Chapter 1: Prologue
"Are you alright?" The 7-year old Jiang Ai Yue stared at the male kid lying on the ground.
His face full of scratches and the clothes that he wore have been dirtied to such unrecognizable extent. Despite his appearance, he has a face that could rival the famous child star that she saw on TV last night.
"Get lost." He retorted as he turned his back at her. His voice was noticeably hoarse and tired.
Jiang Ai Yue sat down and continued to stare at the strange child. Did he get lost inside the forest for a few days? Or was he a local? Should I ask elder brother for help?
Jiang Ai Yue is currently on a trip with his three brothers. Her family have always been travelling to odd places and currently, they're on a camping trip at the Wulei Forest. Her elder brother who's 10 years older than her is supervising the trip along with the 15-year old twins.
And yes, she was born from accidental pregnancy by her ever-so-sweet loving parents at the age of 34.
She kept the child some company without even noticing that she's been away from his brother for more than an hour. Ai Yue only realized it when she heard his brothers' voices calling her name from afar.
Hearing the voices, the child suddenly stood up and packed up his mini pouch planning to leave immediately. Concerned, Ai Yue tugged at his shirt to stop him.
"Wait, I think you should have this." She handed over her pack of candy snack and bread that she's been carrying around.
He slapped away her hand. "I don't need it."
"Just take it." She pushed the snacks back to his hand and stood up. She quickly ran to the origin of the voices calling for her name. She looked back once again at the child who was also glaring back at her.
"Bye bye, see you later!" She said before disappearing completely behind the trees.
The male child moved his sight to the snacks at his hand. It's been almost a month ever since he'd eaten such things. Thinking back at the little girl who probably thought that he's a wild child living in the forest, he couldn't help but laugh lightly.
Ai Yue...
"What a fool." Then he put the food at his pouch and walked at the opposite direction where the little girl disappeared.
