Chapter 3: Entering The Genesis
I watched Harry and the first years go and take the lake route to Hogwarts and then suddenly my eyes were covered by two hands.
"Guess who?" I heard a female voice behind me. There were not many people who are close enough things like cover my eyes. In fact, only one person comes to mind.
"Who else would it be other than Nymphadora Tonks" I replied. The hands removed from my eyes and they smacked the side of my shoulder.
"Ah! That hurts, what do you have under your robes?!" She screamed. I ignored her we both started to walk towards the carriages. After we both entered the carriage she asked "So why didn't you come and find me in the train?"
"Oh, there were some things that came up." I told her and then explained what happened on the platform and train during the journey. I ended with an apology say "I am sorry for leaving my girlfriend alone in the train ride"
She sighs and then in a serious voice asked "Do you plan on making Harry Potter and that girl Hermione into possible cadets to enter The Genesis?"
"Yes, since they seem to have the potential" I tell her. "Speaking of which, how far did you get in the Animagus Path?"
"I've reached the Hybrid stage for my Water Dragon form last week. Did you make any progress?" she asked.
"Yes, I entered fusion stage for my Nundus form." I replied. As I did so the carriage stopped I front of Hogwarts. "Let continue the conversation later"
"Hi Arcux, I didn't see you at the train" I turned and saw Cerdric Diggory coming towards us. We wait for him and then walk towards the Great Hall together. "So what's up"
"Nothing much, so have you decided if you want to join the group or not" I asked him as I cast some privacy spells. "If not I have to find other people to fill some of the roles"
"I'll join but only on the terms you told before" He told me.
"Good, and after you join you could look for future worthy candidates of Hufflepuff house to join" I tell him. "I call you for the initiation later"
Me, Tonks and Cedric were the last of the upper years to head into the Great Hall. We split up with Tonks and me heading towards the corner of the Ravenclaw table while Cedric joins his friends and housemates in Hufflepuff table.
"What do you see in him always?" Tonks asked. "I don't think he is someone able to become someone higher level. Why are you keen on recruiting him?"
"He has the potential to reach Count Rank if he works hard enough. Besides we need someone in Hufflepuff to monitor the situation there and help us recruit future members."
"You must think very highly of him then." Tonks stated. Yes I do think highly of Cedric because in the book his name came out of the goblet of fire as the most worthy of his age group to represent Hogwarts in the tournament. Its just I couldn't tell Tonks that.
The first years came in and most thing didn't go against what I had read in the book. The only difference was that Harry Potter was sorted into Slytherin, Draco Malfoy into Hufflepuff along with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger was sorted into Ravenclaw.
September 3, 1991
"We now going to explain the rules of joining the club. If you have any problems you can tell us about it." I tell Cerdric. "First we can not communicate with other people about anything about the club to the outside world unless given permission".
"That is for our own safety of course." Tonks explained. "In case someone wants to get rid of us and all that."
"Second you will not be required to join any activities but once you commit to a task you must go through with it." I continued. "Of course there are special circumstances that will allow you to retreat from the task."
"Third anything that is public knowledge will fall under our public title which is the Mysterious Organisation." I said and continued to explain. "We know that there will bound to be rumors about us so we might as well pick a public identity for ourselves"
"Fourth you will have chances to go up ranks but higher the rank the more responsibilities you will have as well as restrictions." Tonks stated "Fifth you will not fight or go against the organisation and in return the organisation will not go against you. In case of a harmful intents, you could always defend yourself but be warned there are consequences for any actions you take or your attackers take"
"And lastly you can not leave the organisation but can retire from being an active member." I finished of the basic rules. "Those are the basic rules, now we need your confirmation if you wouldn't join or not"
"What is your goal?" Cedric straight out asked.
"Simple, it is to bring back the era of magic and maintain it. If you do the research you will see that magic is slowly dying and we have found some of the reasons for it to be happening. We wish to re energize it. " I replied. "If things go on like this 500 years later only one tenth of the magic population will be alive if you compare with today's standards.
Cerdric thought hard for 20 minutes as well as ask many questions and then finally decided to accept the offer. He had to sign a blood contact, give an Unbreakable Vow and gave an oath on his life and magic to enter our group as a basic member.
"Welcome to The Genesis" I told Cedric as a girl entered the room.
"She is Cho Chang your partner for going on missions together" I told Cedric. "Cho, Cedric is the new member you will have to train. He is also your partner for missions so train him well. You guys can have this room, I have some things to "
