Chapter 99: Hardship of Saotori brothers
The next time Ylan found her is she's already in the orphanage and the Sato are processing her papers for adoption. When he first visits her, she didn't remember anything. She didn't remember him anymore.
"Hey Josh? Are you alright? Don't tell me you can sleep even your eyes are open?" Miko mocked on him.
"Idiot!!.." Ylan grab his marker and throw to him. "what are you saying again?"
Miko just catch the marker he threw. "I'm asking you if you're going to the orphanage today. They have an event there now right? And my sister is there too."
"Why you asked? Don't tell me you're going to gate-crash there again like what you did in her school?"
"Hey.. FYI dearest brother in law.. We don't do such a thing. We enter at the main gate like the other students do."
"Yeah right.. Using all fake ids and badges?"
"Well it's their fault that they didn't verified it first. C'mon let's go in the orphanage. I want to see what it looks like." Miko whined at him like a kid.
"We can't." before Ylan refuses him. Mako speak from behind.
"What do you mean we can't?" Miko asked his twin brother.
"Big brother just call. Nick will be there as a guest and big brother forbid us to see us all together in one place. So behave Miko let Josh go there alone to watch his wife for us."
"Yes Sir." Then Miko just sit down in front of a video game where his twin brother plays.
Ylan jaw drop because of this. So.. Even the monster know how to obey an order. Well it's understandable because the order comes from the Demon King. Honestly Ylan admire how the Saotori brothers managed to survive the crisis. Aside from Yui the Saotori boys also suffer more than you could imagine.
Especially his friend Jake who made a lot of difficult decisions. It's a good thing that the decision he made put his brothers in a good place. One of it is his decision for the twins. Jake literally sold the twins.
When they lost their sister, the Saotori brothers is like they also lost their reason to live. They become street children. Sleep and wake up on the sidewalk. Even Jake that time didn't know what to do. Until one time Mako get sick not long after Miko got sick. Since they don't have money to buy medicine and house to give them warmth and comfort the twins almost died because of it.
Jake didn't know where to go. And where to ask for help. Until on his walk around to find someone to help them. Jake saw an old man whose been beaten up by some men. He helped the old man and make those thugs leave him away. The old man asked Jake what he wants for reward in helping him. Jake then remember his brothers. Jake immediately tell the old man that he wants to send the twins to the hospital as soon as possible. The old man help him eventually. After paying their bill in advance and gave him a little more money. The old man told Jake that if he needs a job just look for him. The old man handed him a card and a cellphone to use.
When the twin get better, Jake started to fix their lives. He and Nick look again for a part time job as the twins go back again to school. Jake thought everything is fine like before. But he was wrong. The twins became rebellious, stubborn and hard headed. Everyday whenever there is a fight in school the twins are always involved. Until the school gave the twins a suspension. Jake scolded the twins as their big brother.
Months have been passed and the twins didn't do anything that will make Jake's headaches. He also called the old man for a job since the money they get from their part time job isn't enough. The old man saw how Jake fights those thugs on his own that's why the old man gave him a job as a bodyguard of one of the mafia leader. At first Jake is reluctant to accept because he knows how dangerous it is. Even the offer is so tempting he still think the safety of his brothers.
But when the twins strikes again. This time even in the streets the twins always got involved in riots and robbery which he sure the twins didn't do it. Instead of fetching them in school Jake found himself fetching and bailing out the twins from the prison. Jake can't control the twins anymore. Jake accepts the job to bail out the twins.
As the twins keeps on doing the same thing. Jake gave the twins some beating that will clear their heads. Before they totally destroy their future, Jake decides to sell the twins to another old wealthy man that he helped. The old man is actually the target of their assassination but base on the old man's background check he's a good man with no child at all. Jake didn't hesitate to help him in exchange that he will buy the twins and made treat them as his own kids. The old man agreed and Jake helped him to escape bringing the twins with him.
Jake keep the money for future use. And they use the salary he gets from his job in Nick's study. Jake do a self study whenever he has time. With a kind of job he has now, there's no way he can still continue his study. Sometimes Nick help him by asking his professor to come in their house to teach Jake. Everything went smooth with their lives they even managed to contact the twins. Jake apologized to his brother and tell them that he did it for their own good. The twins understand him and forgive him immediately. But everything changed when Jake's boss saw Nick.
Nick has a face of a beautiful girl. He really looks like a girl than a boy with his thin body. Little did Jake know. His boss threatened Nick that his boss will kill Jake if he won't agree to become his pet, his toy in short sex slave. Afraid that the boss really kill his brother Nick accept the humiliation and never told it to his brother.
One day Nick professor visited their house and look for his brother. Jake didn't know what to answer as all he knows his brother is never skip in classes. Jake waited for Nick to come home. When he saw him get down from his boss's car. Jake gone berserk. There's a rumor in their group that their boss have a new toy. Little did he know that, that toy is none other than his own brother.
Jake managed to gain some alliance in the underground world. He managed to kill some higher ups to gain some subordinates and position by killing one of the mafia boss. Jake wait for Nick to fall asleep before he does his plan. That was the time Ylan met Jake. Ylan help him eliminate his boss who humiliate his brother.
After that they become a duo and partner in crime. Ylan help him get back to those people who murder Jake's family and bring back what they belong to them.
Looking at them now. Ylan is happy and proud for his friend/brother in law. If there's an award for outstanding brother of all times, Jake deserves to receive one and must be one the top spot.
