Chapter 4: Chapter 5 Is He fir real
It was one o'clock in the afternoon when I reached the site and the sun strike's up high into the skies and it's strong rays heat the air throughout the whole messy place where the laborers busy working on flattening and digging the four hectares vacant land.
I parked my car at vacant area and locked it after I step out. looking all over the place, I could see our five contractors standing under the blue huge tent and they are busy talking to each other. I walked through them and when they notice my approaching,they stop their conversation.
All their attention and eyes are on me that made me uncomfortable for I don't really like being the center of attention but what can I do? I'm their boss so I need to act like one,even though it's against on my well.
As you know I really love to work alone at my office hidden from these people,simply because I don't know how to relate them but I always try my best to treat them well for I know they do their job well to help our company into success.
"Good afternoon Ma'am!"They greeted me in chorus that caught up my attention and I slightly bow my head as a response but my face that didn't gave anything away.
Now that I'm standing in front of them,I could sense the tension that clearly shows on their faces. I wonder how my little brother handle this kind of treatment naturally when I feel so uncomfortable the way they looked at me.
" H-Here's.. the.. document Ma'am. " Jason,one of our young contractor stammered voice said. I accepted the documents He politely handed with his shaking hand and my brow's knitted to his reaction.
'Am I really hard to approach? when I'm totally kind in heart if only they know me more.'
After thirty minutes of discussion they left and leave me alone on my own, peacefully and I was busy checking all the documents in my hand when someone came to interrupted me.
"Your look good today." A sweet familiar and deep voice whisper into my ear that surprises me. I faltered and was about to fall when I try to step back and luckily Harrish was catch me just in time.
I gasped in shocked when I feel his warm hand on my back and my waist supporting me and It all happened quickly wondering if I was hallucinating but his heart beats told me that it was all pretty real!.This close proximity tense me up and my face turned red when I notice my hands on his broad chest.
I clear my throat as slowly withdraw myself from him but he held me tightly when I began to move and when I looked up,his magnetic brown eyes was starring at me with concerned and warm expression that quite visible on his tone too.
"Hey!can you just be mindful on your steps!" His voice was stunned me for a moment and my eye's wandered all over his face that now was so close to me. His minty freshly showered body was soothing into my nose and it's smells so good.
He chuckled and his gaze was focused on my flushed face.
"Hey listen,"He said and his words attracting my attention as I seriously looking at him.
"Next time if you want to fall,make it sure that you fall into me and not on the ground."
It took me a while before to realized what he said and the only word I say was..
"Shameless!"
" Now you're talking."He said with a wide smile plastered on his face indicating his joy on my my late reaction that started to annoyed me.
I rolled my eyes and glare at him.
"Of course I can talk."
"Well not all times.."
"I guess I don't like talking useless things?" I said raising my brows at him.
" We're the same but we can talk more" He said sweetly and my smile went on to his cheesy words which I never expected to hear from him and it surprised him.
"Oh!I miss that smile."He said and my curiosity begin to rise up.
"Are you sure that was me?" I asked raising my brow at him and his face turned into seriousness which I never seen before and amuses me to seeing his face changes into different expressions.
"Only you have that sweet smile,so I guess it's you I'm thinking all the time." He added and it made me chuckle not expecting hear those romantic words from him.
"You and your flattering words Mr. Talledo was freaking me out."
"I'm true to my words and you know that."He said while looking deep into my eyes and then he added..
"I came back because of you."
I wanted to say something when his deep down brown eyes meet mine. It was filled with emotion that hard for me to read.
"I know it's hard to believe but I'm true to my words." He added,leaning down to my face and I slowly leaned away in response but my eyes are still on him.
"Hey Love bird's!" A familiar voice shouted that made Harrish and I turned. We see a man who's standing nearly to us and He's wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
He was smiling on us and He look familiar to me but not sure if it is her.
"It's Melissa" Harrish whisper when he notice my silence and hearing his words made me looked back at him.
"It's really her." He added seeing my face puzzled.
"Bhest it is really me!" It said again and I slowly turned my head back to her and my eye's are scanned her head down to her body.
I could say she changed a lot from being a charming woman to a boyish image and her silky black hair above her shoulders was now cut into a flat top.
"Can I hug my best friend now?" She gently asked as she open wide her arms into a hug and only then I realized that my body was still collided to Harrish.
"I guess she miss you so much!" Harrish said with a sweet smile on his face and slowly let me go from his touch but before I steady my feet on the ground,An arm thrown at me into a warm embrace that made me love and secured and only Melissa can give.
Reluctantly I hug her back and only then I realize how much I missed her.
She maybe not like the same outwards but her presence right now telling me that she is my best friend that I've known and forever stays in my heart.
"Hi!" She cheerfully greeted Harrish after our warm hugs and we both facing him.
"I'm glad your here" He said with small smile on his lips while looking back to Mhel and His response bewildered me.
"Of course all of this is for my Best friend!" She cheerfully said making me frown trying to know what they are talking about.
"Congratulations by the way!" Melissa beamed as she put her hand around my shoulders.
"And I guess you need to share your stories?" She asked cheekily at me who look at her blankly.
"What story?"I asked and her smile become wider with excitement.
" Oh my!"she added while looking at Harrish
"I'm sorry bro I blown out your surprise."She apologized and my eyes are looking back and forth to them.
"Please let me explain."Harrish pleaded at me and he looked tense and why I feel something went off?
" Explain? about what?" I seriously asked and his face look more guiltier than before.
"What?You didn't know about your marriage?" Melissa asked and she's confusedly looking at me and I raised my brow on her.
" What?He told you that?" Frustratingly, rubbed my hands into my face and ears as I turned at her and Melissa stood there surprisingly looking at me.
I take a deep breath to control my anger and asked her "Is he for real?" I really tried my best not to sound sarcastic but failed to do so and both of them looked at me in earnestly.
