Chapter 4: A day out in the town
Waking up I glance at the clock and see that it's already noon. I guess I was more tired than I originally thought. hearing a sound, I turn in its direction to see Ravel playing with her toys on the couch by the window. I sneak behind her and give her a spook. She jumps and quickly turns around.
Seeing it was me she lets out a smile and hugs me. then she asks me if I feel ok to which I respond with better than ok. She then asks if I can make her my bishop now, but I told her that I want to do it with mom and dad present to which she agrees.
We go around to find our parents, but we're told by a servant that they're still sleeping. At first, I was confused but then I remembered that they were strengthening the barrier for hours so it's only normal for them to be tired. Telling Ravel that we should let them rest I ask her if she wants to go shopping with me.
She starts jumping with joy and runs to her room to get ready. I do the same and about half an hour later the two of us are at the front door getting ready to leave. While I was getting ready, I was picking where to go when it hit me. let's go to Kuoh Not sure of the towns name so I'm calling it this.).
I walk with Ravel to the train station that Rias had used in the show to get to the underworld. From there we head off to Kuoh.
"What do you plan on buying Onii-san." Hearing her I reprimand her on why she's still calling me Onii-san when I've told her to call me Onii-chan. To me, it sounds cuter coming from her and its less formal so I would prefer it.
"But you're going to be my king in the future." Once again, I reprimand her saying that she's my sister before she's my Bishop so she should just act like my little sister and call me Onii-chan. Hearing me she lets out a smile and agrees and to prove it she calls me Onii-chan.
"Good and to answer your question I want to buy some clothes. I planned on doing it much earlier months ago in fact but because of our training, I got too distracted. What do you want to buy?" I ask since I don't really know what she wants.
"I'm just happy to be out with Onii-chan." I hug her and tell her that she can be selfish and should just get what she wants. She smiles and hugs me back.
Making a bit smaller talk here and there we arrive at the station.
Getting off I grab her hand, so we don't get separated much to her pleasure and begin walking in the direction of the mall. In all honesty, it was a good moment until it was ruined almost instantly. A few minutes later I feel several devil auras coming towards us much to my annoyance.
I lead Ravel to a place devoid of humans and cast an illusion spell around us so were invisible to normal people. Soon after Rian, Akeno, Koneko, Yuuto, Sona and her peerage minus Saji who's not a part of her peerage yet.
They all land in front of us within the radius of the spell glaring at us, well Rias and her peerage are while Sona is just there emotionlessly.
"What the hell are you doing here Riser" Not beating around the bush Rias yells at me immediately.
"Rias, my lovely fiancé what do you mean. Can't I come to the town run by my fiancé? Hello there Sona, nice to meet you. I'm Riser Phenex and this is my little sister Ravel Phenex." I answer to Rias which in all honesty made me feel nauseous. She is the opposite of what I prefer a woman to be like. Sona, on the other hand, is more my type but I can't completely break character just yet. I then proceed to introduce myself and Ravel to Sona while extending my hand to her for a handshake which she takes and then Ravel does the same.
"Hello, their Riser. Pardon me but I'm just as curious as Rias as to why you're here." She asks me without showing emotion though I saw her be a bit surprised when I politely introduced, we without being arrogant.
"Well, Sona my little sister and I came here for two reasons. The first one is to go shopping while the second one is to see the town my fiancé manages." I respond to her while completely ignoring Rias.
"Why the hell are you here for then. Can't you go shopping anywhere else why does it have to be here." Rias yells obviously angry at the fact that I ignored her.
"Rias sweetie I know you want my attention, so I came here plus didn't you hear my conversation with lady Sona here, I am also here to see the town you manage," I respond with a smile which just further infuriates.
"Well lady Sona it was nice meeting you as well as meeting your peerage, but I promised my sister to go shopping with her so goodbye for now," I say and leave with Ravel before Rias can have another chance to say something. In all honesty, I could tell Ravel wanted to tear Rias to shreds so it was better to leave before something happened.
After we left Rias and Sona along with their peerages remained for a while talking.
"He wasn't as bad as the rumors made him out to be." Says Sona but in this world, while Riser was an ass he wasn't an actual womanizer or any of the other rumors going around. In this world, all of those rumors were started by the Gremory family in an attempt to make me look bad enough that if I were to marry Rias it would make the Gremory name look bad. This was the first plan put into action by them to try and ruin the arranged marriage which attempted to get the elders to side with them that the marriage would make the Gremory family lose more face then breaking the marriage.
"I don't care Sona I hate him. He's the worst and I won't stop until I get back my freedom." Rias yells at Sona before taking off closely followed by her peerage who also don't have a good impression of Riser since Rias has been telling them all the bad rumors her families created about me almost every day.
"Looks like Riser's not entirely like the rumors depict but this may be a façade to get our guard down. If you ever run into him try your best to distance yourself from him and inform me as soon as possible." Sona says. While her impression of me isn't too bad since she doesn't completely believe in the rumors, she still has her guard up in case the rumors are more truth than lie.
"Ok bouchou" Replies her entire peerage. They then take off in the same direction as Rias towards her school to finish her work as the student council president.
Back to Ravel and me, my mood was a bit downed after having to meet Rias but looking at Ravel's smile healed me.
Now we're in the mall going into different shops. First, we went to a clothes store where I bought about twenty black long-sleeved shirts with 2 buttons at the collar along with about twenty black pants made out of comfortable materials and a few packs of undershirts, socks and gym shorts. Then for Ravel, I chose for her some shirts with cute designs and a pink frilly dress that reached bellow her knees sleeves about half a foot long. After teleporting them back to my room in the underworld we continued looking around.
