Chapter 6: - Awakening (2)
As the Spirit Master is trying to awaken Tang San's spirit, the latter looked around, as if he had some familiarity with the foreign energy trying to break his 'chains'.
Tang San opened his hands, as if he was used to it.
The Spirit Master widened his eyes and thought,
'This boy... might be...'.
But then, the Spirit Master saw a spirit forming in his hands, to his shocks, what appeared was a Blue Silver Grass, he muttered.
"Blue Silver Grass".
Tang Chen saw a blue hammer that is only visible to him, forming in the left hand of Tang San, but he saw him forcing his hands to close.
The Spirit Master shook his head and said,
"Looks like it's a waste of time in Holy Spirit Village again... But there's one more..... Let's see if it's a trash spirit...."
The group who got their spirit awakened, shook their head sadly.
The Spirit Master gestured all of the kids except Tang Chen to leave, the kids abided his words and left the room.
But then, Tang San spoke,
"Mister, you still haven't tested my Soul Power....."
The Spirit Master replied,
"There's no need, Blue Silver Grass is the epitome of useless, so far there has not been a single case of it having Soul Power.
Tang San rebutted,
"Please Mister! Let me try!"
The Spirit Master turned his head and thought,
'This boy seems different from everyone else...'
"Alright. I guess it won't take up much time to test your Soul Power." The Spirit Master said and put the crystal near Tang San.
The time Tang San's hand had physical contact with the crystal, it glowed intensely....
You can see Tang San focusing on the crystal, while the Spirit Master sent a look of disbelief.
'This is... As long as the Crystal shows even the slightest glow, there is presence of Soul Power! If it glows to this extent... This boy... Could it be... It can't be wrong! He must be...'
The Spirit Master sent a wisp of Soul Power to Tang San, which sent him back, panting, the Spirit Master said in disbelief,
"You! You are actually born with Full Soul Power!"
Tang San sent questioning looks at the Spirit Master,
"Mister... What is born with Full Soul Power?"
(A/N: Warning, info dump incoming... Skip if you don't want to read a dump of info....)
The Spirit Master replied,
"The Form your Martial Soul affects how strong you are during the 'Awakening'... The amount of soul power one posses is also important. Most people when going through the first awakening of Martial Soul don't have any soul power..."
"Just like the other kids who took awakening with you... They are destined to be unable to become a Spirit Masters. But once you show even the slightest signs of Soul Power immediately after awakening your Martial Soul. You can start being a Spirit Master by training using meditation."
"Having soul power when you awaken is born with soul power. In addition, the amount of Soul Power you posses when you first awaken also influence the edge you have at start. The more soul power you are born with affects how fast you can increase your Soul Power through training!"
"Born with Full Soul Power means you have the highest possible amount of Soul Power at awakening!" The Spirit Master not yet finished explaining.
Tang San putted his head down and seemed to enter a deep state of thought.
The Spirit Master continued,
"Every 10 Ranks of Martial Soul is 1 title. After you awaken your Martial Soul, you will become a Spirit Master. Spirit Master with lowest level soul power is called Rank 1 and highest is Rank 10."
