Chapter 77: Chapter 76: Moody
Before Edwin returned to Hogwarts Ivan left some advice to help him keep the mandrake leaf in his mouth from using charms or sticking the ends in your teeth Edwin couldn't say that all of them were useful but he did use the charm to keep the leaf in place.
The next day when the prefects were handing out the timetables Edwin almost couldn't believe his luck as he looked at his class schedule his first class is with Professor Moody, even though Edwin knew to himself that it's not Professor Moody he still would need proof.
Edwin wonders through his mind as he started to think of a plan to expose Barty Crouch Jr, he thought of the possibility of finding the real Moody as Barty would need to keep for the continued use of the polyjuice potion.
"Are you alright? "Isabella asked looking at Edwin who barely ate anything since breakfast started.
"Yeah yeah "Edwin quickly responded as he snapped out of his trance "Just wondering what our new D.A.D.A teacher is like "
"Everyone knows he's paranoid and a bit crazy "Draco answered as he continued eating.
"D.A.D.A is going to be hard this year "Theodore sigh and continue "Moody won't be easy on Slytherin"
Somehow when Theodore said that everyone knew what he meant, Moody a dark wizard hunter who might have tried to put their parents in Azkaban when he was in his prime or even to this day, wouldn't want to be surrounded by their children.
With breakfast over they head to D.A.D.A class slower than usual, they arrived late to class but Professor Moody wasn't there they waited for a while until he arrived limping thought the door "Alright let's get to it "Moody said as he walked to the board
"what are you doing "Moody shouted as he points his wand at Daphne who was taking her book out.
"I'm taking my book out Professor Moody, "Daphne said as she placed the book on the table.
"We won't be needing that, "Moody said as he glass-eye observed the classroom "Got everything we need up here "
When Moody started to teach he didn't use a book but said and did everything from memory the only thing that seems weird but normal for him is his that he kept jumping and taking out his wand as if he was preparing for an attack
From how he teaches Edwin wouldn't figure out how to expose Moody as he didn't know what's normal with the man after class Moody left with the students instead of waiting for his next class" I have to do something "Edwin stated before heading to the direction Moody went in.
Edwin quickly caught up to Moody due to his limp, Moody is walking away from the classroom Edwin walked slowly behind him making as little noise as possible Moody walked into an empty classroom and shut the door behind him.
Bracing against the wall Edwin tried to open the door but it was and so he mutters "Alohomora" opening the door ever so slightly to see what Moody is doing but Moody wasn't far from the door holding his wand up.
A light shot out from Moody wand which destroyed the door and send Edwin a couple of feet back, acting instantly Edwin grabbed his wand from its holster and deflected the incoming spells Edwin could barely keep up with Moody casting speed.
Edwin got to his feet and as Moody sent a spell for his head Edwin deflected it and used the chance to attack as he remembers what Snape taught him but it wasn't enough to go against the man who singly handed full most of Azkaban cells.
Moody unexpectedly dodged the spell Edwin threw at him rolling to the floor and sent Edwin into the wall with a knockback jinx before he could react Edwin found himself strapped onto the walls by vines, the vines held down his arms, legs and covered his mouth.
"Ha You thought could have gotten me so easily "Moody shouted as he got up from the floor fixing his prosthetic leg.
Moody disarm Edwin before moving the Vines coving his mouth, "who are you "Moody hissed as he pointed his wand at Edwin's head "Answer or you'll regret it "
"My name is Edwin Vaclav i'm a student of Hogwarts "Edwin quickly replied but before he could continue his mouth was once again covered by the vines.
"Could be polyjuice potion or Imperious curse "Moody mutter loud enough for Edwin to hear "better tell Dumbledore about this "
"I'll give you one last chance who are you, "Moody asked as he removed the vines.
"I'm telling the truth I'm a student here and I just wanted an autograph from you, "Edwin said as fast as he could.
"For a student, you can defend yourself pretty well, "Moody said as his glass-eye examine Edwin.
Edwin had never thought that he would be capture by him and have his identity questioned, it felt ironic to Edwin as it was the same thing he wanted to do Edwin snapped out of his thoughts when Moody released him from the vines.
"I got my eye on you, "Moody said quietly as he glass-eye bulges out to look at Edwin "Now where are your paper and quill "
Luckily Edwin still had his quill and some paper on him and he got Moody's autograph before going to his class.
"They said I wouldn't need Veritaserum, When I get my hands on some I'll find out the truth about you Edwin Vaclav "Moody said as he limped back to his class "I should have done that roll "
Edwin went through the day trying to find another way to expose Moody and he found one after classes Edwin waited for the twins in the chamber of secrets.
"Fred, George "Edwin called out to the twins who were setting up shop.
"Can I borrow the marauder's map? "Edwin asked which raised quite a few of his friend's eyebrows who knew about it from the building of the badges
"Why would you need that, "Daphne asked taking a glance at Edwin.
"Personal business "Edwin replied with a smile which once again caught every attention but they shrug it off the twins then gave Edwin the map and stuck around to see who he was looking for.
"I bet it's a girl "Fred stated looing over Edwin and George continue "come on not fair who else would it be "
Edwin didn't pay any mind to the twins and open the map and looked around for Barty but he found Moody's name on the map.
