Chapter 3: Kai Crimson

My birthday is coming, and I have this strange feeling that I have to go to the mountain to see something, but my adopted grandmother has been taking care of me, I don't want to upset her by asking to go to Mabon Forest on some whim of feeling. Nana saved me from being orphaned and abandoned but has asked me to never expose my birthmark to anyone who comes from the forest for my own safety, I feel like she is hiding something from me that I should know, but every night before bed she tells me the same story over and over, and I am pretty sure I'll never forget it. She is a very tough nana for sure, because if I misbehave or don't mind my manners in front of others, she will scold me for hours. she prays for me every night, I overhear her late at night crying and praying about how a mother could abandon a child, leaving him to his fate on his own. She talks to the heavens a lot, but it's not like I understand what she means, but she always asks the heavens to forgive me for my past, but I don't think I did anything growing up that could offend the heavens. I go to school every day, I am a high honor student, rarely socialize, but also head of Student council in middle school, but I manage to somehow offend my classmates, and I get bullied a lot especially for my eyes and name. Everyone knows the legend and thought it was weird I was named after a man from another world who cursed the world after he lost his love from war between gods, humans, and demons. She was a human spiritualist a witch as some may call her with power as strong as the gods, fell in love with a fallen god Kairyu Crimson, Her love for him wasn't immediate, but hostile because she sensed his hatred for all life, but because she considered all life precious, she saved him from death, no one really knows how their love began and ended, but Legend told; she was killed mercilessly in cold blood to stop the war, her sacrifice was both a curse and a blessing. I don't want to be the kind of man who loves someone so much, that the pain of losing them would curse history for eternity. I heard others from school that there is a cursed tree that creates legends and death to ones who are not worthy. Mabon Village will be holding a harvest Festival, I really want to go but Nana said it's for the best if I don't go or get involved with Mabon Village. Now's not the time to be sad or think about that. I have to get ready for school.
