Chapter 13: I'm Here Too
Ra was ecstatic, if they hadn't been almost immediately ejected from the space and if the Dragons were not holograms he would have passed quite a bit of time running and dancing around the corpses, laughing, he ran back towards his two companions.
"Nice one!" he praised bouncing happily while circling them.
"We did okay." Jace confirmed.
Ra's excitement slowly wearing him down.
Jace had been watching Ra carefully, he thought it had to be an act at first, but after spending this much time in the guys company he knew better.
"This kid is childish and cocky and... Jace blushed slightly.
...kind of cute" he thought. His face burning as it turned bright red.
He cast a side eye at Hannah and noticed she was gazing at Ra in much the same way, Jace felt a twinge of jealousy in his heart before sighing and dismissing it.
"I can't afford to be distracted right now" saying so, he slapped his cheeks with both hands to wake himself up.
"We should find the cause of the increased difficulty in order to take steps to prevent it from happening again" he said to the other two.
"Oh, right!" exclaimed Ra
"Yeah, Why were there two Dragons instead of 1?" asked Hannah
"There's no point speculating" Jace said shaking his head.
"Lets just ask the receptionist."
He turned and led the way towards the display
the other two nodded and followed behind him.
"Welcome to the Arena, How may I help you?"
The sweet melodic voice broke the silence as they approached.
"We have a question about the Arena."
Jace said.
"Yeah! There were two Dragons in there! what gives?" Ra pitched in.
"All questions regarding the Arena functions can be answered by uploading your battle video to the display." The melodic voice replied smoothly.
"Ah?" Ra was confused
"What video?"
"I assume it has something to do with placing our emblems into the formation core before we entered, there should be a recording on it" replied Jace patiently.
"Oh, then what are we waiting for, quickly upload the video" Ra was bouncing again.
"A moment."
"It says, any battle videos uploaded will be displayed and broadcasted for 48 hours, and can only be taken down after 24 hours." Jace reported calmly.
"Who cares?" said Ra.
"Upload the video, we did awesome anyway."
Jace nodded "That we did" not delaying any longer, Jace pressed his thumb to the console, and their battle record shone a huge hologram above their heads, it was the record of their battle, a series of information regarding the battle appeared as well and they learned the reason behind the two Dragons appearing, it seems the Arena challenge is directly affected by the number of participants and their registered souls.
"Hmmm, no i already checked, Legendary Hero Challenge is one Adult Black Dragon, We fought an Evolved Black Dragon and a Young Black Dragon." Ra said seriously.
"Yes well, I'm here too, I'm a Basic Heroic soul." said Hannah in a haughty voice.
"Intermediate Heroic soul." Jace confirmed his rank as well.
Ra's face burned hotly. "I guess I forgot to consider you guys." He said feeling slightly ashamed.
Jace draped an arm across Ra's shoulder, smiling at him he said: "You were just excited, mistakes were made, don't worry too much about it."
Ra perked up immediately. "So you guys wanna go again?" he asked, beaming.
"Sure, why not?" Jace laughed before he caught himself, Hannah peered at him curiously as well.
"Jace did you just...laugh?"
