Chapter 14: Elder Ko

The People of Hera felt like they lost a pillar that held up their world that day as they started to mourn the Death of DoJack, Guardian of Planet Hera.

Floating in Space Zero undid his Ascendant Transformation causing his bio-gems to turn back to their original color as the tension due to his form left his body.

Noticing the end of the battle the Kianko made their way towards Zero in the spaceship, as they got closer they noticed Zero kneel over in pain.

'A Real Zenkai boost huh.'

As if alive, the muscles of Zero's body pulsated, moved, and expanded rapidly making his skin seem as if it was crawling along with the limits of his body.

Seeing the arriving Ship Zero lost consciousness for the first time as his Saiyan DNA ripped his body apart and pieced it back together making it stronger than ever before. Two Kianko come off the ship to retrieve Zero once he was safe aboard the ship they placed him in a healing pod.

Placing his hand on the Glass of the healing pod Koji looked at Zero.

"What should we do Taro? Without Zero-sama we are the highest-ranking aboard this ship, The Planet of Hera was his destination and we were briefed on the purpose of this expedition but how do we go about it?"

Koji looked at his friend who like him was at a loss on what to do, the two of them unlike their parents have never been off of Planet Zero. Interacting with lifeforms so different from them like the Heraian race is something that makes them nervous.

While some may say Zero is different, how are you able to interact with him? You must understand that since young they were introduced to stories of the Individual known as Zero. He was hailed as a supreme Being that could never be wrong, that will always protect them, and the list goes on. Zero was never considered an "Alien" nor an "Outsider" he was always "Zero-sama" and that's it.

Taro looked out the window towards the planet down below with a calm yet powerful gaze.

"Zero-sama gave guidelines to the other groups, Do Not eradicate the entire race and do not conquer the Planets. Establish trade, and build relationships to bring the species back to planet Zero. We know all we need to know to establish contact with these people, and we can also keep Zero-sama's wishes in mind as we do so."

Taro looked at his friend who adjusted his glasses and steeled his resolve as he nodded in agreement.

"I guess we should head down to Hear and speak to the Planet's leaders then, I hope we are doing what Zero-sama wishes but there is no way to know until he wakes up."

Taro agrees with his friend's statement as he prepares guards to go along with Koji and himself down to the planet.

When their Party arrived on the surface they were greeted by 10 extremely old members of the Race of Hera. Yet despite their age each one gave off a powerful aura albeit weaker than DoJack's but enough to warrant a sense of Apprehension in both Taro and Koji.

"We are known as the Council and we rule over the day to day operation of Planet Hera. I am known as Elder Ko, may I ask who we have the pleasure of speaking with?"

The old man Elder Ko smiled, his white teeth were a stark contrast to his green skin and orange hair. Like the other elders, he wore a golden robe with white trimming that covered the entire body with the exception of the hands, feet, and head. Unlike on Planet Zero, all of the Elders were male which seemed to signify a Patriarchal society, which while not outwardly expressing it displeased the two generals as they were used to a more equal way of doing things.

'Father said Zero-sama thought gender differences were nothing more than the ignorance of sapient life forms that evolved from animals. Fucking savages.'

Right away Taro thought the Heraian people were beneath the Kianko and of course Zero-sama due to their primitive and inefficient way of handling something as simple as sovereign rights. Koji notices the change in the attitude of his friend and decides to take the lead.

"I am General Koji, Head of Division Zero, to my left is General Taro, Head of Division One, we have come under the orders of Zero-Sama to initiate trade and other forms of interaction with Planet Hera and Planet Zero."

Elder Ko who was waiting for the larger Taro to respond was in shock when the smaller man responded, this change in expression did not miss the Generals' eyes as they both frowned.

'This Herian Race are a primitive bunch...If not for Zero-sama's wishes I wouldn't even converse with them.'

"Ah Welcome General Koji and General Taro to Planet Hera!"

Elder Ko smiled which caused the other Elders to smile as well. The Kianko Generals looked smiled in response as they were inwardly disgusted but they must endure.

'I really hope not all members of this race are like this man in front of us.'
