Chapter 1: The Beginning

"Dad, what are those numbers above us?", a boy of ten asked. "50 years of death and destruction. 50 years of killing innocents to get more powerful. 50 years of hiding so you can just get backstabbed. Life was simple back then. High School. Friends.", sighed a frail old man, "The reason for this? The Bounty. Those cursed numbers that appeared above everyone. The feeling of power that people get when they jump to the next tier. Then appeared the rare Stones, they allowed a person to gain more power through non-violent methods. Ironically, it caused more death when it was supposed to reduce it. Let me tell you this, my son-"
A thunderous sound shook the building, knocking the man down. "Run, Sol, Run!" The boy ran across the room towards the door. When he looked back, he saw his father let out a shout while slicing a glowing two-handed katana at blacked clothed man with a scarred face. That face would be forever imprinted into his mind. Then everything went black.

The present…
An adolescent wearing a mask walked into a room with a man wrapped up in chains. "Well, a 4-B captured me.", the man said laughing. When the adolescent lifted his mask the man exclaimed with a horrified face, "Jake! No, no, no, didn't the chief kill him? No, you're an imposter."
"Tell me, who is your chief?"
"I'm never going to tell you."
"Sylvester, tell me or the next thing I am going to slice of is your head!", the young adult shouted, slicing of Sylvester's arm. Sylvester screamed in pain, "I don't know who he is, but I do know that his tier is higher than yours."
The adolescent coldly asked, "What tier?"
"1-B"
The adolescent said, "I will kill him no matter what the cost is", a shabby knife shot out from his hand into Sylvester's head instantly killing him instantly.
The adolescent walked out of the room and greeted a man who said, "Hi, Sol...do I need to clean the room again?"
"Yes, I'm sorry."
"Nah, don't be sorry. It's actually nothing."
"This, Joe, is why I love doing business with you"
Sol handed Joe a few bronze coins and climbed on to a motorbike. Sol started the bike and zoomed off. Joe look on as he disappeared and muttered to himself, "I never understand that guy"
Sol stopped at a dilapidated shed. He walked inside and shut the door. He tapped on his wrist making a holographic screen appear on his and above the box. On the holographic screen of the box, there was word and pictures connected by lines all leading to a drawing of the same scarred man that killed his father.
Sol swiped the screen on his wrist and the new information merged into the mess of data. Sol glared at the drawing once more then swiped right on his wrist. A blueprint of a wristband appeared on the larger screen. "Ok, now for the energy source." Sol slowly walked towards on a smoky grey table which was isolated in the corner of the shed. Mechanical arms from the sides of the table removed itself from its compartment and a list of options appeared. The holographic screen above the small box flickered and small changes had changed on the blueprint. Sol placed his finger on an option and the arms started to whir and hold an oddly shaped gun. A lid from a hidden compartment popped out from the gun.
Sol sat down and brought up another screen and started to design a better power source. A call from Sol's wristband was all that was needed to pull his attention from his design. It was an unknown caller. When Sol pressed to answer, a monotonic voice asked, "Hi, I'm calling you to tell you that you have been invited to an auction of rare Stones." Sol pressed the end button and cursed, "Damn those marketing calls! Always calling about those fake auctions" Then at that moment, Sol just realized, "A quantum splicer, that can split extremely small particles releasing energy. If i can just focus that then the amount of energy it can release would be amazing" Sol rushed out from the shed and climbed on his motorbike and zoom off to the nearest shop that might sell a quantum splicer.
