Synopsis
Leo walked over to Jessica and lightly kissed her. -Aren't you going to welcome me home after a hard day at work?
She sighed. -Must you insist on keeping this marriage going?
His eyes widened. -You're the one who's going to change this room. I took that as an indicator that you planned to stay.
-Only for the month, I'm required to be here.
-You'll spend the rest of your life here, he replied.
The fact that he seemed so sure of himself made her that much more determined to prove him wrong. She crossed her arms and glared at him.
He ignored her open rebellion. He gently took her by the elbow to lead her to the couch. -Will you have a seat?
-No. She didn't budge.
To her surprise, he picked her up in his arms and sat down. He held her close to him and sat her on his lap. She was too shocked to react in time to stop him from kissing her neck.
She pushed aside the delightful sensations his kissing produced and quickly stood back up.
He had amazing reflexes for he grabbed her hand and said,
-If you don't sit by me, I'll pull you back onto my lap. Or we could go upstairs and make sure you don't leave at the end of the month.
She loudly sighed so he would understand how much this pained her and plopped next to him on the couch.
He chuckled. -Now that wasn't so hard, was it?
She refused to look at him. She wouldn't let him get to her. She wouldn't fall in love with someone she was forced into marrying.

It's a sweet and nice story where the ML and FL are slowly progressing in their path o love. This story have no drama,no misunderstanding,no face slap and no tycoon but a beautiful love story of a cute couple.
If youโe looking for a light read, then you should try this out. No heavy drama, no white lotus play, no miserable FL, no cold and domineering ML, no woman vying for other peopleโs husband, no complicated plot. Just seriously light read. It was short and fast paced. The characters were likable. There were no disgusting characters. No family feud and no stupid house servants. Although I hope Author could fix the dialogues. They were confusing.
It is amazing! At first it was annoying I almost lost interest but at the same time I was curious to know how it will end with the icy wife and Leo...................bum happy to find out their love story had a happy ending
Interesting romance story. Makes you want to read more to see the resolve. I do wish it had some information of the world setting because I thought we were in modern times but some points are suggesting otherwise. Also, the lack of proper dialogue writing will make it hard for faster readers and ones who will really like proper writing techniques and grammar.

Love the story, great plot. Minus is only there are no โ...โ to differentiate who is currently speaking. So a little bit confusing, And some scenes are too jumpy. But overall still Such a great story. ๐ฅฐ๐๐ป
Thank you author for a wonderful story. It has heartwarming, funny and sometimes exciting parts. I wish it was a little longer though so we can know more of what happened to the other side characters.
I loved the book ๐๐๐ I found it quite refreshing especially since it took place in "ancient times"... I loved the reference to Dr Pepper and Hershey it was nice and the growing love story between Jonathan and Mary. I just wish Harrison Sr would have suffered more ๐๐. Totally recommemded to romance lovers. It's not too long, so you can finish it in a day ๐ The only thing that makes me confused was no quotation marks at all for the dialogues. Sometimes I don't know who said this, who said that, which one is the dialogue, which one is the description. But it still can be read. Just bear with it ๐
