Chapter 3: The Lord of the Mountain

The two new best friends went through the forest, giggling as they chased after each other, playing tag. As Wilson was following Roux, she stopped instantly after exiting onto a mountain path. Wilson didn't notice and knocked her over, but before she fell over, he grabbed her and fell with her. He held onto her, even trying to take a brunt of the fall and letting her land on him. " Why did you push me... but thank you for catching me." Roux said as she picked herself up then went to help Wilson. " Well, why did you stop running i couldn't stop... OUCH!" Wilson cried out as Roux pulled on his arm to get him to stand up. She looked at Wilson's arm and saw that his arm was cut up from her bark skin and the ground, "Sorry you got hurt for helping me let me help you lay down." she said as she gently laid Wilson and his arm onto a patch of grass. He grew curious but didn't move or say something not to interrupt what she was doing. She gently moved her smooth palm across his arm, causing a stinging pain across all the cuts. Then he felt something tighten around his arm and when he looked, the grass that was under his arm earlier was now wrapped around his arm causing all the pain to disappear away. "WOW, you are magical too that is so awesome!" Wilson exclaimed while getting up to give Roux a hug. When she felt the embrace from the young human a proud smile smile grew on her face, "Don't worry about it and plus I'm a forest angel, my magic can only work in forest or with trees and grass so it isn't that cool". Yet little did Wilson know he was about to see something far cooler soon. " Lets get going there is something way cooler I want to show you." Roux said as she lead Wilson down the mountain path. After following the path for awhile, they felt some heavy pounding coming from a nearby cave. Wilson had a heavy look of worry if not, out right terror but Roux looked confused, turning towards the cave and started walking to it. "Hey... hey, why are you walking to the scary noise?" He asked as he slowly followed behind her, not wanting to get close to the entrance of the cave. She kept moving as if she didn't hear him. Before she walked into the cave, Wilson's calls for her broke her from her mindless walking. "Sorry Wilson, I have a friend in the cave i want you to meet but he sounds really mad and i wanted to see why. Are you okay, if you are to scared you can wait here". Taking time to think, Wilson shook his head, "If he is your friend then we should find out what is wrong and help". When he finished talking, Wilson ran up and held her hand and motioned for her to keep walking. Roux looked down to Wilson gave him a big smile and they walked deeper into the cave. As the pounding became heavier and heavier they became unbearably loud, Wilson had to stop and cover his ears. Roux saw this bent over and placed her hands on his ears and steered him towards the creature that was pounding it's foot madly. When Wilson noticed the massive creature pounding away, his world felt so small in comparison to this creature. Roux walked up and gently started to stroke the giant's leg. After awhile, the giant stopped and looked for what was trying to calm it down, when he saw the little forest angel he was about to say something, Roux gestured for him to be quiet. " This, Wilson, is the Mountain King Lionel, mountain king of the human named mountain Wind Crest".
