Chapter 41: You Just Need More Beating!
In the sky, there was a gold-winged human tumbling in the air. Its body was covered with blood, staining its snow white fleshy mounds and the rest of its body, which was equipped with demoness armor.
A dagger was embedded deep between its fleshy mounds.
Fresh blood flowed endlessly, dyeing its whole body red.
It hovered in the air with great difficulty, shuddering and trembling as it flew. It looked like it wanted to escape from the battle. However, it didn't even have the energy to even flap its wings.
In the end, it flew even lower and lower to the ground, and finally dropped to the ground in front of Tian Lang with a loud thudding sound... It looked like it was struggling to crawl up, but just as it was about to get up, it violently vomited a whole mouthful of blood and fainted to the ground in pain.
Had this Bloody Queen and Demon Commander both fought until they were so heavily injured?
Tian Lang felt his heart thumping. He was so excited that he had the urge to slaughter all the demons. Doesn't this show that the world had sent this Bloody Queen to him? What greater fleshy mounds? Tian Lang forgot about such things when he saw the bare fleshy mounds.
He definitely had to get this Bloody Queen as soon as possible! Naturally, for that–
"Idiot," while Tian Lang was troubled by the multiple attractive choices, a figure had appeared behind his back.
The figure wielded a weirdly shaped Demon Blade, which oozed with ominous dark smoke, and swung it at the back of the troubled Tian Lang.
Just when the figure thought it whittled down the number of enemies, it found its hand stuck in mid-air.
Tian Lang had long disappeared.
The figure realized it fell into a trap. But it couldn't move its body optimally. Dark ribbon-like bands wrapped around its body to the arm which held the Demon Blade. The bands suddenly tightened and the figure stood still like a statue.
"Yup, I agree." Tian Lang said from above. Claws extended from his left foot as he plunged them on the demon's chest.
Boom!
The figure involuntarily flew forward from the kick's impact, flying straight on the ground like an arrow, hitting every single demon corpse on its path before crashing completely opposite to Bloody Queen, making a loud, thundering sound upon the impact.
Tian Lang jerked his foot, and the blood from it dispersed. The Shadow Leopard returned to his shadow.
Now that the figure, which was the Demon Knight Ma Li Ang, was dealt with, the next things should proceed smoothly.
What Tian Lang wanted was to contract the Bloody Queen fast. If he wanted to do that, he had to make sure nothing got in his way. Naturally, Tian Lang had to remove his enemy commander.
His strategy was simple, kill the Leader, and the army shall follow.
Since he had to remove the commander, would he let the target go out of his vision?
Mi Li Ang thought Tian Lang was affected by the Banshee Scream and sneaked an attack, but with the bodyguard which spied 24/7, even if Tian Lang took no action, he had no worries of getting sneaked on.
He even sent Ma Li Ang opposite to the Bloody Queen to avoid Flower Fairy's suspicion. After all, Ma Li Ang had strength equal to Flower Fairy, and he portrayed himself as someone weaker.
He immediately jumped to the unconscious flying dragon and punched the head, intending to make a hole. However, aside from a deep depression and bloody cracks, the head remained in one piece.
Tian Lang gasped. As expected of a mighty dragon! Not only did it not die, it even started to wake up!
So, Tian Lang threw another punch, and another, then another, and finally got his hand on the dragon crystal.
So, what if you are a mighty dragon? You just need more beating than the others.
But the prized dragon crystal only brought disappointment to the greedy wolf. Forget about quality and quantity, the cloudy appearance alone was lackluster compared to what he snacked on.
Tian Lang gave the crystal to the Shadow Leopard. By then, the six Demon Generals started shaking their heads, their expressions filled with pain as they slowly stood up one by one.
The Ghost-clawed Rainbow-winged Banshee had successfully struggled free from the spider's net at some point in time, but it didn't continue to battle. Instead, it flew straight to the sky in panic.
The Bloody Queen had suffered a grave injury and was going to die soon. Furthermore, the battle situation didn't look good at all. This Ghost-clawed Rainbow-winged banshee had actually abandoned its Bloody Queen and the land it was protecting, escaping on its own.
On the other hand, the Blade Massacring Demoness that woke up from its dizziness decided not to retreat even when facing death. It charged furiously against the army of monsters, devouring them and attacking savagely. It refused to leave the battlefield no matter what.
More than once, it tried to charge forward to help its gravely injured Bloody Queen, but due to its low intelligence, it received another poison-laced attack from the Manic Red Ant. It became an easy target for the Demon Generals to attack. It was provoked to the point that it forgot its mission to save the Bloody Queen, only caring to pursue the Demon Generals instead. Otherwise, it would savagely attack the monsters beside it.
They hadn't been able to endure the Bloody Queen's Banshee Scream, no matter how strong their abilities had been.
Flower Fairy looked at Tian Lang. Not only had this brat not suffered from any kind of effects, he even had a flying dragon corpse by the side. It calmed down and gained much more confidence in him.
If it hadn't confirmed Tian Lang's strength, it wouldn't have taken a random country bumpkin who was still going through Refining on the first floor to go to the third floor of Tong Tian Tower in advance, let alone bringing that person along to kill the Bloody Queen.
Then it searched for the enemy commander, Ma Li Ang, who clutched its chest and hid inside the Halo Shield. Against all expectations, Ma Li Ang survived and even summoned its grimoire.
