Chapter 1: Fated Encounter

"C'mon, Ace! Just this once!" The owner of the sharp, melodious cheery voice was heard pleading his best friend. The owner of the voice had striking golden blond hair and a very tacky personality. He was an extremely renowned idol in the nation. Various agencies often come to him offering him opportunities to work for them. He had millions of fans supporting him across lands worldwide. He is a model, an idol, artist as well as an actor. His albums often achieved millions sales after merely few hours his songs were released. He was an extremely eminent influencer of the century. His name was August Ackermann. Whispers trailed after them as the pair bantered their way into the familiar bar. The banner read: SkyBar. Ace was reluctant, grudgingly was dragged into the familiar bar.

"Yahoo, Jeremiah! We're here again!" August had announced, his tacky personality had announced his grand entrance into the bar. Ace was a frequent victim of August's Brummagem behaviours.

Ace sighed. "Aug, how many times have I told you? Stop taking me to bars without my approval. I have tons of cases waiting for me at the office." He turned a step towards the door. August must have anticipated Ace's next step. He had known Ace since their middle school days. They also had been classmates for seven years before their classmates had parted ways after graduating from high school to develop their future careers. Ace was the only one who had remained in the city they had matured in. To them, this city was their hometown. It carries various fond memories of their childhood. However, among them, Ace had suffered the hardest. The disappearance of Nestor had left Ace disheartened and heartbroken for the longest time. August had occluded the entrance of the bar.

"Move aside, Aug." Ace had scowled. He was perturbed by his best friend.

"Don't be like this, Ace." August had dragged Ace to a table. "The usual please, Jeremiah." August had his sparkliest grin on display. Ace sighed. It was the umpteenth time he had allowed himself along with August's pace. "You should say something, Jeremiah! Don't you think Ace's becoming more lifeless since he disappeared?"

"Stop waltzing into my shop like a superstar. Look at poor Ace." Jeremiah sighed as he took August's orders. Jeremiah's assistants acknowledged August's orders as Jeremiah instructed them on mixing the drinks August had ordered for. "The choice is his to make, August. You should stop."

August pulled a face. Jeremiah chuckled and planted a small kiss on August's pale, rosy pink, lips. Although it was a secret, it was no secret between former classmates. It was a mystery that August were never caught by the paparazzi for going out with his former male classmate. August and Jeremiah's relationship didn't just sparked just recently. They were what you could call, childhood sweethearts. Ace had believed they were a perfect match. It was a pair of idiots that they could fall in love with each other. Jeremiah's assistants served the drinks August had asked for. The cocktails had come in a dainty glass. It was delicate and small, ample to fit in his delicate fingers. Ace had noted it had a slice of lime at the side of the glass. Lifting the glass to his lips benignly, Ace was like a painting that had been breathed with essence. It was breathtaking. The bickering August and Jeremiah had halted their banter, gave a small sigh. As Ace's best friends, they sometimes wished Ace would have left the memories of him in the past.

"I'm not hooked up in the past." Ace took another sip of the cocktail. He possess such ravishing elegance, the bar couldn't help but be tranced by Ace's beauty. Jeremiah and August both shook their heads. It must be crime to be that alluring.

"Jeremiah, let's dance!" August had tugged the bar owner onto the dance floor. Ace was left alone at the table, with a cup of cocktail in his delicate hands. Ace had look lost without his two best friends. Ace had often felt grateful to his friends. He glanced at the bar. There were various personnel which had came to the bar to spend the night with. Many had come to seek for partners. They had enjoyed the alcohol-laced drinks, some were socialites from extremely prestigious families. Ace was different. He sighed as he reached for the choker with the tips of his delicate fingers. The history of him and that man was long past. Jeremiah and August were right. After all, it's been seven years.

He knew this was going to happen. This had happened each time he was brought to this bar. Yet, Ace didn't have the heart to reject his best friend's good intentions. He only had himself to blame.

Just as Ace was reminiscing the memories of the past, a man who had stood out among the people who came to the bar. He had an impressive appearance, had put even the prince to silence. Kuroko had laid eyes on him, had felt he was no ordinary man. Just as he was about to ditch his two best friends who were busy dancing, the man had settled in the seat next to him. The man had the appearance of a young master. He donned a suit with such refined fabric, the most expensive cologne he had ever taken a whiff of, and his carefully vermillion crimson hair was combed to a side. The brief moment that their clear orbs met, Ace felt that his breath was taken away.

"One martini, please." He had told the bartender on duty. The bartender had nodded, began mixing the drink the man had asked for. The martini had come with a small glass, with a lemon on the side. Ace had noted that he was from a distinguished background. Ace swore not to interfere with this man. This man was dangerous, Ace had thought. Ace had lost his chance to ditch his best friends. The man had turned to him. "You seem lost. Can I buy you a drink?" the man had asked, staring into Ace's blank expression. The deep voice of the stranger had stirred cold shivers down his spine. He had made him remembered, the memorable time he had with him. It had also puzzled Ace, his dull existence didn't work on him. What was so special about him, Ace had to find out. He just had to ask that man.

He is not him, Ace scolded himself.

