Chapter 10: Chapter 9 A long Day
Ms. Ember's class was difficult. I had trouble remembering all of the names and components of the mixtures. One of the kids in my class got acid on his hand. He didn't even twitch; I guess he has been here so long that it didn't phase him. The smell of flesh lingered even after he cleaned his hand.
Now it was time for music and language class. The room was seven doors down on the left. I entered and took a seat. A young women with dark purple hair tied up elegantly in a bun walked into the classroom. She was wearing a knee length black pencil skirt with a white blouse and scarf. She introduced herself as Ms. Serenity.
She began teaching us Italian; after a while she brought out a violin. She started teaching us, making sure we each understood everything before we went on to the next segment.
It was now 7:00 and unfortunately time for the next class. This was a larger room with floor mats and an assortment of swords on the walls. The room was a light gray with a peppermint scent.
Everyone was partnered up by our instructor Mr. Onyx. He was a no nonsense person; no mistakes even if you're new. I had several bruises from my partner Nym, but he was friendly and patient with me. I learned several things from him; I enjoyed his company. Hopefully I made an ally. Time went by quickly from our friendly, yet quite banter.
