Chapter 31: Sharing The Bed With The Opposite Sex
"Can we talk properly, face to face?"
I looked down at my naked body and tried not to feel offended.
"Come on, finish your bath. I'll wait outside. Please try not to slip and break your neck."
Annoyed by his constant mocking, I hurriedly got out of the tub and almost slipped. He knew me so well in such less time.
Walking carefully, I dried myself and dressed in comfortable night-wear.
Once I was under my cozy blanket, I called out to him and he was instantly there.
"So, did the bath help?" he asked causally.
"Not really," I grunted. I had a terrible headache.
"Why? Did you fall down?" He asked, seeing me gripping my head.
"No!"
"Tell me where it hurts," he said gently.
"Ouch, my head," I tried to massage it and he laughed.
"What?" I asked, annoyed.
"You are just so cute," he grinned, and I blushed.
He started to sit down beside me and caress my head.
"What happened?" I asked when he drifted to the opposite corner.
"It's inappropriate. I feel like I am taking advantage of you."
"Don't be silly, Armaan. I am not going to fall for your charms. Come on, get comfortable here."
He still hesitated and I asked "Have you ever shared a bed with a female and not had sex?" my words sounded naturally stupid.
"Actually…no. Never."
"Wow." I took a minute to digest that. "Anyways, I am different."
Before he could argue the point, I changed the topic.
"So, go on and finish your theory on why I can see you and nobody else?"
"Are you sure you wouldn't rather be sleeping?"
I looked at the clock.
"It is only half-past seven. Zara would kill me if she knew I fell asleep without dinner. She is crazy about stuff like that."
"Alright."
He took a deep breath – a gesture I found funny, giving his mortality status.
"We met for the first time when you were in a coma."