We went into a toy store and saw a big stuffed teddy bear that was pink and I noticed Ravel's eyes stuck on it. knowing she wanted it I instantly bought it and gave it to Ravel. She was happy but a few minutes later we sent it back home since we were still busy shopping.
After going into a few other stores, we arrived at an arcade. We went in and played games for about 2 hours. After that Ravel asked me if we could by some games to take home so I took her to find the store that sold consoles and games. We bought 1 of each console and a few games for each and sent them home.
That marked the end of our shopping trip, so we went to wander the streets of Kuoh and eventually arrived at a fast-food restraint. I ordered a large burger with bacon with a side of fries and soda while Ravel ordered a salad and wanted to order water, but I told her she should get juice since she was already eating a salad. She agrees and when she tries it, she is surprised by how good the juice tastes and can tell it was rather healthy though she did look at my meal and said I should eat healthier too which I said we're devils.
After eating we walked around and found a park. There we went to a swing set that didn't have anyone on them and just swung while talking. While we were swinging a group of three boys arrived and seeing one of them, I smiled. This didn't go unnoticed by Ravel who asked if I knew them. I told her that one of them was a candidate for my peerage. She looked shocked then looked over at them but told me she didn't feel anything special from them. I just kept on smiling while observing them.
Over with the perverted trio.
"Damnit Matsuda why did you make a sound." Yelled Motohama while rubbing his cheek where he had a large fist-shaped bruise.
"it wasn't my fault it was yours. If only you weren't breathing so heavily, we wouldn't have been caught." He says back.
If we go back by about a dozen or so minutes previous, we see the perverted trio in a hot spring. The last time they were here they notice a hole in the wall while they were leaving and had planned to come back to stare through into the girl's bath.
They stayed true to their words and came back. the problem was that they couldn't keep it down, so they were quickly caught and beaten by the women in the women's bath. They were then banned from the hot spring and dejectedly decided to walk to the park. Back at the hot spring tape was placed over the wall while the owner obtained materials to fill it in on the women's side, so they knew if any other person tried to peek.
Now we're back at the park were two of the perverted trio left leaving Issie alone at the park. After laying on the slide for a while he sits up and notices Ravel. He keeps staring to the paint Ravel got pissed and yelled at him calling him a creep.
He immediately tried to defend himself, but it was proven futile. I get off the swing place my hand on Ravel's shoulder giving her a nod then head towards Issie. Seeing me come closer Issie begins to get worried and moves back a few steps.
"Hey kid, what's up with the bruises," I ask while smiling which he takes as me mocking him.
Dejectedly he fills me in on how and why he got beat up to which I just laugh out loud and call Ravel over. I tell her what he tells me, and she looks at him in disgust while calling him a perverted creep. This dealt critical damage to him as he fell over with tears coming out of his eyes.
I tell him to come back with us to the swings where we continue swinging while I talk to him.
"So Issie what is your dream in life," I ask him though I already know the answer.
"It's to have a harem full of girls with big oppai!" He yells with vigor earning another disgusted look form Ravel and another laugh from me.
"Listen, Issie, while it's not impossible to get a harem it's not easy. First, you need to be able to support them, they need to get along themselves or it'll fall apart from the inside and most importantly they need to love you. And in all honesty, the way you're going about it now is earning you disgust from all the women in your life since no sane women like perverts and trust me, Issie, you don't want to get involved with any insane people especially insane girls."
Hearing me say this he begins to contemplate his actions. It's true that I've only been given disgusted looks form all the girls while there was one girl who showed interest in me but quickly backed off after she saw what I was like. So, he's right, but I love Oppai I just can't not say it out loud. Knowing what he's thinking I decided to talk to him about it.
"Listen Issie if you don't change girls will forever be disgusted by you. Also, it's not like you have to change you just have to act less abnormal. For instance, don't go complimenting girls on their boob size instead compliment them on their hair, eyes or even what they're wearing. This won't disgust them… as much and may even have them add you into their good book. Also, to get them to like you need to become someone impressive, most women want someone that will make them feel secure so become that person. Then you won't just have to look at your precious boobs from afar or in magazines instead you'll be able to have them as your own." I finish saying this while looking at him, Ravel already realized what I'm trying to do and is just smiling.
Issie spends a few minutes contemplating what I've said then stands up bows in front of me thanking me for the advice. I simply smile at him telling him it's no problem.
"But how am I supposed to become someone reliable or with power. I'm not good at school or anything else." He looks at me after having realized the cold truth.
"I can help with that. I can give you something that will make you have limitless potential, of course, there is a cost." I say while giving him a smile which to others looks like the smile of the devil. This, however, doesn't dissuade him but instead excites him.
"How and I don't care about the price as long as I can become a harem king." He says in desperation.
"We're not from around here so, for now, I'll tell you this. We'll return in half a year; in this half a year you are to cut ties with those two you said you were peaking with. And you are to stop acting like a pervert. Also, you are to try and improve physically and improve your studies. If you can accomplish these things in the time given, I will invest in you per se. I'll give you something that gives you the ability to reach high but it will still depend on how much work you willing to put in. if you don't work and just take what I give you at the minimum you'll have 1 girl. While if you give it, you're all the number of women in your harem are limitless." Having said this, I get up and begin walking away with Ravel while waving at him goodbye. Whether or not he comes through with the deal is up to him through his only options are to comply or die.
Back with Issie, he's thinking about all I've just said. Though the real motivation is the part of how even if he doesn't work hard with what I give him he can still have at least one girl while if he does work hard it could be limitless. This excites him knowing that if he works hard for only 6 months he could be set. Making up his mind he messages the other 2 of the perverted trio and tells them he's done with them and then deletes their number while he's on his way home with a fire burning in his eyes.
