Chapter 244: Call it a truce

'The… what?!' He tried to remain calm, but his eyes must have given away his shock. 

He turned to Shera and waited for her to call the idiot out for lying. Alas, she did nothing but sigh, proving that he was telling the truth. But… "How come I didn't know La Rose Noire had a king?" 

Although he didn't know who she was in those few years that La Rose Noire attracted everyone's fear and attention, he was pretty interested in this woman who was rumored to be stronger than him. Hence, he had kept keen on La Rose Noire in general and Shera in particular. How could he not know about such a huge thing? 

"Do you need to be so shocked?" The man laughed heartily when he saw that his bombshell had created the effect he wanted on Leo. 

On the other hand, Leo waved it off like it was any other tiny piece of news and took a sip of his water. "So, you created La Rose Noire?" He asked, feeling as though everything he thought he knew was crumbling down.
