He was supposed to be her knight in shining armor. Even though he was keeping her against her will, at least she was not going to jail nor staying with those so call family. But now, everything was different.
He might be in her way to achieve her ultimate goal, and if that so, she has to deal with him, the earlier, the better.
He clears his throat and answers her… "When you broke into my house, I had to hire someone to do some research on you, since you will be staying with me for the next four years… Those pictures and information are all he found out... I am very sorry if I overstep your private life…"
Now that we will be staying together they have to be absolutely no lie or secret between us… so having said that… is there anything else you would like to tell me.. or ask about me?"
She sighs a silent relief, and he too can see that she believed his white lie…
Yes all information that in the file was what Yan had found out, but his wild cat has many dirty laundries in her closet, and he already cleaned up some of them… and the reason he sent Yan to investigate about her was to find out if any of the covered up he did was still able to be access.
And he seems to have done an excellent job. He was proud of himself. Yan could only find a few old pictures and her education and nothing more.
She just shook her head to indicated she has nothing to tell him nor to ask him. For her, she has a rule, never asked someone private life, if you do not want them to ask about yours…
So, the more she stays away from his private life, the safer her secret was.
After all what relationship does not have little lies or deceptions here and there… Besides, their relationship was more like a kidnapper and hostage.
