Chapter 2: Protectors
I get up and I'm wearing a black tank top, black shorts that reached only halfway to my knee but only touched my upper thigh, and ugly socks. I pulled off the socks and run outside, "What are you guys doing here?" I say.
Jully walks outside, "Their probably here for me." Ryder stares at me, I didn't have my glasses on and I wasn't wearing my usual clothes. He licks his lips and leads me inside the house, both Hunter and Bear follow.
My parents stare at them, Ryder was holding my hand. "Who the hell are they?" My dad says. "Hi, Mr. and Ms. Rodriguez. I'm Ryder Knightly, this is Bear and my friend Hunter. We're here to take Brianna to school." He says letting my hand go. I was blushing non-stop, Ryder still had his sleepy voice and it was the cutest thing ever. I walk upstairs and the boys stay talking to my parents.
I had 1st period with Ryder and 2nd period with all, Ryder, Bear and Hunter. However, 3rd period wasn't good. I spent the whole period with Marina, she set behind me.
"I heard you're the bad boys new sex toy." She says then starts laughing. "Hope you have fun while it last, they probably only want you because you're easy."
That hurt, only because it wasn't true. Were we really friends though? At lunch the boys wait outside my classroom and walk me to the cafeteria.
"Okay" I say when we finally get into the lunchroom, "you guys can leave now."
"Why can't we sit together?" Bear asks sounding sad. I roll my eyes, "I know we can't actually be friends. You guys were just being nice." I walk to the restrooms and cry, I really wanted real friends.
I had 4th period with the skanks, I get dressed into my PE clothes and go straight to hide in the restroom stall. The girls in gym always bullied me in the locker room so I just hide until Ms.L tells us to go outside and do laps.
I run two laps and realize the skanks are behind me. Before I can get away they run me over and make me fall, they continue running on my body.
I tell Ms.L I'm gonna take a break and change into my clothes and leave gym class. I hide and cried in the restrooms again.
The boys wait for me to get out of class and immediately know something is wrong. "You okay, Princess?" Bear says, I nod. "Ya know, you guys don't have to wait for me." We start walking to 5th period
"We want to," Ryder says "What's wrong, why is your hand scratched?" He gently grabs it and stops walking. He pulls up my sleeve and examines my arm.
"Who did this?" Hunter says joining Ryder. "What happen?"
I start crying then cover my face, "Marina" I say and Ryder hugs me. "I'm sorry, Princess." Bear says playing with my hair. Hunter looks at him, "Stop touching her." He says.
"She's hurt." Bear argues back.
"Well touching Princess is against the rules."
"Not when she's hurt."
"Well we can't touch her hair!"
"Ryder's hugging her!"
"THAT'S BECAUSE SHE'S CRYING!"
"Shut up!" Ryder says releasing me and turning to them, it scared me that Ryder got mad. He was always calm and mature in any situation.
"You fucking scared her." Hunter says then he lays me on his chest. I calm down and he starts playing with my hair, I could tell both Bear and Ryder were angry about that.
In 5th period the boys disappear after they leave me in class. "We'll be right back, princess." Bear says and then follows Hunter and Ryder.
Class starts and we hear an announcement coming on.
" This is Bear Kilton, I'm here to say anyone that bothers-" he gets cut off by Hunter "or harasses" Ryder cut them both off, "Anyone that bullies, harrasses, or bothers Brianna will have to report to us. If you have any problem with Bri let us know and we'll solve it, get down or lay down."
My heart was pounding when they walked in the classroom. They told the people sitting next to me to leave and they set there, they didn't say anything as if nothing had just happened. Everyone looked terrified, I was surprised.
