Chapter 91: I Think He Knows

Unlike the first building Selena and Killian had been, the hallway in the triplets classroom was loud with walls full of graffiti, one would think of it as a building full of delinquents with all the cursing sounding from each room.

Killian held Selena's wrist. He pulled her closer when some students suddenly popped their heads out of the window on the wall.

Whistle and chuckles rang into Selena's ears, she didn't shake Killian's hand from holding her wrist and stayed close to him. She had never been in this kind of school, and she had never thought that this kind of school existed.

Through the glass window, she saw teenagers boy grinning at her maniacally, while the girls were glaring at her. She never imagined this kind of school, or students but her skin crawl when one boy suddenly stretched a hand out of the window to grab her.

"Focus!" the shout of the teacher sounded from the room Selena was passing, exceeding the chattering sound from the other classroom.

"Is this prison?" Selena looking horrified - asked Killian.

The students looked at them like they have been held against their will in the classroom, even though the place looked like it was run by a gangster, the students in their uniform looked neat.

Killian smiled at her, hand on her wrist shifted to her waist.

They have past some of the rooms when Killian noticed some of the boys looking at Selena's behind.

He glanced quickly at Selena and then turned his head to look back, his other hand slightly lifted his back shirt, showing the black pistol he has in the gun holder attached to his belt.

All the sounds and head peeping out of the window disappeared, Selena turned with confusion and wondered what did just happen.

Selena halted to see Ethan standing in front of the students, next to him was an old woman with glasses and face so cold.

"Ethan, we want to know how the millions of Jewish died in world war two and not what's killed them," the old woman spoke.

Selena stayed standing and waited for Ethan's reply.

"why would we discuss something that happened in the past? Isn't more important to discuss what kind of poison was used so everyone will be aware of-"

Ethan was interrupted by her teacher, "Ethan, we are in history class, save that topic for your chemistry," she said, "you may sit down."

The teacher inclined her head to the student, "Leo Su, you're next."

Leo – with excitement shining in his eyes got up and rushed towards the board. He stood at the place Ethan left and continued the topic his brother didn't discuss.

When the teacher noticed Selena and Killian standing in the hallway quietly, she got up and proceeded to the door.

"Are you waiting for someone?" the teacher asked.

"We are here for Alexandria Su," Selena politely smile, extending a hand to the teacher.

"I am glad you came but you don't look like the triplets' parents," she said kindly, accepting Selena's hand while her eyes switch between Selena and Killian.

"We are not their parents, I am Selena Su, the triplets cousin."

The teacher nodded and excused herself to the student. When the bell rang, Selena and Killian were brought to the teacher's office.

--

After an hour of listening to nonstop complains of the triplets history teacher, Killian and Selena stopped at the café next to the school to relax.

They seated opposite of each other in the round coffee table, a small white ceramic vase with camellia flower was in the middle, while the smell of freshly brewed coffee mixed in the air.

There are few customers in the café, Killian the Selena chose the table next to the door and watched the street through the glass wall.

Selena sighed, her hand lifted the mug and gradually moved it closer to her lips.

"Do you like guns?" Killian asked.

With the mug in her lips, Selena looked at him, "No, but I know how to use one," she lowered the cup, ran her tongue over her lips to remove the remaining coffee.

"Do that again," Killian said.

Confused, Selena creased her eyebrows, "do what?"

Killian smirked, he lifted a finger and formed a circle in the air, "your tongue," his eyes sparkled staring at her.

Selena rolled her eyes, "stop it, Killian, why did you ask about the gun?" she drank a small portion of the coffee and this time, used a tissue to wipe her lips.

"Do you want to go to a shooting range?"

Selena shifted her eyes to the glass wall, she watched the street as she thought of his offer.

A sigh let out from her lips before drinking the rest of her coffee. She hasn't held a gun for years and thinking of shooting one, the loud sound it makes when she pulls the trigger, has made her missed it.

"Sure," she smiled.

"Great, let's go," Killian got up, extending his hand to help Selena get up.

"I can get up myself," she got up, picked up her bag and looked at him.

"You are so cold to me," Killian said, lips pouted a bit.

"Can you wait outside, I just need to wash my hands,"

Killian obediently nodded and went outside to start his motorcycle.

--

Selena closed the door of the restroom behind and walked towards the sink, the wooden design of the toilet gave her a forest vibe, so calm and peaceful.

She placed both hands under the faucet and water automatically flushed from it. Selena slowly washed each side of her fingers, eyes staring at the flowing clear water.

The door creaked opened, Selena looked behind her through the mirror and found a woman with heavy makeup and tight red jumpsuit.

Immediately, Selena's eyebrow creased, she recognized the woman, it was the customer who said to be Killian's girlfriend.

Katherine.

The woman stood next to Selena, eyes were looking at her through the mirror.

"Did you not hear me when I said that Killian is my boyfriend?"

Eyebrow raising with rage, Katherine lifted a hand and pulled Selena closer by grabbing her wrist "stay away from my boyfriend."

Selena nodded, the face was calm and not offended by Katherine's cold stare.

"Good," Katherine let go of Selena's arm and smiled.

Selena smiled back but her eyes were dimming with annoyance, her feet moved towards the door to leave the restroom.

As she proceeded towards the exit, Selena noticed Katherine tailing her.

Selena looked up ahead, seeing Killian on his motorcycle waiting for her, she rushed towards him.

She stopped, head turned to look at Katherine standing by the door.

Selena sneakily grinned at Katherine, she stretched a hand and lay it on Killian's head, pulling him closer and before their lips could touch, Selena closed her eyes.

Killian was shocked by Selena's sudden action. She never initiates a kiss, but she did and feeling the softness of her lips, and her tongue parting his lips, Killian's eyes slowly shut.

But before they completely shut, he noticed a familiar woman rushing towards them, Killian pulled his lips from Selena and turned his head. Seeing the pen on Katherine's hand and the anger on her face, he swiftly got off of his motorcycle and stood in front of Selena, blocking the way for Katherine to come closer.

Killian's face wrinkled when he felt a sharp object pinning on his arm, he turned to embrace Selena while his other hand pushed Katherine away.

Katherine fell to the ground, her eyes swelled seeing her pen on Killian's arm, she meant to hurt Selena but she forgot that Killian's reflexes are quite good that, he was able to protect Selena before she could hurt her.
