Chapter 2: Master of disguise
The ten colors were precisely the colors of the seven Dragon elements and the three Human elements.
Red for Fire, Blue for Water, Turquoise for Ice, Brown for Earth, Gray for Wind, Green for Wood, Yellow for Lightning, Black for Darkness, White for Light and Silver for Metal
Loken looked at the rock and thought that it resembled an egg. The peculiar thing was that the egg was penetrated by a needle that looks to be of the same Metal that Loken discovered earlier. He did not think much about it as his only worry right now as if he had exceeded his time duration in the mine. So he stored the egg-like rock away and searched for an exit. To his surprise, the needle was connected to the egg and could not be separated so he stored the whole thing. This time he used a ring that was connected to his leather armor and was disguised as a loophole for his vests cords.
Loken was a very skilled blacksmith that thought of many ways to make adjustments to his clothes and working tools so that he could work more efficiently and hide things he wants to keep to himself. So he was able to carry things that normal Humans were not allowed to have like weapons and armor. As he hurried to the exit he soon runs into other miners again and started to recognize the way to the exit so he started to run. "Back so soon," said the overseer. "You have more than four hours left." Taking a deep breath of relieving Loken said: "I was really lucky this time, I discovered a new type of metal, so I have to study it and see if I can use it to forge weapons and armor out of it."
"You found a new metal!!?? Take out your rings for inspections these are the rules after all." The overseer started to look excited as he eyed the rings on Lokens hands. "Here have a look," he said and passed the rings over to the overseer. "Seems like you found quite a lot of it, where exactly did you find it?" Shaking his head from left to right Loken answered." I am sorry but this time, I ventured so deep into the mine that I got lost and found it accidentally" Rising his eyebrows the overseer exclaimed."You found it by accident, your luck is truly one to be envied." He sighed. "Nonetheless I have to charge you 10 Silver for this as the rules state for every kilo of newfound ores 1 Silver" Loken chuckled. "Rules are rules, there is nothing to be done about it." then he passed the money to the overseer. In his disguised rings he was hiding ten to twenty times more of these rare and newfound ores. But to not raise any suspicions he decided to show at least a little of what he discovered so he would not have to come up with an explanation later on.
After leaving the mine he left straight for his workshop. He was in a good mood since he found a new Metal and this peculiar looking multicolored rock. As Loken entered his workshop he made sure no one followed him on his way, he feared that the overseer might have informed the higher-ups and that he was becoming a target of greedy Beastman Although his workshop was not big it had enough place for him to live there. He had his living area in the cellar down below his workshop. After entering the living area he started to wave his hands in a very unusual way and formed signs with his hands. Soon a hidden door opened... that door leads to a room even further down. This room was very spacious and was filled with a lot of weapons, armors, books, and scrolls, jars filled with little stones that were shining in different colors they appeared to be marbles, and there were a lot of Iron and Ores that seem to exist in a lot of variations.
Loken descended from a rich and wealthy family that originated from a clan of assassins that was known as the Silverslayerclan, furtherly known as the Slayers. The Silverslayerclan was a clan that withdraws itself from worldly affairs. They took missions and tasks only if they felt that the cause was justified and would lead to righteousness. They were the bringers of peace and justice that everyone admired and feared. After the Battle of Humans fall and over time the Silverslayerclan declined to near nothingness. Loken was keeping some of the ancient knowledge in his hidden room. He did not know if he was the last and only decedent of his clan but after the suppression of the Dragonclan and Beastman, they spread around the continent to help where they can. On a wall in the back, there was a shining silver armor. The breastplate was very magnificent, there were to daggers engraved that crossed each other. This was the crest of the Silverslayerclan.
The Slayers had a secret technique that allowed them to manipulate Iron and disguise it as something else. The members of the clan all had a strong affinity to the metal element. So they were experts in hiding things and experts in killing without being noticed. They specialized in laying traps and hidden weapons arts. Loken was only an apprentice level user of these techniques because his father died when he was still young and could only teach him the basics. Everything else apart from the basics was self-taught and learned from the ancient books and scrolls in this room. Nonetheless, these techniques could be regarded as long forgotten, which made him the only expert around that knew of these teachings.
Loken was a man that hated the fact that Humans were suppressed by the Beastman, but he was only one man... what could he do about it. He acted as if he was afraid in front of others... everyone that knew of him believed he was a coward who would shrink back the moment you give him an angered stare. But in reality, this was also a disguise to mislead them and distract them from his hidden abilities. On the outside others thought he has it tough, but actually, he was living an easy and normal life. All he does is an act. He is a true master of disguise.
