Chapter 4: Notorious Guy v.s. Ghost Freak
Ray made his way to his first class of the day while managing to avoid Guy completely. He also made his way to his second and third block class while hearing occasional shouting.
Slippy: "You made it Ray!"
Standing by the school cafeteria Ray smiled darkly to himself.
Ray had successfully sneaked around into lunchtime.
The scary-looking screen from earlier flashed in his mind.

Don't get f*cked up by Guy

-As you don't get beaten by Guy before 12:40 pm, you'll pass
-Use whatever means possible
-Remember, don't get f*cked up by Guy
Reward
-Change of System to fit host needs and condition (6 weeks time)
-Information Report on Guy's stats
-"Ultimate Fighting manual"
-Special mission award: Tactical retreat unlocked!

Ray's eyes popped out. Isn't that a lot of rewards? The last mission he had gave abstract rewards that he didn't even use or pay attention to. This one actually gave him a skill, as well as information on his opponent. If Slippy had a face, he would have a cheeky frown on it.
"No, Ray. it's your first special mission. It is handing out special one-time awards as well as the standard system free handouts."
Standard System handouts?
"Yeah since I am the ultimate fighting system you'll get the Ultimate Fighting manual of course."
What about the other awards? Isn't it still too much?
"The report on Guy is a thing that the first-rate systems do for the first encounter. The Special mission award is for completing the special mission of course. Depending on the way you finish the mission you will get different awards."
"That makes a lot of sense Slippy!"
As much sense as it could to the mentally challenged Ray, at least.
While Slippy and Ray conversed. A couple of guys were sniggering at them.
"Look at that loser talking to himself. I almost feel sorry for him."
"What a freak. He must be autistic lol!"
They burst into laughter. A girl sipping on bubble tea approached them, "Say, doesn't he look familiar?"
Ths group of boys stopped laughing and took a good look at Ray.
"Now that you mention it…"
"Oh, isn't he the guy that Guy was chasing?" Said a tall, beefy looking boy.
"Oh yeah, that guy! He ran so fast lmao.!"
The girl frowned. Tuning out the boys, she thought, "I am pretty sure I saw him in the Betelgeuse region. What's a rich kid from Betelgeuse doing all the way over here?"
Meanwhile, Ray continued to ask Slippy questions. "So what's the System change thingy?"
Slippy:...
"Ray. Do you know why I am a bar of soap?"
"Nope."
The people walking around Ray started edging away from Ray as if there was an invisible force field bubble around him.
"I thought he was talking to himself, but why are there two voices? Is he talking to a ghost?"
"My grandma told me that if you find a ghost just stay away and ignore them or else they will find and haunt you!"
As Slippy was about to reply to Ray. Guy showed up in front of Ray with a wide grin.
"Bitch, I was searching for you all day! Never expected the Ghost boy to be you! You weird freak!"
He shoved Ray onto the ground. Ray landed on his back and slides on the faded wax on the floor.
Slippy: "Sh*t."
Guy started walking towards Ray. Pointing at Ray, he shouted defiantly, "You're going to get it for taking my shoe and phone!"
Oh, yeah. We still had his shoe and phone. Well actually…
"Ray, use your leg to keep him away! If he stomps your head. You're dead!"
He pulled his elbow back for a haymaker when suddenly Ray kicked out at him. Hitting him at his chest and knocking him onto his ass. Surprising everyone including Slippy. Who knew Ray was so good at following specific instructions!
Guy wasn't damaged at all though, considering Ray's strength was negative in the quadruple digits. However, he was surprised enough to pause for a few seconds, fear bubbling back up from his inner cowardice that encouraged him to only pick on the weak.
"Ray he's stronger than you, but you have a faster reaction time than him. Use your head and legs to outmaneuver him!"
"Huh, am I hearing things? I think I hear a ghost."
Ray scrambled back up and was about to run when he realized that a crowd had formed and that a beefy guy was looking at him with a vicious smile.
The delinquent chuckled maliciously, "Nobody is leaving here until one of you is put in the hospital."
Well so much for escaping, thought Ray as he turned around face to face with Guy who had recovered his vigour in the time that Ray was looking at the crowd.
"Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight!!"
The crowd chanted in a hysterical mob mentality. This really was a delinquent school in the ghetto quarter of town.
