Chapter 5: Survival Guide
After being checked by a doctor, Athena bathed in hot water in her room's bathtub.
'Dang everything around here is luxurious and elegant!'
Then afterwards, she was guided to her walk-in closet. Athena was disappointed at the clothes. They were all the same dark Victorian dresses. The cloth was making her skin itchy so she avoided wearing them. She then opted wearing a track suit, probably her high school's gym uniform.
After checking herself out in the mirror, she finally confirmed that she literally became THE Athena Hexie Wu from the novel and drama series "Love At First Kiss".
She really looked like that tall girl from the KPOP girl group Red Cake in her world, she was the actress that played this small part, except that this body is more chubby and have fuller chest.
'If I shed fats, I'd have S-body type huh? But I wanna try all the rich people's food...'
She sat at her study table and started writing on a diary notebook what she remember from the novel and drama series; the plot summary of the novel as well as summary of the drama series. And on another page was the list of characters and their information. She even listed some fun facts about the novel and the director's cut scenes.
She read the plot. The story kicks off at Autumn, the time where freshmen officially enters college. And during that time, she would be a third year of the Accountancy course.
But based on the calendar, it was almost the end of Autumn, and she's currently a 12th grader. She still have three years to change her destiny.
But she is not going to study Accountancy! She might as well just study what she had as her pre-med course in her previous life in order to easily graduate.
Now back to the survival plan.
Athena pondered and wrote all her ideas.
1. Avoid the Male and Female lead.
There are many variables in the story, the two leads cannot be touched as it might be a reason for a big change in the original plot. She just have to be not part of the two leads' area of vision.
2. Do not offend the heir of the Choi Empire.
The two leads are one thing, and another is that heir of the Choi Empire whom she has yet to meet. One thing is for sure, that person is powerful enough to destroy Wu Corps.
3. Earn and save money!
She also have to think of ways to help the Wu Corporation and save money for her family just in case everything went haywire like in the plot. Therefore, she must sell the ugly dresses first.
4. Stay lowkey, Avoid having enemies, protect Wu family.
She just got rid of her wicked aunt and white lotus cousin. Hmm...she must also learn self-defense.
Now unto that Main Villainess. What if she avoid meeting her in the future?
"Hmm! That's it! Number 5: Avoid the Main Villainess!" Athena mumbled loudly and put a check mark on that written idea.
"Hexie~ I have just came back from Pearl Country and brought you lots of gifts as well as dresses!" A familiar sweet voice called.
"Lihua! You can't just barge in!" Another familiar voice grumbled.
"Artemis, you're also doing it!" Another lady chastised the first two ladies.
"Hexie?" A blonde girl poked her head from the door to her bedroom.
"Here you are! I designed these dresses, and it is going to be part of the new collection of our upcoming runway show in Diamond Country! Discard those granny clothes you have. That Auntie Mingzhu of yours is really wicked y'know!" The stylish girl said while letting the maids put the things she brought on her bed.
"L-Lihua Andrea... Wang?" Those words escaped Athena's mouth.
"Yeah? What? I just bleached my hair for an upcoming photoshoot and now you don't recognize me? Silly Hexie Pffft~" Lihua Andrea Wang laughed and hugged the shocked Athena.
'Speak of the devil and she shall appear!'
Who would forget the iconic face of the Main Villainess? She even looks like the leader of Red Cake, the actress that played the Main Villainess character flawlessly.
"We're both blondes now! Hashtag Twinning!!" Lihua Andrea Wang giggled.
The main villainess is actually this nice towards her friends. It's a pity that she became evil after being rejected by the Male lead. This person has been pampered since birth and have never been rejected, especially by a handsome guy. And then she and her Villainess Squad started plotting evil stuff against the female lead.
She gloomily replaced the check mark with a big fat 'X' and hid her diary notebook.
"Gosh! I missed you~ I have been studying overseas and I just came back! Big Sister Hera and Big Sister Artemis are in your receiving area. Come~" Lihua Andrea Wang dragged Athena.
Hera and Artemis?? The legendary Wu ladies!! Hera Huiling Wu is the reason why she didn't give up on becoming a doctor. There were other novels about these two ladies of the Wu family though they were in the adult fiction genre.
The legendary Hera Wu checked up her health and even prescribed medicine exclusive from the Wu Pharmaceuticals. Their family doctor couldn't compare to this legendary woman!
"I wanna be like you Big Sister Hera!" Her thoughts once again escaped her lips.
'Argh! I have to learn how to control my body and mind. It does not have coordination!'
"Awwe! You will be even better than me Hexie~" Hera Wu hugged her youngest female cousin.
"Wait, you're no longer going to take Accountancy?" Artemis Wu asked curiously.
Artemis Wu is really the definition of femme fatale! She will soon become a lady CEO of the Wu Corporation and her husband from the Zhang Corporation is very supportive about it, letting her do what she wants. Those two are very compatible, leading the Resorts and Telecomm business together.
Athena racked her brains for an appropriate response. Then she saw a family picture in her study table. There was her mother, father, Athena Hexie Wu, and a teenage boy.
"No, I am no longer interested in that course, besides, my l-little brother will take over Dad's branch in the company?" Athena said and smiled nervously.
"Aries Liu is studying in Amethyst Country with my precious little brother Zeus Lei and younger cousin Apollo Liang. They're probably taller than us now." Hera Wu smiled and scrolled through her phone.
'Dang so each Wu household has Daughters as first born, and Sons as the youngest, what an amazing pattern!'
"Look at our younger brothers!" Hera held up her phone and showed a picture of three boys wearing a british school uniform.
'Fastagram? Interesting. I have to check all of the apps in this world.'
After talking with the three guest, Athena then changed into the dress Lihua Andrea designed. The dress made her look demure and lady-like. It was soft and comfy too. She now have a weekend's worth of clothes thanks to the main Villainess.
'I guess avoiding her will not be possible anymore huh!'
"Hexie~ You really need to exercise, okay? Your wedding is set this winter, and I'm gonna be the one who will design your wedding dress!" Lihua Andrea Wang reminded her childhood friend.
"The wedding is on winter?!" Athena's eyes almost popped out from the shock.
'Dang! That fast?! That's two months away!' She mentally cried.
"Well, it has been our family tradition that the weddings from the Wu marriage alliances is always held at Winter, Hexie-er," Hera said gently.
"From what I heard from Auntie, it would be a week after your senior high school graduation." Lihua also informed Athena that she would also be on her graduation.
"My graduation is on winter??" Their curriculum is weird, Athena thought.
This girl is going to stick to her like glue now that Li Meixiu is no longer hovering around Athena.
"Besides, you will not be forced to bear a child since you're still studying, that's the only thing I like in our family tradition. To bear a child after college. I'm sure Young Master Choi is not a pervert and will not force you," Artemis assured her youngest cousin. Athena hoped so.
The three accompanied Athena in her room until the banquet ended.
They bid their goodbyes and went out of the room. But not long after, her parents went to her room and ambushed her with lots of questions.
'Oh gawd! It will be a long night of brewing some white lies!' Athena sighed in her heart.
