Chapter 8: chapter 7

I woke up to the smell of fresh baked bread, not just any bread, but banana bread. My favorite. Oh how I love Mrs Wang I thought.
I didn't really set alarms cause I always woke up really early. I only set them on days when I was really tired and slept really late.
I rolled over to the side of my bed and checked the digital clock in the nightstand. It read 5:45, I still had plenty of time left. So I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom.
I took my brush out of its holder and applied some toothpaste and then I brushed my teeth. When I was through I stripped out of my clothes and turned the shower on. I got under the shower and thankfully the water was really hot.
It was times like this that I really appreciated the heater we had, cause the weather was really chilly this morning.
So I quickly washed my hair, and then my body. I dried off with a towel and got out of the bathroom.
I went into my room and took out my cream. I creamed my body and put on a set of matching underwear.
Then I went to my walk in wardrobe and took out a mid length A-line rayon red gown with long sleeves and took out my mid waist denim jacket. I took out a pair of my brown wedge sandals and came out of the wardrobe.
I put them all on and then I combed my semi wet hair and put it in a pony tail. I spritz on a jasmine scented perfume on my body and applied some lip balm on my lips.
I looked at the time again and it was 6:20,I had only 30 minutes to go. So I took my bag and gave one last look at the mirror before I walked out of the door and went to the kitchen.
Getting there I sat at the kitchen island and saw Mrs Wang cutting the freshly baked bread into slices.
"Good Morning Mrs wangy" I said to her in a cherry voice. "Hmm this one that you sound very happy this morning, I don't know if its because of me or the bread" she said plating for slices of bread in front of me.
"You know I love you Mrs wang, but today the bread wins" I said biting into the delicious slice of bread and I tasted the banana then I smiled.
I heard her fake gasp and said "well you're lucky I love you, if not I'd have shipped your ass to Singapore". She said placing a mug of hot chocolate in my front.
"Wow Mrs wang, you're killing me with love this morning" I said wiggling my brows, she laughed. "Only for you Lexi, only you" she said.
I splat some butter on top of the bread and took a bite of it while talking a sip of my hot choco. I missed dinner last night so I finished breakfast quickly cause I was really hungry. After I finished eating I took my plate to the sink and washed it. Then I set it on the rack and thanked Mrs Wang.
"You're welcome lovely". She said. "Goodbye Mrs wangy, don't miss me too much" I said walking out of the kitchen. "I always will, have a nice day at school and be safe." She yelled after me.
I walked to the sitting room and went out of the front door. By the way the house was quiet I knew both my parent had already left but I still always look for them.
I walked out of the front door, and Mr Ramon was already outside by the car. Dressed in a dark charcoal suit and with a small bow tie around his neck.
"Good morning Ramon" I said walking towards him. "A lovely morning to you too Alex"he said and I gave him two thumbs up.
He opened the car door for me and I got in. "Are my parents still around?" I asked him as he got into the car. Already knowing the answer myself but wishing it'd be a different one everyday.
"No they left really early in the morning for work. " he said and I sighed and said "of course".
My parents were both working class people. My dad owned a law firm which made him always busy and I only got to see him in the weekends. And my mother was a doctor and as much as I'd like to say she always tried to make time for me like she said 'claims' those times were always cut short.
While I was used to all their years of absence, sometimes I wished it was different.
I sighed again and relaxed in the car seat. I closed my eyes and listened to a random playlist on my phone.
After some time driving, we reached the school and the time in the car said 7:05. I was happy we made it really early that means there will be less prying eyes today.
I thanked Ramon, took my bag and left the car. I started walking to the school front door when I heard an indistinct scream coming from the car park, I looked around and there was nobody around so I followed the noise to the car park.
So I followed the noise and I found an elderly man looking tattered. His hair was everywhere and his skin looked like he hadn't had his bath in a month.
He was screaming and spewing abuses on a younger boy who looked my age. He looked 6ft and had dark auburn hair. His hair wasn't exactly combed but it didn't look as bad as the mans'. Just a little bits here and there.
I couldn't really see his eyes cause I was trying to hide myself but it looked green... I think. He had a muscular build that looked like he worked out and he has an olive skin. He wore a dark skinny jeans and a white T-shirt with a black leather jacket. He had combat boots on.
I hadn't really seen many good looking guys, but he was really handsome in a rugged kind if way with a split in his lips.
"You fucking good for nothing bullshit" the elder man said to him. "Well like the saying goes, like father, like son." He said and received a blow that met his lips, splitting it open the more.
"You're a fucking waste" the older man said with a look of disgust on his face.
"Well next time you should really invest your money into condoms instead of fucking alcohol to prevent waste like me from happening again" he spat out with rage.
The older man looked really outraged now and raised his hands to deliver another blow to the younger guy, but the guy quickly cut his hand and said "don't even think about it".
He picked up his bag and started walking to the front door. I wanted to start running but my phone started ringing and it was on highest volume. I guess he heard it cause he started running to see who was there.
I ran so hard my legs started aching. I didn't really know every where in the school so I just ran to maths class and sat down, thankful that nobody was around.
I was happy that I lost him and I was taking in air after all the running but all air was snatched out of my lungs when the door opened and the guy walked in....
