Chapter 2: Start of the Journey
Dark, stuffy, cramped, and loud. Those were the only words the sumed up the situation of two young men that somehow fit in just one barrel. One snoring loudly with drool coming out of his mouth, wearing a straw-hat, a red open vest, blue pants but both pant legs were rolled up to his ankles, and open sandals. This was Monkey D. Luffy. The other is Cloud. He has a tan-complexion, red hair that was in a ponytail leaving a few strands over his eyes; wearing a red skin tight vest with black outlines, and black pants that are tucked into black boots that's just below his kness.
The barrel jolted almost waking both of them up, but they both contuined to sleep as the barrel starts to roll then bounce as voices from outside are heard.
"You can't Lady Alvida well well kill us if she found out!" said a boy with pink hair
"She won't if you keep your mouth shut. Right boy." said a pirate
"Y-yeah o-of course." the boy said. As a fat guy picked up the barrel "Hold on boy's i'll open it the old fashion way" as he pulled his fits back to punch the top of the barrel until the top burst open until a young man surges straight up knocking the fat man out cold "Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh! I SLEPT GREEAAAT!" Yells Luffy moments after he looks around the room "Huh? Who the hell are you guys?" Luffy said at two men while the pink haired boy was looking on in surprise. "Wait. Hey Cloud wake up." Luffy said to Cloud who opened his eyes and looked at Luffy while he got out of the barrel which made said barrel fall over.
"Sate, sate, sate." Cloud said to as he got out and streched his back while listening to everything Luffy was saying to two men and what they were saying to them. Well not to them as he was ignoring the both of them and talking to what Cloud say was a boy with pink hair. Cloud decided that Luffy could handle himself as he went to look for something to eat. Walking around he found a sack of apples so he walked back and threw one at Luffy.
"So are we on a pirate ship or what?" Luffy asked the boy while catching the apple and Cloud brought the whole sack over to them as they both just ate and listen to what the boy who's name is coby said.
"No it's a passger ship that being raided by pirates that are under the comand of Lady Alvida." Coby said.
" Who cares about all that. We need a boat. Are there any onbored here Coby?" Cloud asked eating apples like Luffy but with more manners.
"I think there are a few, but who are you?" Coby said sounding shy the whole time.
"Im Cloud. This guys older brother." Cloud said pointing towards Luffy. "Geat cause ours got sucked into a big whirlpool shishishishi. That's why we were in that barrel" Luffy said while laughing making Cloud hit him on the head "yeah and like I told you I could have gotten us away from it instead of being stuffed in that damn barrel." Cloud told Luffy with a sigh 'I really need to stop letting him make decsions like that' Cloud thought while brushing some of the hair out of his eyes only from them fall right back in front of them again.
"So are you a pirate or passengers?" Luffy asked Coby while still stuffing his face, and Coby got quiet and looked down. Then he started to tell them how he went fishing, but ended on a pirate ship, and has been stuck on it for two years making both Cloud and Luff laugh "Hahaha" "Shishishishi"
"Your pretty stupid ya know that" Luffy told Coby blutly
"Gee thanks." A dpressed Coby said
"Why don't you just leave then. Why stay here if you don't like it?" Cloud asked with a sligh cock of his head.
"Are you crazy uh uh no way just the thought about leaving makes me scared." Coby said while shaking his head, making Cloud shake his.
"Man your a coward shishishishi I hate people like you shishishishi." A laughing Luff said making tears come out of Coby's eyes.
"So what made you guys set out on the seas?" Coby asked.
"Im going to be King of the Pirates." Answered Luffy.
"I'm going to surpass my dad and make sure Luffs dream come true." Cloud said with a smile.
Coby was shocked for a bit then he stood up "King of the Pirates is the title given to the one that has obtain all the worls has to offer! Your talking about seeking the tresure of wealth, fame, and power. The One Piece!" Coby exclaimed making Luff and Cloud nodded there head. "Yep" "Sounds right". Luffy and Cloud said at the same time. "No way! It's impossible, impossible, impossible! There's no way you guys can reach the top in this pirate age!" Coby said making both Cloud and Luffy hit him in the head. "Oww. Why did you guys hit me?" Coby said from the floor.
"One. Never make fun of anothers person's dreams. I will surpass my dad, and Luffy will be the Pirate King, and two it;s not about if we can. We both decied on our dream a long time ago." Cloud said leaning back with a smile.
"Yep that's right." Luffy said.
Coby looked at both of us seriously and put his head down "Do, do you guy's think I cpuld ever join the Maries?" I looked at Luffy and shurged my shoulders at him. "The Maries?" Luffy asked making Coby jump up "YES! Catching bad guy's is the only thig I wanted to do! It's been my dream since I was a child! Do you guy's think I could do it?" he asked.
