Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Anyone home?
His next target is the next barangay's gas station, water refilling station, internet shop and convenience stores.
Mar loots the Elementary school and proceeds in checking for survivors. He saw familiar faces in the roadside.
"Ding!"
"Mission: Escort the survivors to the safe zone. Rewards are 1,000 gold in every survivors you save, 1 crystal and 1upgrade potion" Irene said.
"Okay Irene, helping them will complete 2 missions and earn me rewards after all" Mar said.
Seeing his former classmates' way back in Elementary, he remembers that Rhea is a registered pharmacist, Salve an IT graduate and Mary Joy also college student and this three were BFF's since Elementary.
As he stops in front of them, he opens the car and asks: "Do you girls need a ride?"
The girls were shock to see Mar driving such an expensive a sports car. Rhea was first to react and said: "Mar is that really you? We need to go in town's pharmacy for Mary Joy's medication and we got a text from mother that Nueva Valencia High School was declared a safe zone but the roads full of monsters"
"Yeah... It's me, no problem and I can drive you girls there" Mar said, he opens the car's compartment and put their luggage.
He closes it and return to the driver's seat. He saw the girls already inside and fastened their seatbelts. Rhea is sitting in the front seat while Salve and Mary Joy are together in the back. Seeing his crush seating beside him, his heartbeat was faster than normal and he tries to calm himself.
"Okay, let's go now. Do you have any idea what's going on?" Mar said.
Rhea replies to him: "Sorry Mar, we've also no idea"
"It's okay, maybe the town officials knows what's happening" Mar said.
After a couple of minutes, before they could enter the town proper, there's a police blockade and approaches it cautiously. The policemen saw Mar's car slowly coming, he turns on the megaphone and said:
"Please step out of the vehicle for an inspection and don't do anything stupid or will shoot you on the spot. Anyone who's bitten has option to go back or you'll be executed after found." said by Police Captain Yolo.
"Okay, we're coming out and no one's are infected in our group" Mar said as they get out of the car.
"Put your hands behind your heads and kneel down. We'll search your bodies first, if got infected by those monsters and your vehicle" said by Police Captain Yolo.
Four policemen thoroughly examine their bodies and three others search the car. They find out that their not infected and began questioning him.
"Have you encountered those monsters? Police Captain Yolo asks.
"I was waiting for my ride when a jeepney full of zombies crash in my neighbor's house and I shoot a lot them, in order to protect myself. I've also lure a lot of them inside the plaza using a sound system" Mar reply.
"It seems the situation is much worse than we imagined. Contact the higher-ups and we'll set up barricades in the bridges connecting to the town proper." said by Police Captain Yolo.
"Sir, do you have any idea what's happening" Mar ask after sorting out his clothes
"We only have a general idea like dead people come back to life after getting infected; they turn into similar monsters and attack other people. Some experts said this type of virus similar in those zombie films and it's highly infectious virus"
"The designated safe zone is Nueva National High School in Poblacion. We'll be going back in the safe zone and are you guys going there" said by Police Captain Yolo.
"No, I'll be going to Brgy Tando, to check if there are survivors there. These three girls will be going in the safe zone so I hope you take them, Sir" Mar said.
"Okay, that's your choice, so everyone get on the patrol car and we'll be going back" he turn to Mar and said: "I hope you go to the safe zone before sunset" said by Police Captain Yolo.
"Okay, Sir" Mar replied.
One by one, they thank Mar for helping them get here; then the three girls get on the truck one by one and before Rhea's turn, she hugs and kisses Mar in the cheek. She gave her SNS and phone number to him and get on truck while bushing from embarrassment.
"See you later" Mar said while waving goodbye to her.

"Mission Success: Escort the survivors to the safe zone and travel 10 km. in the apocalypse. Rewards are 8,000 gold, 2 crystals and 2upgrade potions" Irene said.
"Oh! Thanks I'm done and Status Display, Irene" Mar said.

"My spring has come at wrong time so let's focus on our priorities first" Mar said.
Seeing the truck far away from him, he put the piece of paper in his "Inventory" personal slot and drives to Brgy. Magamay's water refilling station.
This was his high school classmates Liza's home and later renovated to a water refilling station. He often text her, she was living now in the City of Love during the outbreak but he didn't get a reply from her.
He store the water filtration system, he then loots the stores along the road and proceeds to the gas station. He stops the car, he "Equip" the M-16 and said: "Anyone there, I need to refuel?"
He waited for a few seconds before going in but still no response from the inside. Mar broke the lock, he then store the barricades and fuel tank in his "Inventory".
He refills the gas tank of the car, drive it to Brgy Tando and still no reply from his sisters or brother.

After 10 minutes of driving then killing a hundred zombies on the way, he arrives first in his sister's house and knocks the door. The tricycle driven by his brother-in law is still in the garage, no one responding to him so he chops down the door and calls them one by one.
"Nang Lena (his sister), Nong Elvin (his brother-in law), Liza, Patrick, Jairus and Clyde? (1 niece and 3 nephews). Anyone at home? Mar said while searching inside the house.
