Chapter 2: The beginning
She had seen him around couple of times, on her way back from school, she would always pass his house and parents shop to get home and she had seen him then, a tall fairly tanned boy who reminded her of her ex, Peter. They had dated for a while when she was in middle school but he and his sister ran away to meet their mom who had been separated from their dad without saying a word to her..

"Hey Annabell, have you seen Peter? I went to his place but no one was home", Rina asked her friend of over two years. Annabell was older than Rina with 3 years but she treated her like an equal. "Huh? Peter is no longer here. He moved away or as the rumors go, ran away" Annabell said as she laid on her bed, pressing her phone. "r-ran away? what do you mean ran away? we hung out yesterday " Rina asked frozen on the spot. Annabell realising the urgency, dropped her phone and sat next to Rina. She spoke with worry in her voice, "He didn't tell you? He ran away with his little sister to go be with their mom. He probably won't be back for a long while.. " 'Peter.. ran away? he didn't tell me anything.. no explanation, no goodbye, he just..left. 'Rina thought sadly but refused to show it. She laughed "He ran away? So his dad didn't know when he left either. It's kinda funny thinking about Peter and Evelyn sneaking past their dad with bags and running away trying to be on stealth mode" Annabell looked at her,knowing something was up but decided not to push it and laughed with her, "hahahaha now that I think about it, that's a funny image"she grinned.
Rina stayed at Annabell's place, laughing and chatting trying not to think of the betrayal she felt. "Bye! see you when I see ya" she said as she left with Annabell waving in the distance. Now that she was left to her thoughts, she couldn't help but think about it 'did he really not trust her after all that time that he couldn't even tell her? what a fool she was to have trusted him' she thought as she walked home.
On way home she passed a guy who would one day give her even more to think about.