"Why would you do that?" Ace could not explain the burning feelings he was beginning to harbor for that man, buried deep within his heart. He experienced the feelings of being dazed and overwhelmed. It was new, something he had not experienced since he was disheartened by him all those years ago. Ace was used being phlegmatic and apathetic.

The man had hummed. "If I had to answer, maybe it was because I was attracted to you? You seem alone, though you never came alone." The man had smiled at him.

Ace flushed. He had turned away shyly in embarrassment. "What do you mean? That is not possible." Ace could feel the growing heat permeating through surface of his cheeks. His cheeks were slowly, gradually tinted with colors of erubescence. "This is our first meeting. How could we have known each other?" Ace had protested.

The man had chuckled. He would not forgive him for forgetting him. The man had closed the proximity between them, pulled Ace into a deep kiss. Ace had his hands against that man, putting his best effort to push the other away. A person like Ace with such a delicate figure had appeared to be impossible. He gently bit Ace's lips, granting him access, revealing the entrance of his territory. Ace had gasped and moaned from the elated euphoria of pleasure he was granted. Their tongues battled for dominance, which the man had won the battle victorious. That man had taken the opportunity to explore the wet caverns, each and every nook and cranny of Ace's territory. The way the man had kissed him, Ace felt so familiar. It was as if he had returned to his side. It was then the man had released his grasps. The both of them were breathing hard, as if they have been trudging through the woods for hours. It had entailed the sudden lack of air.

"You look beautiful tonight, Ace." The man gave Ace a gentle smile. He had taken hold of Ace's cellphone, had sent a single message to his own cellphone before replacing them into Ace's delicate hands. "Please call me, Ace. We'll definitely see each other again." His deep baritone had sent Ace's mind ringing. There was no one like him. "Do you remember me now?"

When Ace realized the truth, utter horror had dawned on him. "Nestor! How could you do that to me?" The man had identified as Nestor had stretched his palms, began caressing his cheeks and the fallen strands of his pale blue hair.

"It must be August and Jeremiah who had left you stranded all alone," Nestor had sighed.

"How dare you come back after what you have done." Ace had glared at him. "It's been seven years. What are you trying to do? Trick me for the second time? It's no use crying over spilt milk, Nestor. You should forget about me. Besides, I've already moved on."

"Huh, is that so." Nestor had a dark expression etched on his face. "Weren't you just thinking about me before I kissed you? Are you sure your boyfriend will be happy if his mate is thinking about another guy in his absence?" Nestor had smirked. "For the past seven years, your body still remembers. I am the only one who can be your mate." His fingers trickled down the line of his choker. It sent shivers down his spine. "After all, we're destined to be together."

Ace was still in a daze, his cell phone was still tightly clutched in his delicate hands as Nestor vanished among the crowd of people. His brain was still registering what had just happened a few minutes ago. August and Jeremiah who had returned from the dance floor had witnessed the entire scene. "Ace!" August had gasped, wailing and flailing his hands. Jeremiah had grabbed hold of his partner, shaking his head. Throughout his years as a military commander, he could recognize any personnel on sight. He felt Ace had allowed that on himself. He was pretty sure that man who had kissed Ace was Nestor.

The man who had a huge impact on Ace, and the man who was reported to be missing for seven years.

"What are you doing, Jeremiah? Ace has been defiled!" August's big crocodile tears flowed down his smooth cheeks.

"Calm down, Aug. Look closely." Jeremiah advised his partner. "No matter how you see it, that man is Nestor." August had flinched at his partner's words. He looked closer, but he couldn't tell who he was. He was dressed so refined and elegant, he could be mistaken for an aristocrat. After Nestor had left, Jeremiah and August reapproached Ace.

"Congratz on being laid, Ace." Jeremiah had winked. "We saw the whole thing." Hearing Jeremiah's voice, Ace snapped out of his trance.

"Wha- What?" Ace had asked blankly.

Jeremiah and August sighed. He dear friend was completely taken by Nestor. August had jumped onto his best friend. "Ace~!" He had wailed.

"Get off me. You're heavy, Aug." Ace blank personality had returned. Ace then stared at Jeremiah. "You don't have to play dumb. Jeremiah. You knew it was Nestor." Both August and Jeremiah flinched this time.

"What happened back there?" Jeremiah questioned.

Ace had shook his head. "I don't know. All I know, Nestor is back." Ace replied. "What he is back for, I do not know. I'm not future lies ahead. I pray that we will be at peace." August and Jeremiah nodded. After all, they could only wished for their best friend's happiness. It's been seven years, it was Nestor who could rekindle Ace's passion for love. His return would definitely stir a huge impact on Ace. Jeremiah was sure of that.

Nestor chuckled as his men waited for his return. "Sir, what happened?" His men had asked. Nestor shook his head. He glanced at the night view of the sky, the men of the underworld left the bar. Ace was his reason for returning. No one will take Ace away from him. Even far apart, Nestor had known Ace had impassive and detached perspective passion of love. His return had rekindled his buried love for him. The lust of Ace's body was ample evidence, Ace was his everlasting love. After all, they were destined partners.

"You will be mine once again, Ace."
