*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
The loud sound of my alarm wakes me up from my nap, I look over at the clock, 6:00 PM. The room is somehow colder as I dig deeper into my bed trying to warm myself up not wanting to get out. "At times like this I wish I had someone living with me" I mumbled out loud. Despite the cold feeling, I force myself out of bed, groggy and cold, I drag my feet to the kitchen. I look in the empty fridge, closing and opening the door a few times hoping that food would magically appear. 'Maybe I can just sleep it off' I thought to myself, walking back into my room when there's a loud rumble. I look at my stomach and back at the bed, sighing out loud, I grab my hoodie and bag.
Surprisingly, the weather tonight is fairly nice, the light cold breeze brushes against my cheek. The dewy air seems to wake my body and mind from the cold as I take my usual walk to the store. Mr.Chu's store is shining bright in the darkness at the end of the road. I reach the store and walk in, a sense of disappointment came over as I see that there was no one in front, ' I guess it was only that night' I thought to myself thinking of the umbrella dude. "Good evening Mr. Chu!" I try my best to sound perky, looking over to the empty counter. Mhm strange, I curiously look around the store, "Mr. Chu?" , still no one appear from the counter nor were there any response. I walk towards the back of the store with an uneasy feeling, "Mr.Chu? I'm going to warm up some ramen!" I shout walking to the ramen aisle. "I guess he's in the bathroom," I say out loud, trying to avoid the ominous feeling I have.
I hear the back door open and I happily turn around "Mr.Chu! I thought something happen-", a sudden rush went through my body and all the blood from my face drains. A big strange figure slowly approaches me with a blade in his hand, dragging it behind him, he smiles a crooked smile at me. My legs slowly and clumsy move backwards, "WHO ARE YOU? WHERE IS MR.CHU?!" I shout at the top of my lungs demanding him to answer my questions. The stranger smiles even bigger and starts to pick up his pace, "the fear behind your voice gets me so excited" he mumbled to himself, never losing eye contact from me. My heartbeat races out of control, as my body finally register the danger that I am. I begin to run through the aisles pulling everything I can down to the floor, creating a path of destruction behind. No matter what I dragged down, I can still hear the scary man's footstep crushing everything in his way to get to me. I finally reach the door, as I jump towards the door, a heavy grip grabs my shoulder and yanks me to the ground.
My head bounces back and forth from the impact of falling, my vision blurs and the painful throbs spreads throughout my whole body. "You fucker" I shout as I try my best to get back on my feet, grabbing the closest objects I can on the floor and start to throw it at the figure. I manage to get up, my head still throbbing I run to the door again, "SOMEONE HELP -" someone comes up behind me and covers my mouth, the big man is now holding me tight by the waist and whispers into my ear "Haha you're a lively one. I can't wait to be done with you" the voice sends shivers down my spine. My vision is now completely blurred by my tears, my head hits the ground once again as I feel a sharp pain hits against my jaw. I try my best to keep my eyes open and fight back when suddenly I lose all breathe and a heavy weight is on top of me. The figure pinned my both my arms behind my head, "YOU FUCKEN CUNT! HELP M-" I manage to scream as he headbutts me and my head hits the ground once more, I can see the darkness swallowing me. His filthy hands roughly rips my hoodie and I can feel the cold breeze of the empty store against my chest. He touches burns me like acid is slowly being dripped onto my body. I begin to lose all hope and energy when I remember i can't give up like this and that Mr.Chu is somewhere back there, hurt. Gathering all that I have left I use both of my knees slam it into his back. The hit catches him up off guard and he jolts backward, grunting out in pain. He unintentionally free my arms and I quickly turn over and crawl towards the door, I can faintly hear him cursing at me as he struggles to stand up. 'This is it I have to get outta here FAST', I thought to myself as I try my best to crawl to the door.
I finally reach the door once more, I gather all my strength once more to stand when I feel the burning sensation wrapped around my ankle. "Fuck. This is the end for me". I didn't dare to look back as I try to yank my leg back when I was pulled backwards, the tile floors scratching against my torso, I let a little squeal. "HAAHH FINALLY, make those beautiful sounds for me again beau-" the guy stops talking and my ankle was freed.
I slowly turn back and saw a blurred vision of someone else, his aura more calming and bright. The bright aura walks closer to me and bends down, THIS SMELL, my heart instantly races. The musky cologne that I once smelt before and instantly loved can only come from one person. That person, is now gently carrying up in his arms.His messy man bun is now down, one side tucked behind his ear, his face enraged and sad at the same time. The same caring eyes from the night before, looks at me again " I'm here now," his raspy but yet soothing voice calms me down and my fighting conscious finally rests as I nod and the darkness greets me.