"You're fucking going down!" Said Guy, grinding his teeth.
Before Ray or Slippy had time to react he swung a wide right hook at Ray who barely dodged it by pulling back his head, dodging it by a hair, but in doing so Ray has lost his advantage of reaction as he was now off-balanced and backed up against the crowd. Ray started feeling the cold sweat of dread dripping down his back. This ain't good, he thought. Guy stepped forward with his left foot, grabbed Ray's right shoulder and started smashing his fist into Ray.
Slippy: "Ray, grab onto your head and form a guard!"
Ray: "...What is a guard?"
Slippy explained it to him in the quickest and simplest way possible in the midst of the fight. By then Guy had hit Ray four times in the stomach and chest area when he finally put up his guard. Guy, noticing that Ray had put up a guard, decided to continue hitting his guard until he can break through.
Slippy: "Now keep your arms there and turn your hands into fists!"
Ray was terrified at this point. He was seeing white stars due to the fact that Guy had continued hammering blow after blow onto the guard which, while it did reduce the damage, his brain was still being violently shaken.
"What did I do to be treated like this?" thought Ray. What did I ever do to you that would cause you to hate me so badly?"
Ray didn't do anything, of course. Rather, it was because Ray didn't do anything to show others not to mess with him that a slimeball like Guy decided he was an easy target in this school full of muscle heads. Hearing Slippy giving him more instructions, Ray turned his hands into fists.
Guy was bashing unrelentlessly onto his guard and he had to keep pushing his arms into place. His arms were feeling tired and not to mention painful.
"Ray, rush forward!"
Hearing that, usually Ray would be confused and hesitant, but being pounded by a bully would make almost anyone mad and impulsive. Ray rushed forward into Guy and heard Slippy yelling at him one last time.
"Use your head!"
Before being knocked down.
Guy had broken through his guard and just so happened to hit a bit of Ray's chin!
"Ahaha that's what you f*cking get! That's what you f*cking get for taking my phone and shoes you freak!"
Guy cackled.
He grabbed onto Ray to pound him some more when two hands grabbed onto his arms.
Ray smashed Guy in a stunning headbutt right on the chin. His head whipped back as he collapsed onto the ground, leaving Ray breathing heavily before eventually collapsing as well.
And of course, as expected.
The crowd went wild. Hysterical screams and shouts of the uproar echoed through the hallway.
"Did you see that! Did you f*cking see that?"
"What a f*cking freak! Who would have guessed? A motherf*cking headbutt!"
Soon gossip of this headbutting battle ghost freak could be heard throughout the whole school.
"Did you hear? Guy got beat by a freak who talks to himself."
"Yeah, I saw it. Guy was pounding and destroying that guy when suddenly that freak grabbed his arms and smashed him with a headbutt right on the chin!"
"Ray you did great. You did great." Slippy's voice echoed in and out of Ray's head.
Slippy, sensing Ray's condition sighed wistfully.
He's very good at following instructions at least, but we still got a long way to go.
"Whoa everyone look! Guy is getting up!"
Raising his head, Ray could see Guy struggling to stand up. Catching his eyes, Guy glared back at Ray, frightening the poor boy. Isn't the fight over, he thought?
Guy's legs were wobbling so much that it was a miracle that he didn't fall down. Ray's headbutt wasn't strong, but Guy was never a strong guy in the first place. As soon as Ray attacked him back, his inner coward awakened and he was ready to run for it.
Seeing this Slippy quietly whispered to Ray.
"Kick him in the balls, Ray. As hard as you can."

Soon words of this spread to other schools through social media. Guy's notorious reputation of beating up those who he thought were weaker than him was well known around the Sirius region, but Guy was also famous for another reason. It was commonly known that the only reason that he is in the Blood Lake gang despite being untrained and weak was that he got many connections throughout the Sirius region from the amount of bootlicking that he did. That's the reason nobody dared to be a good Samaritan and stop his despicable act was because the last guy that dared to was beaten to an inch of his life by one of Guy's Goonies.
Quietly, in the corner of Ray's vision, a number went up.
Although Ray himself didn't notice, Slippy was happy.
