Eplia City
Eplia City was the capital city of Fruth Kingdom. It was the biggest city in this country with a population of around 3 million people. Eplia city was separated by huge walls into 5 areas, center, north, east, south and west and each area were divided into 3 sections.
The Gryth clan was the royal clan rules over Fruth Kingdom. The center area belonged to the Gryth clan and it was where the Royal Castle situated. Although it was called an area, the center area was like a small city and the other area was the same too. The center area was also known as Gryth City since only The Gryth Clan's member allowed to live there.
The north, east, south and west areas were managed by the 4 great noble clans. The Avoc Clan managed the north area, the Pom Clan managed the east area, the Stries Clan managed the south area and the Kregee Clan managed the west area.
Royal Castle – King's Office
King Owen or his real name Gryth Owen is the 7th King of Fruth Kingdom. King Owen had ruled Fruth Kingdom for almost 800 years. In 200 years the throne will be passed to the crown prince, Prince Paxton. In Fruth Kingdom, a king was only allowed to rule the kingdom for 1000years. The 1st king made the rule because he got stressed after ruling the kingdom for too long, around 4000 years. He is still alive and the same goes for the other past kings except the 4th king. The 4th King were killed by an unknown Supreme Rank Ranker 2000 years ago.
King Owen was seated in front of his desk checking documents. Although he was around 2000 years old, his appearance was that of people at their early 40s. With his long silver hair, silver eyes, King Owen was said to be the most handsome king out of all the kings that had ruled over Fruth Kingdom. King Owen was focused while doing his works and suddenly he sensed something.
"Someone is using the Emergency Gem. Clyde, go check the emergency portal," ordered King Owen to his loyal servant Clyde.
"Yes, your majesty," answered Clyde then vanished.
Gryth City – Emergency Portal.
Clyde appeared at the emergency portal and saw the portal glowing.
"Sir Clyde, it seems that Prince Roland is the one who activate the Emergency Gem," said one of the manager who manage the portal.
"Prince Roland? Have you called the healers?" asked Clyde.
"Yes, Sir. The healers will be here soon," answered the manager.
It was the emergency portal's protocol to call for healers when the portal activates. A few seconds later, Prince Roland and his knights, Ethan and a few of the villagers or to be more specific 7 villagers appeared with blood and heavy injuries on all of them.
Shocked, Clyde ordered "healers, heal His Highness, fast"
"Heal the others first. I'm still okay," ordered Roland and continued "Sir Clyde, report to His Majesty this instant. A huge magic circle that summon monsters of Rank 5 to Rank 8 appeared far east of this city near Maggo Mountainous Area. The magic circle is still active and monsters are summons without stopping. The monsters already annihilated one village and soon the nearby villages, towns and cities will suffer the same fate."
Clyde vanished and report the situation to King Owen.
3 days later, the situation turned worst. One small city, four towns and 27 villages were annihilated. The magic circle was still active and monsters kept pouring out without any signs of stopping. Fruth Kingdom was on high alert. All Rank 7 to Rank 9 ranker were ordered to eliminate all the monsters and destroyed the magic circle. It took them 1 whole month to destroyed the magic circle and another month to eliminate all the monsters.
Eplia City, Southern Area.
After the magic circle been destroyed. A month passed since Ethan arrived in Eplia city. At a small hospital room, Ethan was lying down unconscious. It been a month since Ethan fell into a coma. His fingers twitched and slowly he opened his eyes. He finally woke up after a month in a coma.
"Young lady, the kid woke up," said an old man. The old man was one of the patients in that room.
The young healer went to Ethan's side. She checked if Ethan really was conscious. When she wanted to start checking Ethan, Ethan's eye moved towards her. Surprised, the young healer asked "you finally woke up. Hi Ethan, I'm Emma. I've been in charge of taking care of you since you were sent here. Do you remember what happen to you?"
"…"
"Erm… If you can understand me, blink your eyes once," said Emma.
Ethan blink his eyes once.
"Okay, do you remember what happen?" asked Emma.
Ethan blink his eyes again but this time tears flowed down his eyes. He remembered everything and reality hits him. He lost his family.
Emma panicked "Awawawa, I'm sorry, are your body in pain? I should've check that first. I'll heal you," said Emma.
"Sigh," the old man sighed. "Young Lady, he is fine. Just let him crying."
"Eh, but- "
"Shouldn't you inform your higher ups that he woke up?" the old man interrupted. "You didn't check your patient data?" asked the old man
"I just got assigned here 3 days ago, how can I remember everything!" said Emma.
"How unprofessional," said the old man.
Emma's body froze.
The old man stared at Emma and said, "Don't you know that everyone in this room has connection to the royal family? Aren't you an elite healer? Don't you see my hair? Are you blind?"
The old man had silver hair just like King Owen and every other Gryth Clan member. Silver hair was exclusive for Gryth Clan. If you have silver hair, that means you have royal family DNA and automatically a part of Gryth Clan.
Emma's body started trembling and she realize she made a big mistake.
"Since you are new, I'll forgive you. Get out. Let the kid by himself," said the old man.
Emma quickly run out of the room.
Ethan stayed in the hospital for the next 3 weeks. During the 3 weeks, he went through physical and mental therapy. He was fully healed after that 3 weeks but he didn't smile as much as he used to. A week ago, Roland came to visit him since Roland himself personally rescue him from the monster so he somehow wanted to know Ethan's condition.
Roland told him about all the 7 survivors from nanaz village. Apparently, Luke and June were among the seven. Luke only suffer small injuries. Luke immediately hide in his house basement when the strong wind appeared. June on the other hand almost died but the healers manage to save her but Roland said that June lost her memories. She didn't remember, Luke and everything that happened. News of Luke and June still alive made Ethan happy a bit. That time he got the news, he smiled for the first time since he woke up.
But that was not all, The Avoc Clan decided to adopt June. A lady Ranker from the Avoc Clan like June hair color and decided to adopt her. That lady seems to really adored June. She got really excited when she saw June. Ethan only smile at that.
When Ethan heard about Luke, he was shocked. Luke was a part of the royal family. His silver hair was more than enough proof. The Gryth Clan didn't know whose son is Luke but one the family decided to raise him in their family. Luke always wondered who his family was but now he was back to where he belonged.
Both Luke and June were doing well and happy. Ethan was glad. Ethan wanted to meet them but unfortunately it was impossible. Luke and June were nobles now and Ethan was a commoner. Their status was higher than him especially Luke.
The royal family took good care of Ethan until he healed because they pitied him. The royal family tried to find someone to adopt him but no one wanted him, even other commoner was unwilling to adopt him though the royal family promised to give some incentives to them. The orphanage also refused him. There was a reason why no one wanted to adopt him, his hair.
A brown colored hair was common but his hair has a really small shade of cyan. People born with cyan hair was said to be unlucky. So, the royal family decided to give small help to Ethan by providing him some money every month and a small house for him until he can made stable money.
Ethan was fully healed and went to his new home.
He stands in front of his new home.
"Let's start a new life," muttered Ethan.
