My mom looks at Minerva, a bit offput. She opens her mouth slowly, her face beginning to resemble that of a fish. She speaks,"Sorry, Have I heard of what?"
"Hogwarts. And by your response, I'll be assuming you don't. Now, nod if you want me to just tell you, and shake your head if you want me to ease you onto my explanation."
My Mum nodded, which I took as; She's just going to flat out tell us isn't she?! Minerva glances at my Mum once more, looks at me takes a deep breath, and speaks, "Magic Is Real. It's not a myth of any sorts. Hogwarts is a school, where you get to study and learn magic. You'll also be able to learn about the history of the magical world."
I nod, showing I understand, but I don't truly believe her, I mean- How could I? if some strange woman shows up at your door one day, and tells you that magic is real, you'd think she's a bit cooky.
Minerva seems to understand my thoughts, and says, "How about I prove it to you?"
My response is small and weak, but a response nonetheless, "Okay. Sure."
Minerva uses this as her cue. She stands up, and waves a stick, saying 'Windgardium Leviosa!' Suddenly, the fire poker lifts itself up into the air. My Mum screams and backs away.
"Try another! Anyone could try and do that!
Despite my rudeness, she nods, raises her stick again, and says " Kari, will you hold this? thanks." She doesn't even pause to let me answer, and hands me a broom. Then she speaks again, "Accio Broom!" And all of a sudden, I feel a sharp tug on the broom, and it goes flying.
Minerva catches it, looks at us, and that's when I truly believed her. Magic IS real.
Thanks For reading! Be sure to look out for my next update, if I get bored, I'll probably write a chapter and post it.
Until Next Time!