When Tian Lang followed Flower Fairy's gaze and saw Ma Li Ang alive and coughing, he was beyond dumbstruck. He felt its heart being crushed under his claws, how could it still survive? This, if Ma Li Ang spilled the beans won't he be in great trouble?
"Kill him for me!" Ma Li Ang had no intention to embarrass itself. Just a tiny misunderstanding cost it one of his demon hearts. The loss was enough to make it grief for days. Facing its personally picked trusted aides, coupled with almost a hundred elite soldiers that it handpicked personally, how long would that frightening thief stand against them?
"Yes, Sir." The five Demon Generals loudly pledged.
The five Demon Generals didn't attack together immediately, for they did not feel that a little human thief deserves to fight against the strength of all five of them put together.
"Little worm, just because you got a lucky chance, don't get too haughty," Ma Li Ang uttered every word while gritting its teeth. If eyes could kill, Tian Lang would've already died over a hundred times.
"Don't talk to him. He has a strange beast called Roaring Flying Dragon, which is a Blind Flying Dragon's soul. As long as you speak to him, then you would be silenced for at least five minutes. He wanted to stop you from summoning your grimoire. Quickly kill the Demon Generals, this fellow is mine!" Even before Flower Fairy finished speaking, Tian Lang saw that from Ma Li Ang's armor, a dark ball of energy oozed out, transforming slowly into a flying dragon's figure, charging towards Flower Fairy.
Flower Fairy was already prepared from the beginning. Raising its hands, it summoned a gold-ranked grimoire. A bright yellow color shield suddenly appeared, blocking the black energy that was shaped like a flying dragon just in time, keeping it outside the shield.
"Luo Hua City Mistress, long time no see. There's no meaning in fighting you; we've fought a dozen times but always end up in a draw. I believe this time would be no different. Why don't we skip all these useless fights?" Ma Li Ang inwardly cursed. That thief alone was frightening, why did it have to meet this strong foe, Luo Hua City Mistress now?
"For all I can see, you've already lost. I can see you are missing one Demon Heart, come, let me help you get the other one out," Flower Fairy laughed and started to channel its spirit energy to condense Aurora.
"Corroding Flying Dragon! Silver-spotted Flying Dragon!" Ma Li Ang summoned one dragon after another.
The three-tailed Snow Fox hid inside Flower Fairy's Halo Shield. This Corroding Flying Dragon was Ma Li Ang's method to fight against the Six-tailed Fox Spirit that Three-tailed Snow Fox would transform into.
The six-tailed Fox Spirit was extremely pure, hence it was afraid of contamination. If its pure spirit was contaminated, then it's battle power would be greatly reduced.
Flower Fairy humphed coldly as it summoned a Bright Fairy and ordered it to hover inside, absorbing and storing its light ability rapidly.
Tian Lang was amazed. This demon had a horde of flying dragons! Flower Fairy also had summoned beasts that he wasn't aware of. Both were strong in their own way.
"Be careful, if it gets really dangerous, summon your grimoire and hide inside the shield." Flower Fairy warned Tian Lang as it closed its eyes and concentrated, preparing to use the quickest method to store light energy and use it to immediately kill the monster army and the Demon Generals.
"Kill." Ma Li Ang obviously knew the terrifying power of the aura attack. It immediately raised its hands towards Tian Lang and signaled the Demon Generals to kill him.
Tian Lang shrugged. Since Ma Li Ang decided against spilling the secrets, he had nothing to worry about. He skillfully avoided the Demon Generals and stopped in front of the unconscious Blood Queen.
Summoning his grimoire, he deployed the Halo Shield for the first time. Unlike Ma Li Ang and Flower Fairy's bright yellow halo shield, his was different. It looked entirely transparent with few dim stars, which were easily ignored.
Only now did Tian Lang manage to see clearly what the Bloody Queen really looked like.
A headful of curly blazing red hair was draped over its shoulders and back. At the back, there was a pair of golden angelic wings. At the tips of the wings, sharp ends that looked like the wings of a devil were present, giving the sense of strangeness where good and evil coexisted together.
From time to time, a beam of gold would flash from its body. These beams of gold signified a Gold-ranked King Beast's presence.
Most of the skin in front was bare. However, The Bloody Queen had a few golden bands around its arms.
Its fleshy mounds were covered by some type of crimson plate armor. On top, a violet-black cufflink connected a few pieces of silk between its two mounds. This crimson plate armor was clearly a special clothing. It barely covered the fleshy mounds' tip that looked like a flower bud, adding a kind of extra allure and attractiveness to it.
As for what remained below, Tian Lang had no time to care for. He knew this pair of fleshy mounds had something different. This attractiveness, it must be unique. No wonder, even after being a level 5 beast, its scream alone threatened higher level beasts.
Tian Lang lifted his shirt and glanced at the Bloody Queen. The difference between their attractiveness alone made him go crazy. He wanted to poke around and figure out what caused this Bloody Queen's fleshy mounds to be so impressive.
But a gold-ranked Dragon Slaying Dagger was pierced from the Bloody Queen's back, so he was afraid this injured Queen might die anytime. Tian Lang gently patted its cheeks, hoping to wake it up.
The Bloody Queen snapped its light blue eyes open, which carried a tinge of purple, and let out a mournful scream, "AaeaaaAAAAA~"
Tian Lang gave the Bloody Queen a hard slap and stuffed his fingers in its mouth.
He had been gentle and careful with it. How dare it scare him with such a frightening scream? However, the scream was more terrifying than Tian Lang thought. Thudding noises sounded one after another.
