Chapter 4: Deceiving My Family
"Jenny why don't you go sit down. You must be starving." Jennys dad ushered her to the table as the family prepared to have lunch. Jenny reluctantly took the seat next to her father, but she still showed a smile on her face.
Jenny looked at her Dad. He looked like a human except for the giant hole right in the middle of his face. It was like someone took a hole puncher to his face. It was a normal proportion head. It's just he had a hole where his nose should be that went all the way to the back of his head.
The governments of earth in 2019 thought it must have been some kind of evolutionary adaptation from their home planet that helped them survive. How a hole in your head could help you survive I'll never understand.
When i had first seen the brief on the Visitors in 2019, i thought someone was playing a really bad joke on me. They looked like a cheesy b movie sci-fi character. It wasn't until the head of the CIA confirmed to the staff that what we were seeing was real that I started to breathe a bit faster.
Apparently the visitors had detected our radio signals and wanted to share culture and such to our people. They said they came in peace but they had over 10,000 Planet sized vessels approaching our star system that was affecting the local gravity. That's how we detected them.
They had sent a advanced envoy to be their representative. To share their technology and culture for peace. But most governments assumed they were after nefarious purposes that's why I was on the plane. I was headed to a secret council meeting of world leaders and government agents to discuss what we should do if the Visitors were hostile.
Dammit why did that guy have to kill me? I guess they really did come in peace. How did I end up with a visitor father, I look like a human? Maybe he is a step-father or my mother's boyfriend.
I re-focused on lunch. There were four plates at the table one for each of us. From my mothers conversation I learned that my father's name was Robert and that her name was Lisa. My father worked for the government Council in the space mining division, over seeing a platinum mine on Io.
My mother worked for a private firm that specialized in galactic hyperdrive research and development. It was called hyper light industries. They both were able to telecommute which apparently means teleportation now instead of just a video call. I guess that explains how they're here for lunch.
The future technology sure is quite advanced. Apparently most of the wonders that I've seen so far are from the Visitors. When they arrived in 2025 they did bring peace and culture and technology to our people. It was a smooth transition to the galactic stage for the people of earth, or so it seemed at least.
I sat at the table watching everyone else eat a Jello meat looking thing and several bean type dishes, my plate was empty so far as I could not decide what to eat. My mother noticed this and asked, "Are you OK Jen you haven't put any food on your plate."
"Oh i guess im just still a bit woozy from the head injury" I said.
"Nonsense you should be in peak health. Its probably just a psychological reaction. After lunch will refresh your memories to before the accident, with your memory back ups." Robert said. I froze when he said this, refresh my memories? Would that erase my consciousness and my memories of 2019? This was very bad. I quickly corrected, "No its ok I have just been dieting and was trying to decide wether i should continue." I quickly piled some food on my plate and began to eat slowly.
"Well look Robert shes fine, we don't need to worry about her memories for now. Lets just focus on lunch." Lisa stated. She looked at me, "Jen next week you will be starting at the Sanders High School, I spoke with your father and depending on your grades at the end of the semester you can start taking classes at the First Military College."
This was a-lot of information to follow. High School, military college, Grades? I was nervous so i just smiled and said Thank you to my parents. I needed to figure out a plan, i needed more information about what was going on to make the best decision.
We spent another twenty minutes or so eating and conversing, i tried my best to stay as quiet as possible not wanting to say something dumb. My mother seemed to notice this but she didn't say anything. The food was also very good. It not only gave me the nutrition my body needed, but tasted really good as well.
After we all finished eating i told my family i would go back to my room and check out some information on Sanders High. My mother said that it was fine but to remind me of the celebration tonight. I said ok and headed back to my room.
Once in my room, Celebration? What celebration, what are we celebrating. There is so much information and basic knowledge I need. I need an info dump stat. Or else im going to get caught and refreshed.
That could be real dangerous for me, I need to figure out a way to override Jenni's previous memory save files. I walked up to the desk and prepared to sit down when my breasts brushed up against the desk. "These damn things are in the way but they feel really good." I need to handle them, but i need knowledge as well. There was so much to do.
So i made a mental list.
Get information
A - General knowledge over the last 500 years i missed.
B - knowledge on a teen girl in the 26th century
C - Figure out memories of Jenny maybe i can access parts of her back up?
Deal with body and augments
A - Remove implants
B - Erase memory back ups of Jenny and replace with my own
Visitors threat assessment
A - Discover what the Visitors have been doing for 500 years and if nefarious stop them.
B - find out if my death was related to the Visitors, because for some nagging reason i felt it was
Future
A - live in the future and become powerful
That last one was a long term goal. Hey a girl needs dreams. I shall rule the Universe with a soft voice and a big stick.
Alright prioritizing info dump, lets go.
