"For the record, I couldn't give a fuck about you, the country, this city, or the war. I just love death; that might sound strange, I get it, but, I really do love it. The smell of copper. The distorted sound of screams as the bombs fall and the bullets fly through windows, walls, and bodies. God, I just fucking love it, ya know?" The words of a man with his gun pointed to my face. He shouldn't be my enemy. We are on the same side. I can't believe this. I can't understand this. I smell the blood from his torn flesh. He looks half alive. He's a Colonel for God's sake. Why is this happening? Why is Colonel Sarcosa standing, gun pointed, in front of me, acting crazy? "Should I let you pray Lt.Mika?"
"Who should I pray to?" Mika replied sweat on her brow. "I couldn't tell you even if I wanted to. Thank you, for being entertaining I mean. I really almost fucking died there. I really did. You...you are something fucking else man. Ya know for a bitch you punch pretty good, right? Well you won't really be punching much anymore." Sarcosa, condescendingly stated. *Bang*. The limp body fell to the floor. The blood pooled around. *Laughter ensuded*. The cost of war.
This isn't the story of men. This isn't the story of war. This isn't the story of something meaningful. Nothing worth writing. Nothing worth reading.
