The demon lord could hear voices call from a distance, as an internal struggle went on within him in knowing where he was and who the voices that called to him.
"He seems okay, no abnormalities detected in the x-ray."
"But why don't we run a CT scan? An x-ray is not a bad option, but CT scan gives more depth to what may have been missed during an x-ray."
"Dr. Ji, there is no telling if the patient is a homeless person. Who is going to pay for the test if it is carried out? I don't need to remind you of how costly a CT scan is!"
Lying on the bed with a drip passing through one hand, the demon lord could hear the voices of the doctors talking by his bed under the mild sedative drug that was coursing through his bloodstream, it's effect was slowly wearing out.
Ji Shizhen had a look of deep concern as he glanced at the strangely clothed man on the hospital bed, whose pale face starkly stood out from the dark robes he was wearing.
"Don't worry about the expenses, Dr. Wu. I will pay for his CT scan and outstanding bill."
"Are you sure you know what you are getting into?! He could be a homeless person?! How then are you going to get your money back?! Being kind is good, but you need to know when to draw the line!"
