Chapter 34: Laughing fit
Although I had walked away, I still waited in the capital city to see how they would react and how fast a connection between the mysterious man in the holy mountain city and the robbing of all the herbs of the floating dragon sect. It actually just was a coincidence that I robbed them and not someone else, but they had the most useful and the most herbs of all the people in the city.
Furthermore did I want to experience if they treated me differently as long as I didn't have signs of a monster like my really cool, orange glowing eyes. Let's have a look at the most important ones of all the herbs. Or if they were herbs at all.
[Spiritual tree's core
Description: True core of an immortal tree that has lived since the beginning of the world.
Effect: Grants mental to the user and is inheritable by the reborn body or the children of the user.
[World tree's sap-pearl
Description: After a disaster had happened in one of the worlds, the world tree shed a tear and it formed this artefact.
Effect: Grants the user the bloodline of the world tree and it is inheritable by the reborn body or the children of the user.
[Lightning elemental's plasma
Description: A dying lightning elemental died after it was caught by tricky humans, but as revenge, he cursed himself that if a human ever touches his loot, they would be electrocuted.
Effect: Give the user a lightning resistance and a certain control over it. (Depends on Intelligence)
Requirement: Not a human being
[Fenrir's bane
Description: Fenrir is said to be the ancestor of the wolfmen tribes, but was killed out of jealousy by the other tribes. After his death, Fenrir's bane grew and only at that place. This unique flower however was somehow carried by the wind to another continent. Fate? I don't think so.
Effect: Grants the user the ability to assume the form of Fenrir and grants him the bloodline of the king of wolfs, Fenrir. This can be inherited by a reborn body or child. (Quest is attached)
[Yin and Yang berries
Description: After growing as normal berries at a place where the Qi is distributed equally and left in peace for at least a hundred years, they turned into Yin and Yang berries.
Effect: The user gains a state of equality where they won't ever fall into madness or anger. The trait is called Equality for everything. Especially useful for a ruler. Granted to the reborn body or child of the user.
I really had to catch up with the history of the multiverse. When was that disaster? What happened? And who the hell is Fenrir?! Such a hypocrite. I AM THE CREATOR!!! He is just a lame imitation!
At least I can expect something to lift my mood. The sun had risen!
I walked past the waking elders and men and women who had their daily business to do. Nobody looked badly at me, except asking themselves what a stranger like myself had to do in the inner district of the city. But as it was still early morning and the sun had just set, they didn't want to have problems yet. Hurriedly and determined, I walked to the palace of the sect, which I had robbed during the night. In the light of the sky, it was an even more beautiful palace than it was during the night, where I had seen everything with a weakened dark vision, where I was only capable to see in black and white. In an alley that went past the palace in the blind corner of the guards were patrol. There I climbed on top of the highest roof and looked down into the garden where the young woman still hang and hadn't awoken yet. A thought flashed through my mind, what if they were still sleeping because of the spell I had casted upon them with my druidic abilities. ~Dispell
Immediately I heard yawns and then, shortly after, gasps of disbelief. Suddenly the alarm bell was triggered as well and I immediately felt smarter than I was last time. I had turned down my ability to hear multiple times better to just a few times better and now I didn't have the feeling again that my ear wanted to fall down or shatter at such a sound.
The old man where I looked in earlier looked around everywhere panically and woke up anybody who hadn't been awoken yet, even at this alarm. The whole sect was on their legs and after they found out that the young mistress, who was the daughter of the clan head, went missing they searched everywhere, but since she was still asleep, she couldn't shout back to tell where she was.
If the people from the sect looked very carefully up to their highest tower, they could see a man having a laughing fit at their senseless behaviour when the only thing they had to do was go to their garden. Instead did they walk around like headless chicken that was still able to cry.
After what had been like ten minutes of laughing for one person and searching for the rest of the people in the palace, a maid, or more, an unfortunate cultivator that didn't have that much of talent, that had given up on searching and had returned to her duty of watering the plants in the garden, found the hanging body of the young lady.
Finally my laughing stopped and I looked down to see what would happen next. The maid remembered about her duty and let her can fall down. Then she ran to the serious looking sect master, but what happened next made me chuckle. The personal guards of the sect master took it as a sign that she wanted to assassinate the sect master and so, the 4 guards that were with him, each pierced her with their spears or sabres. The only thing she was able to say was: "I found your daughter."
After she had collapsed and died, the sect master, beat the guards around him as he got an outburst of rage. He hit them in various ways until they weren't able to move anymore. Signalling the guards at the door to remove them, a new pair of guards came by and stood once again protectively around him.
Observing the maid's body, he noticed the dirt on her body and drew the conclusion that his daughter should be where there was dirt. Apparently, they hadn't found out about their herbs or else, if the master would have such a rage-quit again, all of them probably wouldn't be alive anymore.
Finally, he seemed to realise that the only space where there was dirt, was the garden and without saying anything to his guards or anybody else, he energetically rushed away and the other people that were with him had to rush after him, being taken completely by surprise.
At the garden he saw the body of his girl and started sobbing. Shocked the other members of the sect stopped at the entry of the garden, leaving space that was out of respect and out of fear of getting hit by the sect master, like those guards before.
Suddenly the advancing sect master stopped. He might have seen the bloody words floating in the air. "Who was this? I demand that you show yourself!" Yeah, sure as hell will I show myself. I want to have some attention to myself. Maybe I am some overpowered autist? Hopefully not. But I jumped down anyway. Landing with a boom directly beside him. "Hello there. How can I help you?"
