Chapter 1: Prologue

Deep underground, in an ancient temple where the dark side radiated off the wall held a fated battle between two figures.

The master who once treated her like his own sister, where once he promised that no one will hurt her ever again.

He stands now as an unrelenting force not unlike a machine with a single purpose.

To kill her.

The apprentice who once saw him as a figure of respect, an idol, a teacher.

Someone who gained her complete trust, faith, love.

Even now after all that has happened,

after all that he has done,

she still loved him with all her heart.

An unrequited love that could never be fulfilled, back during happier times.

So now, there she stands across his towering figure draped in black with one purpose.

To stay by his side, where she once had left.

She knows that the machine that stood across her would most likely not return to what he once was, at least not by her.

Even then.

She stays.

Ahsoka stands without fear even as she watches him thrust his red blade into her abdomen. One might call her insane to do so, she had fought him to a stand still and while she wouldn't be able to defeat him, neither could he.

Escape would've been a trifling matter.

No matter who he was before, this machine was but a phantom of the man she knew.

Stiff limbs of machinery replaced the flesh.

Anger and fury fueled every action he took

Covered in a casket of steel.

Yet despite all that, he was still the man she loved- wrong, the man she still loves

A sad smile grew on Ahsoka's face.

'*sigh*,Even after all this time i still can't get over you skyguy, I wonder how padme would've reacted to this all this', final thoughts about ifs that could never happen ran through her head as his blade ran through her body.

Searing pain ran across her body as the stuffy air inside the temple now smelled of burnt flesh.

Beautiful twin white blades retract back to their hilt as they hit the ground.

Strength leaving her body as she slumped forward leaning onto a cold mechanical body.

Ahsoka closed her eyes reminiscing of times long gone,

"I would never let anyone hurt you, Ahsoka. Never."

Her heart clenched as she thought of the man who once said those words to her, words that still resonated throughout her very soul.

*drip, drip, drip*

Sounds of water dropping to the floor resounds across those cursed walls bringing Ahsoka back from her thoughts.

She felt familiar arms holding onto her, clutching hard as if refusing to let go.

Even if they were now cold and hard as metal, that aura radiating from the figure it belonged to could have only came from one person.

No matter how tainted it was now, now matter how weak it has become.

The light he radiated filled her body with warmth.

Yet doubt still filled her mind.

"*cough*, heh.. guess.. what.. skyguy.., i.. didn't… leave... this… time...."

Her consciousness rapidly fading with as she struggled to whisper her last few words.

Weakly opening her eyes for a glance, she caught sight of black armour, designed to keep its bearer alive from their injuries, riddles with cuts and burn marks.

Strangely enough if one paid close attention, they'd realize that none of the damage had been inflicted on fatal parts of the body.

Only on limbs, away from the complicated machinery, and only shallow cuts.

As she brought her eyes up, she expected to see sickly yellow eyes, shrouded in darkness.

Though not before she felt drops of something fall on her face trickling down to her mouth.

'It's salty?'

Her gaze had instead fell upon a familiar pair of sapphire blue eyes that shone through a cracked helmet, eyes she hasn't seen since what felt like a lifetime ago.

Sapphire eyes that shone with sadness and regret.

Eyes that were currently shedding tears.

A soft smile graced her lips as the clutches of darkness further pulled her away.

Black spots filled her vision before she closed her eyes.

Her chest continued moving up and down,

Until it didn't

Ahsoka Tano, former padawan of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, left the world with a smile knowing that in that cold appearance of a machine, lies the man man she thought of as an idol, a teacher. A man she loved till the very end.

P.S

I truly wonder why some people read really random stuff sometimes be it to encourage new authors or just cuz they're bored af. Well if you are reading this then thanks anyway regardless of the reason.

This is an AU. I wanted to make something different than other ahsoka/anakin stories and I really wanted to try the timetravel thing from reading other fanfics. I don't write much so critique is very much welcomed, and nobody is editing or beta-ing this and i'm definitely not going over it so yah. also i put this here cuz it said that this was over 500 words (for some fricking reason) so i couldn't put it in author's thoughts
