Chapter 4: dɹead
When you say any word repeatedly, at some point it will sound weird. You'll doubt if the words you repeated even existed. This works too with your name. Try it. Say your name out loud multiple times. Eventually, your name will sound strange even to you.
Fate and dread. It's fun to think that there's a thin line between them, right?
Oh, you don't seem to agree with me. Isn't dreadful to even think that whatever you chose to do is fated? Let me give you a scenario to further explain myself.
If you met someone you don't know, let's say, a stranger, 2-3 times on the same day. You'll probably think it's the fate that brought you together. A start of a wonderful love story.
But, what if you see the stranger more than 5 times on that same day? It's starting to get a little uncomfortable, no? You'll start to feel paranoid and maybe feel a little bit scared.
What if you see that same stranger every time you cross the street, turn around a corner, or even when you run and hide from it?
What if it's inside your house?
What if it's looking at you at this very moment?
Look around, I'll wait.
Done?
Have you seen anything strange?
You didn't see anything? That's weird. Try looking around again, carefully and slowly this time.
