Chapter 33: A Mysterious Junkie Invitation

All three turned toward the sound of Aziel's voice. Aziel and Zeven were mere steps away, approaching them with what looked like grocery bags in their arms. Just like every other day, they were yet again blinding to look at. God's background music 'ahhhh' yet again played as they entered the scene. Rhea's soul withered away in an instant.

She was praying inside her mind and worshiping their bright figures before her. Oh, right. The reason Rhea felt extremely weird was because of that. That thing where she pulled off her wig and stupidly announced she was none other than their creature of a neighbor.

It was also awkward since she hadn't seen them since that episode where she revealed herself as Faye Wolfe. At the time, the twins seemed shocked but understanding as they simply took her home with them without pestering further. She was thankful they were leaving things be but just thought god's loved ones were being too nice.

Surely they were only being nice for something in return? No matter, Rhea was now extra cautious than usual. She simply eyed the twins as they came closer. Were they planning revenge of the sort? They were way too nice the other day. Rhea thought, there had to be some kind of catch. The twins couldn't be complete angels!

The flashy man turned red and angrily flipped his head around after he heard his name. "For the thousandth time, IT'S JULIAN."

"Ah, Julian that's right. Sorry...But what are you doing here, with the neighbor girl?"

"Ugh please. Do you think I want to be here?"

"Let me guess by that letter in your hands...You definitely did something and that's why the boss sent you here to do his bidding...Heh bingo!"

Judging by Julian's defeated demeanor, it looked like Aziel's guess was right on the mark. Rhea was momentarily caught off guard. Zeven unexpectedly walked over as Rhea had to use her hands to shield his sparkling brightness. Why was he coming so close to her? She squealed. Was he trying to make her blind? He regarded her with concern.

"Ms. Wolfe...Er I mean Rhea, how are you? Are you feeling well?" he asked in such a casual manner that she almost didn't know how to respond.

Now she felt guilty for even trying to band against them but it was her own well being on the line. "I-I feel fine."

Rhea could feel an intense beam coming from behind her. The beam was directed at the sex crazed twins. Little Damien's eyes were sparkling with delight. He was probably the only one that was excited to see the twins since neither Rhea or Julian were too happy about this whole situation. Without much warning, Damien ran over and launched himself at Zeven.

"Brother Zeven!"

Brother? Rhea instantly wilted inside because within a few meetings they had progressed to kin out of nowhere.

Zeven chuckled and ran his hands through Damien's hair. "...Damien. That's a cool mask you got there."

"Isn't it? I wear it so that Rhea can be at ease and...Brother Aziel!"

Next, Damien launched himself at Aziel who was still face to face with Julian. Aziel flashed him a killer bright smile and returned his heartfelt hug.

"Haha...Damien, did you grow taller a few inches since the last time we saw you?"

"You bet I did! Heh and I was wondering when I could see the two of you again...Rhea said you'd both probably be busy and um...This might sound like a bother but I was really hoping to play piano and hang out with you and Zeven soon."

Aziel shook his head and kneeled down so he was close to Damien's height. "Listen Damien, you'd never be a bother. Here, why don't I give you my number and Zeven's? Anytime you get tired of Rhea, you can come and hang with the cool kids next door."

The cool kids? Grr, more like the lewd kids. And Rhea was cool too if she put her mind to it.

Damien jumped up and down excitedly and pulled out his phone. They were at the point of exchanging numbers! Things were progressing way too fast for her to comprehend. Rhea glared at Aziel but he only stuck his tongue out at Rhea. She thought her identity would drive either of them to hate her or be extra nice to her, but they were still the same.

Their sole purpose was now only to make her life more difficult.

Julian coughed loudly. "Excuse me, please don't forget I'm still here."

"Julie..." Aziel trailed off.

"JULIAN."

"Julian, what do you want?"

"Just take this!" Julian shoved the letter to Aziel. "Open it and read it so I can leave already"

"Why don't you just tell that man we got the letter?"

"Are you kidding me? If I don't make sure you open it then I'm screwed."

"And why should we care?"

"...Good point."

Aziel looked at the contents, seeming bored. "...Zeven, should we just toss this away?"

Zeven immediately nodded. "Toss it."

"Wait! You have to open this or just take it."

"No. We're not going to attend and let that man have his way."

Zeven sighed and shook his head at Julian. "Julian, Aziel and I don't support the shady shit that happens behind the scenes so we refuse to go."

This was all getting stranger by the minute. They were talking about it so elusively that she had no idea what was going on. Neither did Damien but he just innocently continued to listen on. The three of them were having a silent stare off until Zeven made the move to take the mysterious letter from Julian's hands.

Julian sighed deeply and pretty much began tearing through the strands of his hair. "...Look, I'd love it if you both didn't go but there's something urgent in this letter. If you don't go, that man said there would be consequences. Don't blame me if you two get in deep shit. Ugh whatever, I'm out of here..."

He made his grand disappearance while he flipped his hair dramatically and faded away down the stairs. Rhea should have just stayed inside her condo. She didn't need to be here to witness this extra scene. By the grave look on Zeven's face, Rhea was sure that it wasn't an exciting letter.

Since it came from BDSM junkies, Rhea wondered exactly what was inside the contents of the grave letter. Whatever. That was their problem.

Rhea beckoned Damien over. "Come on Damien, let's get back inside..."

"...Say Damien, did you want to hang with the cool kids right now?" Aziel asked Damien who's eyes sparkled like fireworks in July.

SAY WHAT?