"Sure why not? If it's your dream then make it happen kid." Cloud said.
"Then i'll make it happen! I won't be a cabin boy for the rest of my life. I'll become a strong Marine and catch Alvida myself!" When Coby finished his speech the wall broke down making us all look over who was in the in hole, but as the smoke blocked any view of the person the only thing we could see was the shadow of a ver wide body. "Who's that you plan on catching Coby?!" the voice said making Coby start shaking.
When the dust settled standing in front of them was a huge....Something. Cloud coked his head to the side 'is that a man or a woman?' Cloud thought. The man woman looked at both Cloud and Luffy with a smrik "I guess neither one of you are Pirate Hunter Zoro." It said. Then it decided to yell "COBY! Who's the most beaytiful woman on these seas?" It asked, but before anyone could answer Luffy spoke up
"A Coby who's the fat Lady?" Luffy asked making everyone but him and Cloud look on in shock.
"You really think that's a lady Luffy? It's obvious a fat man dressing as a woman." Cloud said with a straight face. "Huh you think so Cloud?" Luffy asked straching the back of his head. The face on Alvida was of pure rage she screamed as she brought down an iron club. Cloud and Luffy jumped out of the way, grabbed Coby and jumped on the deck of the ship and there were surrounded by pirates making both of them smile. "Sate sate sate. Looks like there blocking our way cap'n."
"So we beat them all up"
"I'll take care of these guy's. You get the cap'n. Cap'n."
Luffy smiled and adjusted his hat "knocking them all out?" Luffy asked Cloud who crossed his arms "Yeah. There not even half a challenge." Cloud answered, then he widen his eye's a bit, and every infront of them passed out with foam coming from there mouth. When Cloud was turning around he heard "Gum Gum Pistol!!" Cloud jumped just in time to dodge the large baody of Alvida as it sailed threw the air, and disappeared in the distance with a twinkle.
Landing Cloud went over to Luffy and they high-fived each other "Nice hit."
"Hey! Give Coby a boat right now! His wants to join the Navy!" yelled Luffy at the pirates on the ther ship and glared at them as if daring to defy him.
"Luffy before we leave go to the captains cabin and get the maps and a compass. I'll go and get the food so we don't starve to death." Cloud said jumping back down in the food storage. "Right" Luffy said...
Cloud POV
The endless ocean and clouds in the blue sky can real test a mans patience and will power. They've been sailing for a few hours now, as they left the pirates and Navy coming to rescue of the passenger ship, Luffy is sitting on the small figure-head looking out into the ocean while eating the rest of the apples, Im sitting down looking at a map and compass drinking some spice rum, and Coby is sitting cross legged with a looking showing his thinking hard abut something.
"So are both of you going to the Grand Line together?" Coby asked us.
"Yep!" Luffy answered while turning around to look at us with his goffy smile. "We're going to build a strong crew and head there right away!"
"So what's you guys position on the crew? Who's the-"
"Luffy's the captain and im the vice-captain." I answered looking up from the map with a smile of my own, while Coby nodded in understanding. "So Luffy." I said making him look at me. "You heard the fat lady say something about a pirate hunter right?" "Umm yeah. What was his name again?"
"Y-you mean Zoro the Pirate Hunter?!" Coby said nervously. "Yeah that's it. Let's invite him to join the crew Cloud." Luffy exclaimed. "Sounds good to me." I said leaning back as Coby's face went pale as he went into a rant about how dangerous he is, and how he's going to kill us since we're both pirates....which made both me and Luffy laugh.
"Don't worry about us. Were stronger than we look, and I doubt anybody in the East Blue can match Cloud if he has a sword and uses his devil fruit." Luffy said still laughing making Coby look at me in shock. "You have devil fruit powers?!" he asked me.
"Yeah, and can you calm down with the screaming kid." I said. "Oh. Yeah sorry." "It's cool." "So what kind of devil fruit is it?" I looked at him and didn't say anything but put my rum down on the map so it didn't get blown away, jumped off the boat, and unleashed my wings which now was 30ft long with the same midnight black feathers. I flapped my wings just strong enough to fly above the boat.
"WOAH!! THAT'S AMAZING!" Coby exclaimed as I landed on the boat and put my wings back as my eyes went back to there orginal color intead of one being gold and the other red. "So I have mythical zoan type fruit model Fallen Angel, and Luffy at the Gum Gum fruit which makes him a rubber man." I said sitting back down. "Now for the Pirate Hunter. Right Captain." "Let's go!!!" Luffy shouted.
