Chapter 2: Tainted with Blood
"Tessa! Baby, where are you?" Hannah, Tessa's mother, frantically searching for her lost daughter.
"Mother?" Tessa opened the front door and came home holding a bunch of stuff.
"Mom? What happened to you?" Tessa looked at her mother's bruised face. Tessa hugged her mother tightly.
"Did he come again?" Tessa whispered. Her mother nodded.
"I'll kill him." But Hannah stopped Tessa.
"Tessa, listen to me. Your uncle is a good man. Sometimes he loses his temper but everything he does have a reason. He will be a good father to you. You must listen to him. Understand? Don't hate him." Tessa was angry and felt wetness on her mother's back.
"Mom? Mom? Are you alright?" Tessa hurriedly turned on the light and there was blood everywhere.
"Mom! Wake up! Mom!" Tessa held back her tears and slowly laid down her mother. Tessa's father was dead too. Blood flowing out of his chest. Tessa lips quivered and she was shocked. As she sat there with a daze, she grabbed a knife near her and clutched it.
"I'll kill him." Tessa repeatedly said that.
Her first memory of her mother and father was when she was five years old. While picking flowers in the gardens for her mother's birthday, her father hugged her mother on a bright sunny day. They looked happy and Tessa was a bright and innocent child. As she grew up, she was beautiful and her mother called her, a beauty. She grew up to be a kind and considerate woman that any man can fall for.
Tessa's earliest memory of her uncle was he was nice, kind to everyone around him. He did look at her a few times but she did not know his motive. After few years passed, Tessa's father suddenly lost his job and her mother always come home late because of her job. Tessa was alone while his father looked for new jobs.
"Be a good daughter and wait for me until I come back." That was the smile she remembered. Her father's warm smile. Tessa nodded.
Night came and they are still not back, Tessa, waiting patiently on the front porch. But no one was seen. Disappointed, she went back in. Suddenly, she heard a knock.
"Mom? Dad? Welco---" someone covered her mouth and they went in the house.
"Shh." Tessa struggled as she was being held tight.
"Mhhnn..." The man held her tightly and wouldn't let her go.
"Tessa." Tessa heard a familiar voice.
"Who are you?" Tessa was on alert and decided to protect herself. She leaned against the wall as the guy stepped closer to her.
"Tessa. Be a good girl." Tessa screamed but was silenced when the man kissed him.
"Stop!" But it was useless. Her clothes were ripped, she was on the floor. Naked.
"Let me touch your breast, you are so beautiful. Moan for me." Tessa struggled and tried to fight him, she screamed but no one came to help.
"It's useless. Obey me and listen." The man said as he continued to touch Tessa. Tessa screamed in pain when he thrusted into her.
"S..ST...STOP!!!" The man smiled deviously and stopped.
"Remember. This will not stop until you are mine." The man left Tessa naked on the floor. She was in rage, crying for help, she felt pain all over her body.
"Mom... dad... come back..."
Tessa slowly got up and dressed herself. She stayed in bed for until morning came. She cried to herself. She was still in pain but she got no one to share it too. She sighed and got up. Tessa took a quick shower and she wanted to forget. She didn't want her parents to get worried. They were still not back.
She went to a nearby market to buy some grocery. She concealed herself with a mask because she didn't want that man to discover her.
That evening, Tessa discovered her mother's bruises came from abuse. Her mother silently cried.
"Tessa... I am sorry. Your uncle... he...he..." Her mouth quivered. Tessa understood. Her mother was abused by her uncle. Tessa will never forgive that man. That man caused her mother to get abused and caused her father to lose his job.
Tessa didn't know about the whole truth but he knew her uncle can't be trusted. Tessa held her mother and father's hand and squeezed them.
"Mother, father. Rest well." Tessa knew her uncle did this. Who else will kill them?
"Uncle, I will give you a slow and painful death. Just wait." Tessa will remember the things her parents taught her. Tessa will never forgive that man for ruining her life that night.
After giving them a proper burial, Tessa prayed that she will find the culprit behind her parent's death. No matter how long, she will find him. She will survive.
