Chapter 54: Barktus Vs Emmanuel and Arthur Final
"Arthur!" Emmanuel roars, seeing Arthur get blasted through the wall. He wanted to come there and help him but he knew he can't leave Vanya alone.
It was at this moment that he felt something touched his hand. He looked down and saw that it was Vanya. "Don't worry about me, go."
"But-" He wanted to repute her but when he saw the determined look in her eyes, he stopped. He realized that she already made her choice.
Seeing the reluctance in his eyes, Vanya once again urged "Go!"
'F*ck!' Looking at her again one last time, Emmanuel's hand shakes before ultimately letting go. "Please, don't die." He said, containing the tears in his eyes.
After seeing that Emmanuel is far away, Vanya takes a deep breath and used all her remaining strength to cast her healing skill.
With her hand glowing in a green light, she touches Lucy's hand, who up to now remains motionless due to shock.
"Sister, wake up," She said weakly.
Hearing her voice, Lucy finally came back into her senses. She looked at the glowing hand that's giving her warm to find Vanya, bloodied and dying, casting healing skill on her with what remaining strength she has left. "Vanya! What are you doing? Heal yourself, not me." Tears fall down her face as she pleads for Vanya to stop, her shaking hands putting pressure on the latter's stomach. "Please! Vanya, stop, you have to stop!
But no matter what she said, no matter how she begs, Vanya ignores her and keep healing her, with Vanya's dying breath, she said. "Sister, you know what you have to do."
"No, no, no, Vanya! Vanya! Vanya! Please God no, Vanya! " Lucy screamed at the top of her lungs, repeatedly calling out Vanya's name but it was no use, she was already dead.

As Emmanuel listens to Lucy's grieving cry, the tears he was holding started to fall uncontrollably. "Damn it!"
He already knew that when Vanya urged him to save Arthur, she had already accepted her death.
"F*cking asshole, I'll kill you!" He roared, retrieving the greatsword in his inventory, he brandishes it towards Barktus.
"Die." With all his strength and without abandon he brought down his sword.
Seeing this, Bartus just raised his arm, seemingly unconcerned. "Sorry but you're not qualified." With just one hand, he catches Emmanuel's full power strike.
"Impossible!" Emmanuel roar in disbelief, a minute ago their strength is almost identical, the only reason that he was at a disadvantage is because of the Barktus technique. 'How can he suddenly be so strong?'
Emmanuel tried to put more strength in his hand but Barktus just continue to overpower him.
"Let see how tough you really are." Gripping the greatsword tightly, Barktus smashes it into Emmanuel's head.
"Ahh!" Emmanuel falls to the ground but Barktus didn't stop there. He continuously pummels him until his face is broken and bloodied.
"You're really tough, Hah!" He said, shaking his arm. "But I guess this is the end for you."
Barktus grabbed Emmanuel greatsword and was about to cut off his head when suddenly Arthur appeared, his hair is rising upward defying gravity, his body's glowing in bluish light and the veins in his body is bulging like it was going to rapture at any moment. His eyes are like that of a beast, it has lost all color.
Upon showing up, Arthur immediately threw a punch aiming at Barktus' head but the latter detected it and blocked it with the greatsword in his hand.
When fist and sword collide there's a giant shockwave shaking the whole tower.
Barktus is surprised to find that he's been pushed back several steps but when he got a good look at Arthur, he realized what happened. "Amazing, you learned Bulin Mana Strengthening Technique just by seeing it once and you also manage to combine it with your own technique. Un-

Barktus is not yet finish singing praises to Arthur when the latter rushes up to him again like a enrage beast.

Arthur's attack became beastlike, it didn't contain technique and elegance like before but only brute force.
"Disappointing," Barktus said, shaking his head. Despite Arthur's increase in strength and speed, Barktus is easily keeping up with him. "You're truly amazing but it's too bad, this is still not enough. I've already reached the realm of a Gobakji, all resistance you make is futile."
Barktus dodges Arthur's kick and punches him in the stomach, sending him flying. He then pulls out an arrow impale in Ron's corpse and tosses in towards him.
Arthur wasn't able to dodge and get hit in the shoulder.
"Pushie!"
Seeing that Arthur is getting slappy, Barktus smirks. "And it seems that you only have about a minute before your body explodes with mana overload.
"Grr!" Arthur pulls the arrow in his shoulder and slowly walks toward Barktus.
Barktus is right, Arthur did learn his technique and also manage to integrate it with his own mana augmentation through the use of his skill Perceived Duration but there is one problem. Although he manages to gain strength to contend against the tier 2 Barktus, Bulin mana strengthening technique cannot be master overnight. You have to slowly strengthen your meridian and acupuncture with mana. If you force it, your meridian will explode and you wouldn't be able to use mana ever again. And what Arthur is doing is much worse; he is also combining it with his mana augmentation technique which is roughly staffing his acupuncture with mana. He wouldn't just be cripple anymore when the skills end but he would explode.
"Arthur!" Emmanuel roar, forcing himself to stand up. After reaching tier 1, he had thought that he finally gained the strength to stand side by side with Arthur but seeing them fight, he realized that nothing change. He was still worthless.
"Cough! Cough! " Arthur hasn't moved far when he fell down his knees and started coughing black blood.
Seeing this Barktus smile, "It seems that you've reached your limit."
Barktus once again grab an arrow and throws it at Arthur but now, he was aiming for his head.
The arrow continues to fly but when it was about to hit Arthur, the latter vanishes and reappear in front of Barktus.
"Your wrong asshole!" Arthur said, sending Barktus flying with a kick to the face.
Barktus is surprised to find the color in Arthur's eyes return and he became even faster and stronger. He immediately stands up and readies his stance.
Seeing that Barktus is already back on his feet, Arthur slowly approaches him while pressing his knuckles. "Your poison just get a burn-off, care for a round two."
