Chapter 3: Fruits, Straw hat and the green algae
At a dark and damp place, Spade was locked down at floor 3 in Impel Down. Spade was actually supposed to be on floor 2 but he resisted and kill some marine on thier way.
Spade was kneeling on the floor looking down, chain were attached on all parts of his body. He was not alone in the floor, there were a bunch of criminals left and right of him.
Whenever they're given food, Spade's share was taken away from him by the others and they just laugh it off. When one of them was acting suspicious and took out a pair of devil fruits.
Everyone was surprised by his actions, they started to group and plan to escape out. While they were discussing, a marine officer came draging his swords on the floor. they panic and dropped both of the fruits as it rolls to Spade's knee.
Spade thought this was a food and hide it with his body by leaning downwards more to protect it from being stealed by the others. They ran towards Spade and tried to get the fruit back, "woi, what are you doing!" the officer rushes and smack all of them with the swords back blade.
They stopped and ran away, the marine officer looked at Spade and thought he was dead. "hey, are you still alive?" he asked but Spade was shaking and making weird sounds, this angered the officer and he pulled Spade trying to make him stand up.
Spade headbutt the officer and retract back, the officer was mad and stomp at Spade's head and curse at him. When he was finish, he took away all the other prisoners. They resisted but only to get beaten up.
At the evening, Spade woke up feeling hungry and took a large bite at both of the fruits at the same time. The taste was terrible almost making Spade puke so hard but he shouldn't waste them and kept eating.
After a while, Spade's head started to hurt and it escalated quickly kaming him felt like his head being pierced by a hot sword. The drug inside Spade notice his pain and completely nullifying all of them but at the cost of his energy.
Spade fell unconscious, his right eye turned all white which means that eye is now blind. Spade fell unconscious for 3 days and woke with a headache, one of the drug inside Spade was now fully awake. It was the strengthening drug, Spade just kept kneeling waiting for food.
The drug started its work reconstructing his bone and his muscle, the reconstruction was a painfull process. As the work started, it gave a painfull sensation which even Spade couldn't handle. Spade started screaming in pain, His screams echoed throughout the floor.
This went on for a whole 3 month, whenever a part of his muscle is finished constructed. Spade would rest before the painfull sensation started again. Everyone thought he must had gone crazy from staying in too long inside the cell.
In between the construction in 3 months, another 2 drugs was awaken. One was the numb drug and the other one is will drug. Lucky for Spade, both of the drug was helping him.
The drug kept working, showing no sign of stoping. if it wasn't for the numb drug, Spade would had truly gone crazy from the pain. Also from the will drug, Spade got the conquerers Haki with the other 2 Haki. Spade didn't even know of this Haki nor he knew he can use it.
It had been 2 years in impel down, Spade's sentence were pardon and he was finally released. Spade was sent to shells town, when he reached the village. Spade was dropped of by the marine, Spade walked towards the town where he sees a kid with a straw hat and green algae was fighting a bunch of marines.
Spade saw the kid jumped backwards and threw a punch, He thought the kid was dumb when he noticed the straw hats arm grew longer and hit the marines. Spade was shocked to see such bizarre events, the marine that went to drop Spade was already no where in sight and kept watching with interest.
The green algae parried a slash, the sword went flying towards Spade. Spade kicked the sword back and it flew towards one of the marine in battle. It was an accident, Spade didn't know his strength until now. They saw what he did and thought he was one of the straw hats friends.
Spade shook his head sideways vigorously, saying it was an accident but the straw hat looked at him and said "you came right on time!" while smiling from ear to ear.
Spade didn't know why he did that but it seems he can't avoid the problem since they didn't believe him now. The marine all rushed towards Spade and jumped making a head over slash.
Spade reacted by side stepping, they thought he was slashed down but to a disappointment Spade was behind them. In Spade's eye everything went slow, he could even see them blink slowly.
Spade kept sidestepping hence his is now behind them, and punch one of them at the face but all of them had a punch mark on the face and fainted. Straw hat and green algae saw this and was astonished at his strength.
The fight shortly ended after a tough battle between straw hat and green algae against some marine named morgon and helmeppo.
