strengthens the body to the level of a world god if practiced to the highest level. At the peak, this technique has the capabilities to withstand the destruction of a chaosworld easily. This technique is attuned to the Heavenly Daos of Lightning, Yang, and Creation

[Heaven's Might
A ki-refiner technique that allows the user insights into the Heavenly Daos of Creation, Lightning, and Yang. This technique is at the Chaos Immortal level and at the peak gives the user the power of 10 Chaos Immortals.

He had used his soul sight so that he could directly see the elements that Lissandra's soul and personality were the most aligned so that she would have the easiest time cultivating. Lissandra cultivated consistently but only managed to breach the mid-houtian tier, which was faster than Law by a long shot. Teaching her and creating her techniques took Law a good two weeks in real-world time.
After that, he decided to start his combat training but was met with a hurdle in the very beginning. He had to do was decide his fighting style, and whether or not he would use a weapon. This was an essential decision for his future and could affect his cultivation path down the line. Choosing just one combat style would allow him to master it quickly but would limit his arsenal. While choosing to compile a technique which would allow him to wield any weapon or use any fighting technique would make him extremely diverse but would become extremely difficult to advance in.
After a few days of mulling over his options, he chose to ignore deciding his path for now and instead just create a technique that would help him for now.
He chose two forms of combat. The first was spear techniques, because Lancer, and because it would cover both mid and close-range combat. The second was combat techniques using guns, the most widely accessible weapon in the modern age. This would cover long range combat, and because of his favorite red trench coat wearing half-demon made them seem awesome. Would others consider him childish for choosing weapons based on the fighting styles of fictional characters? Probably.
There was a total of 285,659 techniques and fighting styles for both of these weapons. He could leave unarmed combat aside for now because with a personal dimension acting as his version of a gamer's inventory, he didn't have to worry about being caught unarmed.
[Infinite Spear Art
A spear technique that can be perfectly described by the words 'never-ending strikes. It is a flawless technique that conserves stamina by continuously redirecting hits received and using the momentum of the fight to continually barrage the user's opponents with attacks until victory. Allows the user to comprehend the Grand Dao of the spear.

[One Shot, One Kill
A gun technique that utilizes a single gun to cause the most damage and destroy the enemy after just one bullet. This technique emphasizes deadliness but shoots powerful shots at the weakest points in the opponent's body so that the most damage is caused leading to death. Allows user to comprehend the Grand Dao of Firearms.

Just creating these techniques took a week of Law's time, but it was worth it because he had managed to breach the advanced level in both forms of combat/Daos. But this wasn't the only training he did for himself.
Law also managed to read all the alchemy books that he had available in his Library. Even though he would not have access to the primal flames that most alchemists used until his cultivation advanced, Law could still use his grey flames which were similar in strength.
He used around 3 weeks' worth of real-world time to compile a technique that would allow him to make pills efficiently without any excess waste.
[Perfect Alchemy Technique
Allows the user to perfectly control their flames and ingredients to make pills with the highest amount of purity and with no waste left over. Gives the user insight into the Grand Dao of Poison, Medicine, and Alchemy.

This technique was useful for both earning favors from people (Author's note: He will not be selling pills at least in the beginning) and as insurance so that he could protect his loved ones. When you get right down to it; who wouldn't want a technique that would all you to create miracle pills that fix most problems.
After a grueling 2 months of training in time dilation Law decided to take a break and catch up on the tv show Friends, he had already watched it in his past life, but this was a different experience.
'Thank Truth, the Marvel world actually has decent tv shows' Law thought while watching Joey's antics.
"Law we need to leave for Manhattan now. There's been an accident." Liz yelled while rushing into the living room while still holding the phone causing Law to freeze.
