Percy can't dance until pigs fly
Belle's POV
Coach Hedge said that mom and dad were ungrounded and he left shortly after. Mom and dad were both in the living room. Dad was trying to dance - I hate to admit it but dad was doing very bad.
Rune and I were just on the couch watching - we had nothing better to do. Mom was right by the couch - standing - watching. Dad fell on his butt making Rune cracked a smile. I, on the other hand, was worried. " You're such an idiot. Why did I ever marry you?"
By now the smile, that was on Rune's face was gone. Dad glanced at mom sadly. Rune said," I don't know. Why are you asking me?" Dad, taking it the wrong way, glared at her.
Rune said," I didn't mean it like that, father." " Just shut up Rune." Hurt showed on her face before she hid it with a blank look," Fine. I will." She got off the couch and went to her room, slamming the door. Mom went to dad and started yelling at him. Tears were about to escape when dad started yelling back at mom - they were fighting. I shut my eyes for a moment and then ran to my room.
I turned on my Tv and went under my recordings and clicked the one that read,' The Saturday Leo Show.' It was something I made up. You see, Leo had it so that his face can pop up on the Tv whenever he wants, to see what you are doing.
One day I was talking to Rune about how annoying it is, so she said to do the same so I did, and I still do. Every Saturday I would switch the settings so that I could see what he was doing. I called it, ' The Saturday Leo Show. ' I usually watch it when I'm upset, like now.
I was watching Calypso and Leo arguing. It wasn't like when mom and dad fight, it was one of those cute couple fights. Anyway, I was watching them when Leo's face popped on the screen. He asked, " What is all that yelling? " I said, annoyed, " They are fighting again." Leo just rolled his eyes at my attitude and said," You need to stop hanging around Rune. "
He paused," Why are they even yelling this time?" I sighed, " Dad made Rune upset / mad and mom started yelling at him." Leo shook his head and said, "Can I come over? My hammer is missing and I have a feeling Rune took it." " Go ahead but beware." He nodded before his face disappeared from the screen.
I got up and opened the door but before I could move someone ran past me. The figure seemed to have a... hammer?! My eyes widened - Oh no -this is not good, not good at all. I ran to the living room, mom and dad both started at Rune. They quit fighting, both were wide-eyed. Mom said, " Sweetheart, put down the hammer." Rune yelled," Make me!" Dad said, slowly, " Put down the hammer. You might hurt yourself Rune. "
Rune snapped," It's not like you care so stop pretending you do!" She raised the hammer and smashed the glass table that was in front of her. " I gasped," Rune stop." She glared at dad and went to smash another idem. Dad starting yelling at Rune while trying to take the hammer from her.
Rune started to yell back when Leo opened the front door. He looked confused when his eyes met the broken table. He looked at me as I pointed at Rune and dad - who I might add were still fighting over the hammer. Dad yelled," Give me the hammer!" Rune yelled back," Never! "
Leo's eyes widened., " My hammer!" Rune and dad yelled at the same time," Stay out of this Leo!" I facepalmed. Mom who looked annoyed said," Rune I'll give you candy if you stop!" She yelled," CANDY?!"
When she let go of the hammer dad fell on his butt. The hammer went with him, landing hard on his left cheek. Rune's eyes widened while dad winced," Dad are you ok?" I went to him," I'm fine baby girl. "
Dad got up and said," This is why you don't throw hammers around Rune!" Rune said," I didn't throw it!" Dad yelled at her," You are grounded for lying young lady!" Rune said," I am not lying! I didn't plan on hurting you! " " Your father is right. Just go to your room. " Dad added when Rune just stood there." Rune, go to your room. You have done enough already." Rune still didn't move.
Mom and dad shouted," Go to your room!" Rune shouted back," FINE!" She ran back to her room. Mom said to dad," Are you alright?" He nodded," Come on Percy. Let's go and clean your wound. " They left - guess it's just me and Leo now.
After a minute, Leo said," Don't you think they were a little hard on Rune?" I said, after a moment of silence," Yeah. I mean you can tell she didn't do it on purpose." " Does this normally happen?" I sighed and then said," Unfortunately yes, it does." " Wow. I wouldn't have believed this if I didn't see it for myself."
He paused, " Your parents were such in love when they were younger. " " Do you think it's because of us they always fight?" Leo shook his head no. He said," I have to ask though. Why do you record ' The Saturday Leo Show? '" I asked flabbergasted," You know about that?" He chuckled and said," I'm not your dad Belle. I found out after the second time you recorded it. "
" Then why didn't you say something?" Leo smiled," Why ruin your fun?" I giggled," How did you get the idea to do that?" " Rune. " Leo chuckled," Of course. " I asked," So your not mad?" He told me honestly," No, I'm really more mature than when I was younger. "
" According to Calypso, you aren't. " He playfully glared at me," You should go check on Rune. " " And get killed? No thanks. " Leo sighed," She probably needs someone to comfort her even if she won't admit it. " I sighed and said," Ok. " Leo grabbed his hammer and left.
I went to Rune's room and knocked, only no one answered. I knocked again and said," Um. Rune. It's Belle. Can I come in?" I still got no answer. That's weird - Rune usually answers, even if it isn't very nice. I knocked one more time before saying," Ok Rune, I'm coming in. " I opened the door and looked across the room not finding her.
" Rune?" My eyes found the curtains - they were moving slightly. I gasped. The window was open. She ran away? Oh no. What would happen when mom and dad find out. I sat on Rune's bed. Who would have thought this whole thing started because my dad couldn't dance until pigs fly?
